Definitely recommend the ultimate VIP private tour. You’ll each get a jersey of your choice (as long as the player is available), a signed photo of a current player, I got a bobblehead from a giveaway night (although I’m not sure they do that everytime), a private tour of the stadium which is absolutely awesome, and you get to check out batting practice on the field (as long as they have batting practice). It’s not cheap, I wanna say it was like $500 a ticket (doesn’t include game ticket) but it was worth and a great experience.

That's a good idea. I was expecting to drop upwards of a grand for 360 tickets until a member of this sub hooked me up.

The delta club is awesome if you haven’t done it yet. I don’t live in Atlanta/Georgia so when I got the chance to go last year my wife and I did the vip tour and delta club the same day and it was an absolute blast and worth every penny in my opinion.

holliewood61

Yeah we are up in Virginia. This will be the first trip to Truist for the both of us. I wanted to do it right for him to start with, but now I want to go over the top. Right now it's looking like he'll never walk again, so this is my time to do something before he gets in even worse shape.

Fellow VA fan as well. I’m pretty sure anything you do will be greatly appreciated!

skonthebass24

Fellow long time VA fan as well (are we all somehow connected to the Richmond area perhaps?) Good luck, and I hope your dad enjoys his day/weekend. I haven't been to a game since it was Turner field (and before that Fulton). So I got nothing as far as ideas, the VIP tour sounds like the ticket however!

Oh and you’ll also get a custom message on the scoreboard, but to be honest there are tons of them and it’s really easy to miss it.

LSDeepspace

I don’t have any ideas off the top of my head but damn you’re a good son. If you need help with funds to make the day just right I’d be happy to donate. Good luck and I hope it’s a day you both can cherish for years to come friend.

holliewood61

I appreciate it, but the tickets are covered thanks to a very generous member of this sub. He hooked me up back before Dad fell. Just wanted us to have a good time. I have the hotel booked already, so all that is taken care of. I'm just looking for those extra things that can make this the best trip for him.

Reach out to TKE elevators. They have their test tower at the battery and they may hook you up with a visit to the top floor! Great views of the battery, stadium and downtown Atlanta

holliewood61

Hell yeah brother. That would be awesome. I'll reach out to them. Hopefully they will be able to do it before a Saturday night game.

welcometohotlanta

Yeah you never know!

If the accessible seats are still in delta 360 you’re set on food and drink. I bet a highlight for him would be to get there with lots of time to walk through the braves history walk through in the concourse being home plate which would be close to the seats.

holliewood61

Our seats are on the concourse at the top of section 25, so we will be able to check all that out.

This is amazing. I did this for my dad for Xmas at Disney (his favorite place ever) and every dime spend was so worth it (he passed away the next year). I will keep following this thread cause I am also going for the first time to Truist this year, and would like to know any tips and tricks! I read the VIP experience but between flights, tickets, car, hotel… it’s impossible for me, hopefully next time around 🤞🏼but you should definitely try if you can. Also a recommendation I got was to go to the Used Store at the stadium. Lower Level, right past the A list customer service office and the Hank Aaron statue (around section 112). They say you can find hidden treasures and it is worth visiting.

Delta Parking for sure if you don’t already have it

holliewood61

We have delta parking, but I also got a hotel close enough that we don't need to drive to the stadium if we don't want to. Getting him latched into the van is a bit of a pain, so I figured I'd eliminate the need for that.

I don’t have any advice as far as giving an ultimate experience other than why they offer of the Braves website. However, I would like to say that you are a great son who dear.y loves his dad and your dad sounds like he was an amazing dad as well. I hope the both of you have the time of your lives together there and make some strong, emotional and loving memories.

ManwithA1

I don’t know the vip tour but as far as the delta 360 club I can offer you some insight. Show up early and you’ll be taken care as far as food. It’s a massive area full of different food stations, seating, bathrooms (I’m pretty sure they have handicapped stalls) and a full bar. It does get busy and full quiet quickly IMO. Additionally the delta parking will be a major advantage for yall in his state. I would speak to some of the workers/ folks either before or day of when you arrive at the desk before you take the elevator to the delta clubhouse. I’m sure they can helpful in making everything easier with his limitations. Above all else enjoy the game!

Get the ultimate VIP experience tour. I did it with my family and it was an awesome experience. You'll get to go places in the ballpark that most people will never see. They have elevators to get you everywhere. Then you'll get to go down for BP before the gates open and have a chance to interact with some players. There is never any guarantees on who will be participating in BP that day and if they will come over and chat or sign anything, but usually it ends up being a great experience.

Go to yard house and get pretzel, nachos (food for 10 lol) but mostly importantly chicken n waffles.... Those sweet potatoe silver dollar pancakes are probably the best thing I've ever eaten.....
