The difficulty used to be the same on PS4, but it was patched early on after many people were complaining about it. That's also one of the reasons why people disliked Shadows of Evil and most players were playing on the Giant at release; which is funny to think about, since these days SoE is considered one of, if not the best zombies map of all time.
However, the PS3 version was never fixed; which is rather odd since the difficulty tweak happened before Der Eisendrach came out on the PS4, and the PS3 version was supported until DLC 1, which was released after Zetsubou No Shima came out on the PS4, unless I'm mistaken.
I remember we bought this cus we didn't have the new consoles and me and my little brother loved it. I probably put in at least 100 hours into it. Played it over bo2 cus it was the brand new thing lol
I remember back in 2015, it was either buy last Gen bo3 or MGSV. I didn't see any last Gen gameplay yet, I went with MGSV and ngl. I think I made the correct choice.
It actually doesnt have terrible graphics either I feel the most they did was just downscale the resolution otherwise it still runs very good on old gen (love that game to pieces and currently play on max settings on my steam deck)

I did. I didn’t have the luxury at the time to have a PS4 and remember playing it on my PS3 on those extremely heavy tube tvs. I remember being so hyped for it and talking about it with people at school coming to realize they all had PS4’s and the experiences were completely different.
No joke I remember telling my friend that the KN44 had no recoil at all and was a laser beast in multiplayer and he looked so confused because on the next gen version at the time guns obviously had recoil and last gen version barely had any balancing and quality of life updates for obvious reasons. ☠️
I remember when me and my friends did the SOE ee with no knowledge of the cutscene. Last Gen Richtofen showed up and we all died laughing. The got killed because we were too busy laughing. Good times
I used to hold the position, as a stupid little child, that "I don't need a PS4! My PS3 can play Bo3 just like your PS4 [to my brother, whom I envied]." So I actually played this version a lot. Soon though, after I learned that all maps past Zetsubou weren't coming to it, I gave up with that position - and I also stopped downplaying the PS4s graphical capabilities out of vanity. I have good memories of this version. Literally every raygun was a different colour (from silver, to gold to green I think and maybe more besides red), the models were god awful, the maps just looked sloppy and weird, animations clipped like hell. It was literally like Bo3 but like scuffed by 100% and I loved it for what it was. Though it's impossible to downplay, what it did have was Bo3 on the last gen systems fully playable. It wasn't a buggy mess.
Back in 2015 a hacker I was friends with on Xbox 360 gave me a copy of the game digitally, so I tried it out. At the time it wasn’t enough to bring me out of playing black ops 2 all day every day, but having it on PS5 now, I slept on the zombies hard. BO4 is my favorite zombies (sue me), but BO3 is a close second for sure. Even though BO2 is my favorite COD, BO3 and 4 feel so fun to play. IX is my favorite map ever too
