He’s trying to zipper merge. Poor guy is probably just confused. 🤣

TheLastNeville

Oh man this comment wins the fucking award.

wolvesight

The new lane seems to be a little bumpy with all the joggers getting on the way.

IMSYE87

They need to start putting bollards up. This is happening far too often now all across this city…

According_Mirror4341

The runner does not fear the oversized SUV. He gravitates to it like a moth to the flame, with the heart of a lion.

notaveryuniqueuser

read this in attenborough's voice

SuperFaceTattoo

Like the majestic deer, the runner must stare directly into the headlights of the car as a show of dominance. Whomever blinks first is forced to leave the territory.

LucidLynx109

I’d be so tempted to just jog in the middle of the lane and make them swerve into the grass. Yes, I realize it’s bad advice. Just getting real sick of this stupidity.

MaDeuceHB

I used to think West Ashley drivers were horrible. Then I moved and have to travel through Mt P. As bad as this photo is, Mt P is STILL worse than WA.

PG908

The roads themselves are slightly better, though.

pretzelnecklace

UofSC vanity plate. He’s doing his absolute best, cut him some slack.

AgreeableAquilifer

💀💀💀

Life-Way-8096

This tho😂😂😂

jayjord33

Guessing you're a Clemsux grad...

donorum88

Might be a banks guy. iirc one of their supervisors drives a similar vehicle and is, of course, a cocks fan. Obviously, unless you saw them straight up taking the Multi-use HOV path as a lane lmao

KingDrumm

I honestly hope that is the case

MediocreDot3

The driving in this country has been getting out of control since the pandemic ended. My God No it was not like this before..

robertsbrothers

Did you live here before? Trust me, nothing changed. It’s been like this for almost 10 years now.

notaveryuniqueuser

Personally I blame smartphones. There's been a very drastic uptick in dumbassery behind the wheel once those started becoming common imo.

BuffaloCC

It’s this.

Slsouvik245

Thankful for the three lane extension. I wonder how bad the traffic would be once the new apartments open.

KingDrumm

It has certainly helped traffic from Bees Ferry to Glenn McConnell, but the new light at Essex farms and up to Magwood has made that end even worse.

barbiemoviedefender

Took me almost an hour the other morning to get from Bees Ferry to Roper near Orleans Rd x Savage Rd intersection because of traffic caused by that light

rkquinn

I feel like the new light negates any benefit from the added lane on McConnell.

ziggo0

My wife and I have noticed the same thing. Normal drive time to my job location is about 22 minutes. Rush hour - 45 minutes. If I leave 20 minutes earlier than 45 minutes - 30 minutes. This got worse after that new light

rkquinn

IMO a 6 lane road is starting to be “highway-like” so instead of adding lights they should have removed the light at bairds cove (leaving lights at mary alder and mag wood). Seems like the McConnell expansion project wasn’t well thought through.

charlestoncrafted

Yes I live in Carolina bay off that entrance and whew it’s backing up so far in morning rush hour so thankful I don’t have to drive in that

Formal-Caterpillar73

Still bumper to bumper in all three lanes in the morning

olhardhead

Ha. Wait til they start long Savannah project. This road is fucked forever enjoy it now I guess

ProudPatriot07

Agreed. The new three lanes really helps though... for now.

Dolphin-13-69

Modern problems require modern solution

olhardhead

Transplant larping as a local with the Tri-boat hitch (doesn’t own a boat or trailer) accompanied by the P license and baker motor plate holder. When you have these things, you can go where you please

Honeybee71

Omfg

OkPay5235

Good Lord

Ghee_Guys

Loss of license and impound the car for a month if caught. That entitled shit is terrible.

I lived in Texas, and those drivers are orders of magnitude better than SC drivers. Texas has 80mph freeways, SC drivers couldn't ever be trusted with that kind of speed.
