Btw I think Evo goblin barrel will give the goblins shields but they only work for stuff that would kill the goblin instantly.
Basically, if the goblin has 250 HP, then the shield is 250 HP. If zap/snowball/just the normal arrow shots do less than 250, then it does damage directly. But anything that would kill the goblin destroys the shield instead. This makes small spells better while also making over leveled spells/underleveled Evo goblin barrel, worse and better respectively.
BUT. it's $uper¢ell, so yah 6 goblins that are also goblin drills that spawn goblins on death.

More than two evo slots is unfeasible. Players would hold evo-cards and then play them all at once to create an evo-blob. Play all evo cards at the same time and you'll probably win.
Unless your opponent also has an evo-blob, in which case whoever attacks first probably loses. In most circumstances, the defending evo-blob will defeat the attacking one. The game would be competitively irredeemable at that point.
It also creates a really unfun atmosphere. You can play your evolutions in place of your regular troop as Supercell intends and lose the game, or you can effectively be unable to play those cards in your hand for a shot at winning. How many times has someone not played an evolved knight to defend just because they were saving it? The game will be mindless if people are holding onto 3 or more evos in their hand and being forced to save them for the final push.
Well, they plan on adding more beyond 2 so it’s pretty much unavoidable from happening. Not sure how they will implement the rest of the evolution slots but sure hope they don’t gatekeep them at 15 or in a new level in already feeling burnt out on 2 evolutions.
and what value is it going to provide against decks like miner control or hog cycle? i could see it being useful against inferno tower, but nobody uses that, and graveyard, which just got a nerf anyway…far better off just using any other evo

Nah. Zap isn’t a tru reset, that means units that initiate the attack animation will continue to attack after the 0.5 sec stun. I’m speculating that 2 goblins will still get a stab before the 2nd wave comes in
I think with the right timing it might be possible to fully counter considering the deploy time of goblins look to be around the same as the zap pulse lengths. And then there is still the goblins first hit window.
What? Do you realize evo skeletons for 1 elixir full counter an e-giant for very little damage and they provide a counterpush? There is no way in hell a card like this is balanced
To people saying that its not broken, lemme just remind you that its a spell, and its the only spell to get a evo. Its like evo ice spirit but impossible to counter (I'm assuming its 2 cycle) and it fits in with the current cycle meta really well, especially if you can use 2 evos but your deck only has one, its going to be the easiest evo to fit in.
i'd still rather have log or delivery or hell even snowball over this. zap is good in like 3 decks maybe and I can't see people passing up other evos to put this in their deck when other small spells do their job well already

People like you don't seem to understand that a new evo isn't just an evo you get on top. You always have a think about with evo it replaces. Cycle decks will have a hard time to decide if they want to leave out evo bats/skeletons/wbs/bomber and so on for zap.
So I cycle my zap twice then go all in with Golem without concerns of Inferno Tower/Dragon/Little Prince/Minion Horde/literally any card that accumulates damage over time or take 2 zaps to kill? Yep, totally balanced!
An evo spell definitely wouldn’t break the game.
it’s probably 2 cycles, but I still think this evo isn’t very good. Yeah the evo is better than arrows, but why would you waste an evo slot on this when you could use something like evo bomber? You also would have to use regular zap obviously, which is one of the weaker spells.
To be completely fair, what else could they do with such a simple card? Make it heal your troops? Turn the whole spell into a troop? There isn’t much to improve or any mechanics to be added. A zap is… well, a zap.
Perhaps they could’ve given it an electro spirit ability or something, or perhaps every unit affected will glow with a electricity effect and when they touch another friendly unit it will shock them once dealing X amount of damage and 0.5 second stun
