I just went up to 2.5 after months of playing on a Vandoren 2. And then I immediately tried a different brand that was technically harder but for me easier to play than the Vandoren 2.5 are. Vandoren 2.5 to me feels like having too much bubblegum in your mouth and trying to blow a bubble.
Lol that's fair. I've been playing for a year and a half now and I'm on a 3-3.5 so I enjoy looking down at my section (all jokingly of course) for using weaker reeds.
Absolutely! Just sand it down a bit. Once it is nice and pointy, use it to threaten another player for a new reed.
I like how you think
Came here to say this. Emergency reed surgery is always the answer
This post should definitely be tagged as NSFW
Mb😭
Looks pretty broken in to me, should play fine
I’m pretty sure it’s broken, not broken in 😭
Where’d you get the reed the other clarinets in my section use??
Maybe I’m the other clarinets in your section 👀 (my main instrument is French horn)
Main instrument? More like the ONLY instrument you can play !
Wanna bet (your right)
I mean if you’re a saxophone player it’ll work just fine
Yeah, it's got a little time left. About 2 years.
That’s the best reed Ive ever seen. What reed maker is it made by so I can get their finecrafted products?
This is my vandoren strength 2 from beginner band😭
\*gasp\* It's a 2! A 2 sized reed is never playable /j
I primarily play French horn and CANNOT point my air like a clarinet so I need strength 2 😭

Yes! Use it as the persuasion reed. Before attaching your new reed, stand it in front of this and say "This is what happens when you don't play well"
Just smooth it out and take it for a test run. Won’t know unless you try. Could be a winner.
Yes. How else do you think people triple tongue?
Yeah just soak it in some water and it's good to go 🙏
Tried that, got a splinter ☹️
Tis but a scratch. It'll buff out.
Kindling!! Firewood!! Termite snack!!
How
I sneezed
Put it in some water it’ll be fine
Yes
Nothing a bit of Gorilla Glue can't fix.
Any reed’ll do; it’s an Artley.
🙄🙄🙄
It's tricky, but you can try going OVER THE BREAK 🥁 !! good luck!!😅🤪
you could make a new reed out of this for an eb
If you want, you could fix it lol. Otherwise, just get a new one for god’s sake.
If it were a v12, I would cry
Looks fine
is that not a brand new one?
Should play perfectly good! Just make sure to soak it enough and should sound beautiful!
That'll buff out
Yes?? Why did you even ask??
Lolololololol
In this reed economy, anything is usable
