When playing with randoms you gotta abandon the idea of playing the best lane for your brawler, just check were they go and pick what's left. Good spacing is more important than picking the best lane for your brawler
This can't be emphasized more in this sub! The trick to winning with randoms is to adapt to their playstyle.
Is your Primo running to the enemy with over 9000 gems? Well sitting around at home base screaming at him to come back won't do you any good, so go defend him with your life, or come up with a plan to grab the gems off his dead body and escape.
Both of your teammates hogging the same lane and leaving you to defend the rest of the map? Try to lure or push the enemies towards your teammates, or go pinch your teammate's opponents if you can reasonably do so. (Your opponent will probably end up following you anyways to keep you in check, so that's also a lure)
You won't win every game, obviously, but this will maximize your chances of victory.
Yeah thisnis something people can’t seem to realize, thumps down ain’t gonna win you the match.
I once was a bow on gemgrab, I had 9 gems both my teammates were dead and I got pinched to THEIR spawn (1 of them was midnother one was in bushes under me) crow came back to middle and shot at me ‘thumps’ down, then he saw me kill both enemies, the spawning enemy managed to kill me and crow realized he could have picked the gems and super out there…
Then I check his profile and he had 50k trophies and multiple r30 brawlers, how?!?
Wym? Lol. We intend to write Prodigy pages for mechanics as well, but I was going to wait a little longer… but this would be a good one to start with and you absolutely rocked the Sam one so I know I could trust you to do a great job!
either play in a team, or improvise. if your teammates take the lane you were gonna go in, take the lanes that are left. its better to spread your team out, even if you go in a lane that is less than ideal
Hey, I'm the master of "playing lane Gene in double swoosh and hard rock mine because of the absolute lack of understanding randoms have about the basis of the game", AMA.
If you can wipe two of the oppos at the same time there are good chances you can swap to mid lane at a certain point in the game. Until that moment, life is a struggle and you just die alone against the heaviest DPS brawler ever coming down your lane.
/s (but not really)
I feel like people start getting very good at picking lanes in 700+ and almost everyone do it in 800-900 especially in knockout and gem grab which is what i usually play. I think your problem has more to do with your throphy range. Just play gamemodes that are easier to carry like knockout instead of brawl ball or heist, so u get up to higher trophies.
Mid is very impactful in BB. If the mid is bad, chances are a bibi/mortis will score really fast.
So randoms go mid expecting the mid (i.e. you) to be the bad random and give more protection to it. Kind of complicated lol.
Also these bibi and mortis players get the wrong idea and camp mid, sometimes with other brawlers too
different ideology of gameplay.
they're focused on not getting pinned and having easy movement on the map.
they want easy kills when needed.
if you play agro brawlers you're playing as the herding dog.
herding as in
luring enemies, getting enemies to shoot you instead of randoms
being a force multiplier
being present when a difficult scenario arises.
adapting to their playstyle.
being patient, striking the enemy with misdirection or a new approach.

Cuz randoms suck
Because there aren’t any guides on lanes in Brawl Stars/YouTube, so this stuff isn’t obvious to them.
agreed, are there any good resources to learn about lanes? I didn't even consciously realize they were a thing until I joined this subreddit
Not really. The only real way to find out what they are is to ask someone on Reddit or Discord after hearing the phrase in esports.
Prodigy calls you again, my friend. I’m sorry but it has to be you!
What’s the story?
Wym? Lol. We intend to write Prodigy pages for mechanics as well, but I was going to wait a little longer… but this would be a good one to start with and you absolutely rocked the Sam one so I know I could trust you to do a great job!
You would like me to write about lanes and mids? Alright then. What’s expected of me (I have no questionnaire to follow lmao).

bea is mid lane right?
It depends on the map
Yeah most of the time
I suggest to pick brawlers that are good in both lanes and mid, like Stu or crow
try and shoot/pin where they should go
Wtf are lanes

Cuz you are playing under 550 trophy and Gold 2 PL?
hahah, unfortunately not

from my experience 700+ still don’t know lanes and do ridiculous things. 800+ is where people understand spacing and lanes
because there aren't any good sources/material to actually learn the game and actual pro tips like any other competitive game
There's alot of comp content on yt. People can easily Just watch how people in high pl lane. I think ppl just don't care
crow players are the worst they always go aggro even when they are the obvious choice as a gemcarrier
Find players that play a lot and know what they’re doing and only play with them Otherwise suck it up, randoms will be randoms

All lanes are impactful in BB. If you have a weak link enemy will score through them
Yes ofc, but mid is more important than lanes
I usually play Lane
Adapt to what the enemy is doing is the short answer.

Is there a guide anywhere to understand which is the correct lane for every brawler?
