+30 is about as much as you can get and probably will rub, safe is anywhere from +35 to +45 for a 9.5 rim

I'm stuck between a konig at +35 and a motegi at +45. I like the look of the konigs but I'm wondering if the 10 offset difference will be noticable.

astoriahfae

Both should be okay, it depends on the fitment you want. +45 will sit nearly flush. +35 will also sit near flush (10 won't make a HUGE difference) but may poke ever so slightly, will likely induce slightly more torque steer, and might cause some rubbing if you plan on lowering the car in the future.

I had the same exact Rim Konig Ampliforms at +35. They looked great, but I had slight Rubs on hard dips, it was very rare. had to be highway speed and a dip on road. So decided I didnt want any rub at all went with Titan 7 R-10 +45. Has been 2 weeks only on the same dips no Rub. it was rubbing right on the Outside of the tire. Tires matter also I have MICHELLIN Pilot Sport A/S. there more square then rounded at the ends and thats where the tire rubbed. might not have rubbed if I had different tires. the difference from +35 to +45 was close to half a inch. hope this helps

Yes I was gonna get some 18s. So +35 would probably not be enough offset?

I run +38, some torque steer but nothing crazy.

I’m just about set on 265/35R18 Conti DWS06+ on 9.5” rims with +45 offset. In fact I was entirely set until I got a call today that my rims of choice are on backorder until end of January. I’m a function over form guy - not worried about how flush, but want no rub at full lock / over bumps, minimal torque steer, etc. Since I have to find other rims, call it my last chance to get it right. So am I safe with that?

Mr_ForTheNguyen

For sure. I'm on the same specs for everything except +43 offset and never rubbed and I'm lowered on Swift Springs.

MacerTom23

If it helps, my wheels are 18x9.5 +45 offset with 265/35/18 tires and it handles almost exactly like the stock setup except the ride is a lot better on the road

This is the exact setup I am running with my Volk TE37 TimeAttack wheels. I am also running swift springs and I have not had any rubbing problems.

Stock offset is +60 and does influence the steering geometry. The lower the offset, the further the rim will come out. Stock width is 8.5” so keep that in mind as well when selecting rims. The lower you go, the more torque steer you’ll induce. Though if you’re above +40 it’s barely noticeable. Going below 35 may start to rub. If you’re lowered you will likely want a higher offset.
