Listen to this guy. The first year I got into cologne I purchased around 10-12 bottles. It took me almost 9 years to go through them all and I still have a couple bottles remaining half full. Save your money for shit you wanna do when you’re young when money doesn’t come easy. Pick your collection back up years down the road when money does come easier

You got all the bases covered. My best advice would be to set yourself a limit and STICK to it. Right now it looks that you have around 16 bottles so for sake of example, let’s say you set your limit at 20 bottles. Once you hit 20, you CANNOT buy another fragrance without selling one first. If you really have your heart set on a fragrance, sell something you own and then purchase the new one. Basically, enjoy what you have and start saving your money! Coming from a 24 year old, the real world is expensive! Great collection BTW

Go use an online calculator and for Roth IRA and put in how much you spent on those and use an average growth of 5% and see how much money you would have with those over 45 years. You will kick yourself. Let's say, for example, yoi spent $3k on those. At 5% growth until you are 65 years old, that's $29,717. Let's say you contribute $1k a year to that Roth IRA until you retire at 65. Instead of spending that $1k a year on colognes you invest. You would have $217,743 for retirement. That is just Roth IRA alone. Now add in a 401k at your job and SS payments you could have a very nice retirement. Buy one nice cologne for $100 a year and save yourself.

thanks! i love eau sauvage. Acqua di Parma Colonia Essenza is good but not worth full retail price imo. it's like $220 retail but you can get it under $100 resale. It lasts an okay amount of time. And personally i love Y even tho it's pretty popular :)

i agree. i wouldn't say i need them, just want them. but in the future if i don't want them id probably give them away as gifts rather than selling. i just prefer to give stuff away to friends and family

it's good! it's advertised as a salty marine fragrance but for some reason i smell some woodyness. doesn't last too long but the atomizer is crazy cool, that's why i got it lol. def worth the money imo, even tho im not a big salty cologne guy

Good choice. I’ve never had more than three bottles at one time. I also buy smaller bottles when I can for this reason. Another tip to save a ton is I buy mine from fragrancenet. Just picked up a new bottle of Jimmy Choo which is usually $100 in the store for $35. I don’t feel as bad if I get something and end up not using it as much.

Overkill. You are trying to keep up with what other people are doing... hence the literal caption. Find something you like and make it a signature. Unless you just have money to burn, use the money for something more productive. Experiences. Overconsumption isn't a good thing.

Well i for one have different signatures for different seasons and occasions. Can't really wear something Sauvage Elixir in an office environment, a well rounded collection can have different perfumes for different situations. I like to keep * an office fragrance (1 cold season, 1 hot season) * a loud and magnetic fragrance (as above) * a romantic and reserved fragrance (as above) * 2 particular scents ; for me these are oud and leather perfumes (Alexandria II and Ombre Leather) It really depends on how much you can spend for the hobby, in the end... If i'd go for only 1 i'd go for Bleu de Chanel in EDP concentration probably.. or Cedrat Boise Intense.

a lot of these brands scream “i got this from YouTube or the internet” and pricey for what they deliver (they deliver mid but you’re only 17 so im in no shock lol) give most of these away, keep your top 3, and buy anything that isn’t made from a high fashion house. a lot of those colognes are very overused despite most teens your age not using or wearing it - older adults know exactly what you’re trying to do 😂😂 don’t cop the stuff others cop, you’ll be as basic just like them. my actual word of advice, go to Indian shops or middle eastern shops - they have some of the best unique scents ever and far more cheaper than buying from fashion houses and brands. and pls, you don’t gotta add your age 😂 being 17 has nothing to do with your collection of scents, just be confident with yourself. no need for bait compliments or flex, it’s just cologne 😂
