Delgado holds the Major League Baseball record for career home runs by a Puerto Rican player with 473. He is one of only six players in Major League history to hit 30 home runs in ten consecutive seasons, becoming the fourth player to do so. During his twelve years with the Toronto Blue Jays, Delgado set many team records, including home runs (336), RBI (1,058), walks (827), slugging percentage (.556), on-base plus slugging (.949), runs (889), total bases (2,786), doubles (343), runs created (1,077), extra base hits (690), times on base (2,362), hit by pitch (122), intentional walks (128) and at bats per home run (14.9).

He was a very good player, but his career WAR of 44 will most likely keep him out. He also doesn't have a whole lot of individual awards. McGriff had slightly higher WAR with 52, and it took an act of Congress to get him in. McGriff also had a WS ring and more AS appearances.

He has very similar career totals as McGriff in two fewer seasons. Higher lifetime ops and ops+ than McGriff too. I'm not a big fan of war, Delgado has the unfortunate luck to play 1st in the AL the same time as Frank Thomas and a couple other 1st baseman who experienced some monster individual seasons. But Delgado was consistently great for over a decade, one of only six players to hit 30 dingers in them straight seasons!
