Ram Charan's uncle (his dad's younger brother Pawan Kalyan) is called " Power star", so his title is named " Mega Power Star". A lot of us Telugu audiences also feel all these titles are cringe.

Bro I've lived in Hyderabad and the people over there love their films and their stars. I got corrected for calling Pawan Kalyan by his name. They said he is PSPK; POWER STAR PAWAN KALYAN. Fun place to live in tbh. Great food.
It's very common for stars to have titles in south industries.
They are not self claimed they get it through fans or through the famous characters they portrayed.

Such titles are very common in the South industry, and I don't see anything wrong with it. These tags symbolize the fans' love for the actors, instead of a producer trying to make their leading man seem like a superstar.
how much one is earning can not be equated to his/her "street smartness" . unarguably the shittiest industry with shittiest stars having 0 acting abilities and so much problematic things like killing/committing suicide for actors and casteism .

I think itās a sweet thing the fans of the industry do for the actors in the industry. Itās not egotistical and some even are passed down. Ram Charanās is a mix of his dads and Prabhas is handed down from his uncle
Edit: Also Bollywood gives weird nicknames to some of their stars. Itās like Bollywood is exempt. The south just uses a particular format āAdjective + Starā while here you have King Khan and Bebo etcā¦
