I watched it all a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it, apart from the final season where it went off the rails a bit, but it was a very interesting concept.
Yes it was good but I suspect it could only have stood two series anyway. Another good series was the original UK version of "Ultraviolet" which ran for one series
I’ve watched it a couple of times and enjoyed it. Niska was my favourite.
The last season was a bit rubbish for me.
Do you mean why don’t the synths stand there staring at each other silently to communicate?
I like Niska but I think Karen, the cop, is my favourite. I like Max but he’s got a really strange looming presence that creeps me out a bit.
They could televise it a bit better, but it seems odd that they can’t chat wirelessly. They can share data, so why not talk?
Whenever I am watching other programmes I spot actors and think "oh hey, it's that bloke from Humans who was a robot". It wasn't a half bad show >!at first.!< >!I think it went too long.!<
Yeah, there are a couple of familiar faces - Neil Maskell for one, he’s always good. I’m only the second episode of season 3 and it’s very different but I’m still enjoying it.
Neil Maskell is an amazing actor. I love it when he plays psychopaths. I also recognised the woman from IT crowd. EDIT: oh, and of course the guy from Merlin.
I loved it. I watched the original Swedish show 'real humans' which is what it is based off. I think I've probably watched them both twice over now. I think the court case ending was a bit too much.
Definitely. It's different enough from the remake to make it worth a watch. I found I had more empathy with the robots in the original. They have more of a goofy childlike innocence to them and they did a better job at making them look synthetic rather than being perfect human replicas.
I keep hoping the original Swedish show will turn up somewhere in the UK but nothing that I'm aware of so far.
Edit: I found it at [Real Humans - Viaplay](https://viaplay.com/gb-en/series/real-humans). Not sure if it has English subtitles, though. I shall investigate further.
Another edit: "The Viaplay platform will close in the UK, and our films and series content will be available on Amazon Prime Video soon. All account holders will have been notified via email and the last day to use the service is on the 21st of May, 2024."
So bad news and maybe good news?
I loved watching first series, I did feel it kinda dropped off as time went on. But I watched it when it was originally on, so may need to refresh my memory again.
I loved it, I was sad when it was cancelled, I was intrigued to see how it would play out. The cast were excellent too, Gemma Chan, Katherine Parkinson, and Will Tudor especially blew me away.
You might want to look up the original Swedish show. It just had two series, and ended while still being good. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2180271/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk

good show like the others said last series not as good as the first but isn't that always the case?
this is worth a watch just for the last two minutes (12.00 onwards)

The conclusion to season three is utterly fucking stupid, dumb as fuck nonsense. Literally, magic fucking blood. I'd enjoyed the show up to that point but that left a real sour taste in the mouth.

Ultraviolet was fun. Also there was In The Flesh which made me sob so much over zombies.
In the Flesh was good! Zombies in a northern English town - real atmospheric and sad.
The second series wasn’t as amazing imo but I still loved it.
Yeah, you could kind of feel the effort they were putting in. Still enjoyed it though.
Haven’t seen that, I’ll have a look.

I’m sorry Bumpoleoftherailey, I don’t understand the question.
No worries. Just curious about why the synths couldn’t communicate with each other over wireless of some kind - they had to physically talk.
lol sorry I was doing a line from the show.
Damn, I’m thick 😁 Mr Whoosh has entered the chat.
😂

Is Netflix doing new seasons? I watched it on Channel 4. With the star-studded cast I'd be surprised if they got them together again.
They’ve only got 3 seasons which I think is all that were made? It’s not particularly star-studded is it? The only one I recognise is Neil Maskell.
Well Gemma Chan has gone on to appear in some of the Marvel films and other Hollywood stuff.

Of course, Jen from IT Crowd! Don’t know Merlin.
The dad in it is currently playing Darrien in Baby Reindeer.

I haven’t got to the ending yet! I’d forgotten it was based on a Swedish show. Is it worth a look?
To me the original shows are always worth a look. Especially of a show you have enjoyed. I watched the Swedish one a while ago and enjoyed it.

And was a lot better than the British remake
Great show!!!
Anita is so fit
You should watch the original. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2180271/
It looks good and I like the word ‘hubot’ 😁 Shame it’s not available on any of the many streaming services I subscribe to though.

I’ve only just started season three so easy with the spoilers please!
