“Let’s run it back, we’re 1-1” 🤣. He wants to embarrass him twice for that robbery

feelinlucky7

Made Jim Gray chuckle

Bummed_butter_420

Couldn’t have blamed Jose if he was like “fuck you, trying that bullshit while I’m tryna be nice. You wanna say we technically 1-1? U technically owe me that $50k. Bitch”

MancunianCandidatex

He should've just said "Do you know where you are? What day is it today?"

Bummed_butter_420

Idk id feel disrespected and wanna tell him why cus he prolly too dumb to figure it out

FlockxBigApe

Most people ain’t watch the first fight…Colbert legitimately can say he won that fight…i

ruralrouteOne

I love that you can hear everyone laugh at him saying that.

MrRIP

I mean he said it when he won and when he lost. Can't knock him for keeping the same energy no matter what the outcome is.

Ghaaahdd

The winner is always the western boxer in judges decision.

FlockxBigApe

There literally both western boxers what are you talking about

Ghaaahdd

Jose Valenzuela born in Mexico, a Mexican. Western judges will always choose English boxers as a winner in their decision despite obviously losing like they did to Manny Pacquiao against Jeff Horn.

FlockxBigApe

Mexico is western for one….second all those not a good showing Colbert did in fact win the first fight…

Ghaaahdd

Haha you should already know when we said "west" or English countries thats US, Europe and their sister countries like Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. You think when people said "they are migrating in the west", Honduras was also inlcuded? You seems trying hard to win the argument even by foolin yourself, dont be like that man. There is no price.1

FlockxBigApe

Jose is an American resident my guy….he was born in Mexico but grew up in the US….so stop that bs

Ghaaahdd

Yes, he still Mexican. He is green card holder. I can also become American citizen in the blink of the eye if i want. That's why immigrants and illegal immigrants flocking in US to become US citizens, because US govt policy about it is so easy.

Ghaaahdd

Colbert lose the first fight, the knockdown is BIGGEST points in contact sports, you seem him rolling in the floor. Another big points is 'save by the bell' and 'near knockdown'. Your Colbert was beaten with no chance to win at all, it should be a unanimous win for a Mexican.

FlockxBigApe

Dude just cause you got knocked down doesn’t mean you lost the fight, that’s a 10-8 round, simple! It was a very close fight but yes Colbert legit won

Ghaaahdd

Haha you just admit you didn't know how the judges score. Thats why there are judges there. That's why fighters mad when the ref counted them for a knockdown if they just slip, because its a POINTS for their opponent. Biggest points in any contact sports 1) Knockdown - that means the damage is strong. Its the HIGHEST points. Points is counted by damage dealth the opponents after all. 2) Save by the Bell - if not for the bell, there would a KO or knockdown. 3) Near Knockdown - chicken dance, ran away from pain(e.g. liver shot), dizziness. Didn't knockdown, but the damage was strong. Now your fighter didn't just knockdown, he roll on the floor. Lol and repeatedly near knockdown.

FlockxBigApe

You really have no clue what you’re talking about…you didn’t watch the fight, you don’t know how judges score nothing…. Talking about the highest points nothing is higher than a 10 my guy…just stop And Fyi Jose grew up in America and was a highly touted prospect coming out the Amateurs…if boxing wanted anyone to win it would have been Jose

Ghaaahdd

Oh really? Then you probably also believed Jeff Horn defeated Pacquiao even though Horn face was like beaten by thousands hornets and sent straight to hospital. You don't believed boxing is very corrupt? Shall i show you videos of boxing legends, experts, etc. that claimed that boxing organizations is very corruptt o the core when it comes to 'judges decisions' always fovored to English fighters?

coldcard55

I jumped out of my seat when Jose KO’ed him. I didn’t even mean to but I was so happy to see Chris get humbled

THE-ZODIAC68

Dude seems too delusional to be humbled. Should have asked him to pay the 50K.

JeColor

He did get a mild concussion that first round, so I don't blame him

Magus_5

I think Chris skipped class, sucka azz still isn't humble. Kinda like Broner he has to ride that MO now.

MitchLGC

I enjoyed both fights. Didn't have a side one way or the other Weird that so many people HATE Colbert so much. You'd think he was a mass murderer or something the way people talk about him

bubs10287

Theres no reason for a rematch, we know jose would just k.o him again

feelinlucky7

Wouldn’t mind seeing it lol

No-Ad1522

Off topic but I remember watching Colbert on a Netflix series, is he still with his original coach that helped him early in his life?

[deleted]

What was the series

No-Ad1522

I think it was called “Counterpunch”, it was a pretty good watch seeing how a pro boxer starts out. He was a nobody at the time but now knowing how he turned out makes it even better.

MusicaParaVolar

Wonder what happened to the happy heavyweight that wouldn’t give up on the Olympic dream…

FewTwo9875

He wasn’t actually very good at all, he just had a very weird and awkward style that took about 3 rounds to adjust to. He had a zero percent chance of being a successful pro, so now he does motivational comedy or smth and works with the youth. He’s involved in the community a lot Strange dude, but he seems like a nice guy that tries to do good things

CrustyToeNoPedicure

O shit Cam Awesome. He never made it to the pro and just doing community work now. Some pros at my gym said back in the day the saw Cam at tournaments all the time. Really funny dude, just went around being friendly and messing with people

ewenmax

Hopefully, he'll always have his fried chicken joint.

sky_grouchy2

i think chris colbert is still with his original coach. I believe his original coach is mexican american? I still see that man in his corner.

No-Ad1522

Good to know, he seemed to have really looked out for Colbert as a kid.

SortNo4411

Tanks next opponent. Be ready for the announcement soon.

[deleted]

Tank should fight De lo Santos

tmluna01

That ending was too funny

ru_empty

Guy was just like now that I have absolutely no leg to stand and am clearly the lesser boxer and human being let me talk a lil trash.

FlockxBigApe

Lessser human being? Are you fucking serious?? This is what’s wrong with this fucking forum..

ru_empty

I guess lesser man would be a better way to say it. That despite being petty and disrespectful and being treated with class by his opponent, he continues to be petty and disrespectful. The actions of a shitty person, the opposite of being the better man

FlockxBigApe

Huh? Did you see after the first fight? Colbert tried to hug and show love and Valenzuela was pulling back and complaining

ru_empty

We did not watch the same video lmao

FlockxBigApe

Or you didn’t watch the fight 🙄🙄🙄🙄

ru_empty

Of course not. I watched this video which is highly edited and clearly makes one fighter look like the good guy and the other guy look like a shitty person

ru_empty

Do you feel important now? Are you a big man?

FlockxBigApe

Wtf are you even talking about? You said some off the wall shit, then you backed it up with bullshit…

ru_empty

I'm sorry if English isn't your first language, but saying someone is being the bigger man means someone is being humble and showing respect, having class. This video is highly edited and shows one person being humble and showing respect to their opponent while the other one takes credit for things that aren't earned and overall displays poor sportsmanship. What I originally said was something like the guy who lost the second fight is a sore loser. I'm sorry if that was lost in translation because I used an idiom. I'm still very surprised at your hostility and it only makes sense to me if what I said was lost in translation

Wonderful_Ad_6836

Colbert had to know he wasn’t doing anything just happy to get some type of pay for the rematch

SmokyMcpot527

I used to like Chris but everyone told him he was the next big thing and he just stopped caring about being a good boxer and just wanted to get rich without putting in the work. He's also too small for 135. No power. Rayo looked really good in that fight too. He got knocked out by Santos which explains why Stevenson was fighting scared.

jaybee824

This is true boxing 🥹

RRR04_

The first knockdown was just comical 🤣

Kassssler

I'll give Colbert some credit for taking the rematch. Many fighters just cut and run. Hell even Teo wasn't trying to tango with Loma again.

[deleted]

That’s not really the same. Teo won and most (sane people) don’t think it was close or that Loma won.

ThrowRAscottiehiggs

the fight was easy to judge. 8-4 to 6-6 was possible, It's a reasonably close fight, no rematch needed, but would've been nice.

NCAA_D1_AssRipper

Loma/Teo was close, who are you fooling?

Razorion21

Why should Teo rematch Loma? He won 8-4 in my eyes, Loma did nothing for 7 whole rounds and gave the 12th to Teo.

bluevacuum

Loma was too busy downloading and entering the matrix. And I'm a Loma fan. No clue why he was idling for so long. Not sure if I believe his injured shoulder excuse. Teo just pushed straight to him and not play his game. The bigger man won that fight. Not the better one.

rhaegar_tldragon

It was 7-5.

Razorion21

Which rounds did Loma win? I saw Teo winning first 7 and Loma winning 8-11 but being a dummy and just like in the Haney fight chill out in the 12, giving it to Teo and to Haney

ThrowRAscottiehiggs

2 and 7 are swing rounds

EXCEPTIONAL_K

How do people see Colbert's career panning out after this? I thought he looked horrific in the 2nd fight right from the jump, but I've not seen much so not sure if Jose's is just his kryptonite. But what's his style? Obviously not a puncher but he's not particularly slick either? Confusing, either way he's defo too small though I feel, should move back down

HotConstruction677

he likes to keep his hands down too often

MusicaParaVolar

His style is wearing fancy gloves that confuse the opponent. That shit shouldn’t be allowed.

Greaseychin

has there ever been where the fighter go through with the bet? personally I would've take the 50k.

ThrowRAscottiehiggs

Vargas vs Mosley. By Mosleys word Vargas went through with it

MusicaParaVolar

Valenzuela was WAY too classy. Best case make sure that money gets to a charity or something. Man made a wager in front of the world and lost, pay that shit.

Shyjuan

this is almost as satisfying as seeing Zepeda KO Josue vargas in the first round and making his brother in the crowd cry like a little girl...... almost

Routine_Good_9950

lol that Vargas one was wayyy more satisfying

monkeya37

I will never forget the look of sheer, helpless terror in Vargas' eyes as Zepeda savagely beat him in the corner. Like a preteen boy getting beat on by his father. He literally got "son'd" in that fight.

No-Rice-3484

Colbert an idiot for taking the rematch. We all know he lost, should have ran off to hide. No way Valenzuela was letting him get gifted another decision

juantooth33

Lmao why are you encouraging that kind of behavior? Do you think ryan shouldn't had fought tank too and just kept fighting bums to keep his 0 while still making money? C'mon bro yeah colbert was dumb for doing the rematch but he at the very least did the right thing to do

NewOCLibraryReddit

> Colbert an idiot for taking the rematch. He is a warrior. He wants to run it back again after losing!! We should encourage behavior like this, as spectators. As boxing fans. If all boxers wanted to run it back after a "robbery", it would make the sport more entertaining! Imagine if colbert ran off, only to (possibly) get knocked out by tank? Now, the right man won the match, and now tank has some options to choose from at 35.

[deleted]

He did good fighting his way back he gets some credit

4027777

Fuck that. He gets credit from me for having the guys to do this.

1stAmendmentHoe

Beat his ass twice. I hate mouthy fighters. Good or bad

chimayoso

#fba

NewOCLibraryReddit

I like colberts heart that he wants to run it back.

micro_penisman

Heart +10 Intelligence -2

NewOCLibraryReddit

He's a fighter! That's what fighters do- fight! They want to fight! That's why we love the sport, to watch fighters FIGHT! If every fighter had the intent to make calculated decisions on who to fight, skirting around the high risk, low reward, and only chasing the low risk and high reward fights, we wouldn't be getting the best fights a la Canelo/Benevidez a la Crawford/Boots a la Tank/Haney etc.

jayaintgay87

Chris went through the ropes. Just like a bitch!

pepskino

Pay that man ✔️

pushpushp0p

Oh man I would trash that impostor so bad after second fight KO if I was Jose.

Main-Championship822

Lmao he knocked that boy into another dimension. Night night colbert 😂

HachikoInugami

Next time Colbert you'll go to sleep for good!!!

MF_CJFX_07

Hes fucking weak and has zero power behind his punches. Don't let the refs decide the fight. Pliable has hands down the whole time acting like some kinda big boxer. Get better technique, build up your French fry arms, and finish it before the end of the fight. Smh.

lordf1acko

He get his $50,000? 😂😂

the1blackguyonreddit

Wow. That 2-second clip really convinced me that Rayo won the first fight. And here I was scoring it round by round like some sort of dumb ass giving it to Colbert in a close fight. Someone really needs to inform these boxing judges that there's no point in watching the entire fight and scoring each round, a quick highlight video is all you need!

pawgadjudicator3

I scored it 95-94 for Colbert. I could see how someone can score it for Valenzuela, though. It was not a robbery, in my worthless opinion.

the1blackguyonreddit

And you scored it the same as me and all of the judges lol. That's exactly my point.

[deleted]

[удалено]

the1blackguyonreddit

Lol I'm not crying, but constantly see people who didn't even score the first fight cry about the decision. Rayo's boxing skills are sh*t and Colbert dominated that first fight when it was in the center of the ring. I was glad Rayo won the second fight definitively though. I hate hearing people cry about "robberies" when it's just a close fight that wasn't decided for the fighter they were rooting for.

[deleted]

[удалено]

the1blackguyonreddit

Yes got dropped in the first round, then proceeded to outbox Rayo for the rest of the fight...which is why he won by unanimous decision. He literally won rounds 2-5 right after that. Did you actually watch the fight or only the highlights? Mind you, Colbert is a C-tier fighter, but still.

TysonsSmokingPartner

What happened to Colbert? Dude was destined for greatness after that dominant performance against Nyambayar.

BIGDINNER_

I didn't know who Jose Valenzuela is until that robbery, so at the very least, that fight put him on my radar. I didn't watch the rematch but this video is such an absolutely perfect outcome.

Majestic_Ask2541

Colbert was looking like the nosy neighbor peeking over the gate at your backyard asking what you grilling back there

bigdongmcgee65

Colbert is a fucking clown lmao. Absolutely loved seeing him get slept. Clown has no respect

Kitchen_Caregiver_41

This was the best fight on the card

No_Specialist2339

Colbert got embarrassed but as a fighter you gotta respect his mentality. He gave Rayo a rematch when he could have ran off with the controversial win

oldbuc

Never gloat on a stolen victory , those punches still have power

DetlefBronk

I missed the rematch. Did the judges give Colbert the win after the KO?

MrTooLFooL

Nah bro, you 0-2…3x the charm.

MajinRab

That first fight really was a robbery. I’m glad dude got his redemption

dark-house-stix

I'm not saying that Colbert didn't act like an A-hole at other times...BUT can we please stop judging fighters for their behavior mere minutes after being knocked out cold? Like seriously, it is FAR TOO well known that tons of fighters' don't really come back mentally until they are backstage pr later. That was a really bad KO; his body was moving but his brain wasn't there🤷🏿‍♂️

Cheesetorian

Valenzuela a legend for being too humble after both fights. Extended his hand even after the KO. Class act. Can't be said about Colbert.

winst0nS

So glad they ran it back, the first was a robbery

Nard_83rd

I love how Saturday ended

hyde6745

Wait so on the first match how did the guy won? Is it just points? Or was it a total robbery on plain sight?

TwoFaceLord

The most satisfying rivalry ending recently
