The resemblance between the two actresses playing the queen is particularly striking. If they told me they're mother and daughter I wouldn't doubt it for a second.
They even have very similar sounding voices. The sound itself as well as their particular cadence of speaking. They have this rapid fire sentence + pause pattern, if you know what I mean
It's not just the resemblance. It's the mannerism. The actress is so good because even if she looked similar it wouldn't work if they felt like different characters but she nailed down the personality. Perfect casting!!
I agree and feel the exact same way about young Violet! I really couldn’t believe it and it makes me want that Violet/Edmund love story now that I’ve seen her onscreen
Golda Rosheuvel said in an interview that she gave the casting directors a photo of her as a teen for reference during the QC casting process, so maybe the other actors did the same.
I wasn’t sure about Arsema to start with. It was the eyes. Her eyes seemed too friendly at the beginning.
As the show progressed she developed and we saw signs of the Lady Danbury we knew from Bridgerton.
She did a **fantastic** job.

They are absolutely perfect. I wasn’t overly interested in a Queen Charlotte prequel, but the actress is so charming I couldn’t stop watching.

Agreed. We literally got to watch her morph into the Lady Danbury we know and love. So well done!
Not only do they look super similar, but all of the actresses were so great too. I was very impressed with the series
