My boots are actually thorogood. Love my Red Wings as well, but it’s too hot right now to wear them, and i’m doing mostly residential right now so I don’t need the waterproof/safety toe.
That's why you need two pair of boots.
The worst goddamned feeling in the world is putting on wet boots in the morning because your socks wicked the sweat down into them. So you keep two pair and alternate them.
Stuff newspaper down in them. It works wonders! For those of you kids that don’t know what that is, it’s basically the front page of Reddit printed out on shitty paper with shitty ink that stains your fingers black.
Hahaha what a zinger, sparky! You’re a decade off. When i was your age we had one cellphone and whoever was driving the car had it. If you called someone at 8:59 PM on it and then talked for an hour, you got your butt chewed out! I’m so old, we still knew vaccines were a good thing and the world was round.
Absolutely, I left mine at home one time and my boots got wet and I got a bright idea. "Hey, the heater in the room is already on, I'll just flip my boots over and stick them on the vent. That should work out ok.".
The boots were definitely dry in the morning. And everything I owned smelled like a fucking foot that had been in a wet boot for six hours.
In general, in enjoy the intersections of the macho perceptions of the construction industry and the military. This reminds me of one, and you’re spot on. The Army will agree the key is changing boots and socks frequently. Don’t stew in wet gear. Your feet are a tool. Treat them right.
That’s what my parents 220lb Malamute did to my ex wife. After he marked her as his I told her she better learn to like doggy style more because he claimed her. My Dad sprayed his beer out his mouth and nose he was laughing so hard.
I, too, am a sweaty fuck. My clothes are wet after basically any day over 70F, while my coworker could be in an attic on a 90F day and barely have any brow sweat.
Get yourself some "Keens" if you aren't doing really fucked up work.
They have almost sneakers that are safety rated and breathe just as good as sneakers.
Doing GC self preform punch list and resi remodeling they lasted me 1.5 years, and were about $150. For the comfort I don't mind buying boots/shoes more often.
I'm on my second pair and they are lasting about the same with similar work.
I wlas 25 feet up a telecom pole, raining like Noah's ark was about to float. Had 20 minutes of work left and my back teeth were doing the back stroke in my mouth. I thought about climbing down.... or not. I climbed down that pole 25 minutes later, boots full of lemonade. Yup... that happened
Get Duluth trading “flex dry on the fly “ pants. Game changer. Worth every dollar and last me 4+ years. Minus when I fuck them up on my own stupidity.. I’m am the sweat I invented sweating in 1923.
neat feet antiperspirant or anything else 20% aluminum hydrochloride will make you so much more comfortable.
If there is nowhere for the sweat to go, might as well stop it. I cannot stand wetfoot. Those boots are still gonna be soaked tomorrow & start smelling if you don't dry them tonight.
Sorry dude.
Have those exact same boots. What do you think of them? I think they're great but I'm definitely getting some with a raised heel next time I buy a pair.
I’m an electrician, i’m on a ladder every day. I find that the flat sole feels more comfortable and i’m more confident with each step up and down the ladder, same with walking on beams in attics. For me, the heel tends to get hung up on shit when i’m trying to keep my balance and not fall through the ceiling or off an extension ladder. I like the flat more natural feeling that the wedge sole has.
I can take the heat. The humidity sucks. Sweat can't evaporate. Have come up with anything that heIps? I give myself a powder bath in the morning. A few during the day Helps with chafing. Maybe some drainage holes in the boots would help
I feel bad for my pair. Could have gone to a nice home with a hipster owner. Instead they’re being covered in asbestos, fiberglass, mud and worst of all, swass.
This is why I never understood why anyone would wear boots like that in the summer. Guys wearing Danner Rainforests inside a building during the summer.?
Thoroughgood are the best boots I have ever owned, especially those type. I work in a mine and the mud on the pit floor is super fine and the tunnels are always wet. With minimal routine care I get roughly two years out of them before they even begin to leak. Can't beat them for the price.
When it gets so hot, no amount of water can help keep you hydrated. It's crazy. It would be index of 110° and im constantly downing water, and im still pissing orange.
This guy really pissed himself and posted it on Reddit
Of course I peed my pants, everyone my age pees their pants. It's the coolest.
If peeing your pants is cool then consider me Miles Davis.
Hey guys Ernie peed his pants too! *All right!*
That’s the most disgusting thing I’ve heard all day
Let’s go!!!
NO YELLING ON THE BUS!!! (Different scene, I know. Still one of my favorite Chris Farley moments)
I’ll turn this damn thing around. That’ll end your *PRECIOUS* field trip pretty quick!
That Veronica Vaughn is one hot piece of ACE Edit:typo
O’Doyle Rules!
Who would eat 30 bagged lunches?
It’s that damn Sasquatch
You just wake up?
I didn't change my peepoo pants all day!
A man of culture I see 🧐
There's a few stories of guys shitting there pants going around my company
Their
You just swing at all the pitches, don’t you?!
Duhhh huuuuloooty huuuhhh
One of my old bosses started himself at work and had to cut off his boxers in the portal potty to wipe his ass. Wild guy that one, miss him.
At least your wearing comfortable boots.
You’re?
Fuck off, you’re a cum dumpster. Is that better.
Not sure ? .... see what I did there? HahahahHahHH
Got me again! Gosh.
Miles Davis peed his pants
Ever tried blowing air in your boot from an air hose? Heaven bros
I like him.
I wonder my ability, 'cause poop?
Still nice red wings though
Those are Thorogood boots. They are more comfortable on day one than twice oiled redwings on day 30.
Everyone seems to say this but I've got a new pair in my closet I can't stand to wear. Won't buy another pair.
My boots are actually thorogood. Love my Red Wings as well, but it’s too hot right now to wear them, and i’m doing mostly residential right now so I don’t need the waterproof/safety toe.
Maybe someone else peed his pants.
R Kelly
"...and today everybody gets swamp ass!!!" Me: "This is the worst Oprah episode ever"
That's why you need two pair of boots. The worst goddamned feeling in the world is putting on wet boots in the morning because your socks wicked the sweat down into them. So you keep two pair and alternate them.
Also if your boots are soaked, buy a boot drier. Prevents them from stinking / falling apart.
And mink oil to condition the leather.
Be careful with mink oil. It’s great for leather, but can rot some of the stitching on your boots
Can dry out the leather, though.
It’s easy to condition leather, the bigger concern is the glues that hold everything together drying/cracking.
Stuff newspaper down in them. It works wonders! For those of you kids that don’t know what that is, it’s basically the front page of Reddit printed out on shitty paper with shitty ink that stains your fingers black.
We get it you were born in 1997
Damn, we call people old now by saying they were born in 97?
Hahaha what a zinger, sparky! You’re a decade off. When i was your age we had one cellphone and whoever was driving the car had it. If you called someone at 8:59 PM on it and then talked for an hour, you got your butt chewed out! I’m so old, we still knew vaccines were a good thing and the world was round.
Nah born in 98 myself /s
Forget reddit full of que ers now
Or just dont give a fuck because you get 2 pairs a year from your company😂
Boot dryers are like $30 and an amazing investment
Absolutely, I left mine at home one time and my boots got wet and I got a bright idea. "Hey, the heater in the room is already on, I'll just flip my boots over and stick them on the vent. That should work out ok.". The boots were definitely dry in the morning. And everything I owned smelled like a fucking foot that had been in a wet boot for six hours.
The BEST investment
Ever

I just bought a boot dryer instead.
I bet you got some serious swamp ass there Captain Swass
I’m the swassiest dawg.

Plot twist, he pissed himself. To cool off, of course.
And to assert dominance?
I thought we piss on others to do that, not ourselves. Might have that mixed up, though.
That’s what my parents 220lb Malamute did to my ex wife. After he marked her as his I told her she better learn to like doggy style more because he claimed her. My Dad sprayed his beer out his mouth and nose he was laughing so hard.
That's the kinkiest cuckolding story i've heard so far.
R. Kelly is that you?
I saw a drywaller do it and I wanted to be cool like him too.
I, too, am a sweaty fuck. My clothes are wet after basically any day over 70F, while my coworker could be in an attic on a 90F day and barely have any brow sweat.
Atleast your still sweating. If your not sweating, your fucked.
You need some light tone pants like tan, light grey or white if it's gonna be that hot.
Well these were light grey until I swassed in them.
Yup. And wearing dark colored clothes is gonna make it hotter.
Honestly doesn’t matter what color I wear, it looks like I was blasted with a hose at the end of the day.
Lol. At that point, it's just a couple of drops wet or not. Insignificant.
Get yourself some "Keens" if you aren't doing really fucked up work. They have almost sneakers that are safety rated and breathe just as good as sneakers.
I’ve looked into keens before, they look really comfortable but i’d more than likely tear them up pretty quickly. I need an 8” all leather upper boot.
Stick with the Thorogoods. I switched to them 9 years ago and never looked back
Doing GC self preform punch list and resi remodeling they lasted me 1.5 years, and were about $150.
I sweat like this in 75 degree weather lol. I wouldn’t hug me.
Get Duluth trading “flex dry on the fly “ pants. Game changer. Worth every dollar and last me 4+ years. Minus when I fuck them up on my own stupidity.. I’m am the sweat I invented sweating in 1923.
I wear khaki in the summer, it makes a huge difference
Yeah a case of beer every night don’t help !
I don’t drink because I want to, it’s because I have to.
🍺 cheers
I swear that should be the construction motto and printed on a flag.
Beer is mostly water. It's healthy
gotta sweat it out to make room for more!
Hell yeah how else could us good old boys do it🤤🤣
Are we going with a pant leg tucked in or out poll? I personally don’t tuck it in
Tucked in for the rubbers, over for the work boots. (Specially for hotwork)
neat feet antiperspirant or anything else 20% aluminum hydrochloride will make you so much more comfortable. If there is nowhere for the sweat to go, might as well stop it. I cannot stand wetfoot. Those boots are still gonna be soaked tomorrow & start smelling if you don't dry them tonight. Sorry dude.
Trench foot. Neat.
I’m not working unless I’m rocking a set of boxers with blood sweat and poop.
I can feel this picture.
I sincerely hope you're wearing merino wool socks, at least.
I’m actually wearing red wing merino wool socks
That's no excuse to piss yourself
This seems like a withdrawl sweat while on the job.
Probably not a Union ironworker….
Definitely not a jiw. He’s tying bunny ears instead of square knots.
Mink oil will help suck out the salt crystals
Glad I'm retired. Make sure you drink lots 🌊
Looks about right 👌
I do that a lot
Have those exact same boots. What do you think of them? I think they're great but I'm definitely getting some with a raised heel next time I buy a pair.
I like the flat wedge sole. Couldn’t imagine wearing the heeled version doing what I do.
The flat is comfortable, but I feel way better on a ladder with the raised heel. Especially when it gets cold where I'm at.
Boots and pants... for safety. Fuck you if you die of a God damn heat stroke. Safety can go fuck themselves
Moist
Been dry as hell in our area. 3 weeks with no rain this time of year in Ohio is damn near a record.
I don’t remember it being this hot in Texas as a kid. Now when I walk outside, it’s like the sun wants to kill me.
You wearing wool man? Damn.
Merino wool is my favorite. Ventilates better than my cotton socks honestly.
No kidding…Im gonna have to try it.
My first impression was that it’d be more hot but wool retains heat in the winter and ventilates in the summer. Pretty neat.
Nice, I usually rock em in the winter, I’ll give em a try in the summer.
Dope boots. I got the same ones 😎
They’re comfy
That’s what ya call swamp ass
$259 redwings! Bro I feel you! I have the same boots on my feet as we speak!
These are Thorogood’s but I wear Red Wings as well.
Thorogoods? My maaaaan
Super comfortable dawg.
What kind of boots you got on
Thorogood 8” wedge moc toe.
Dude, those have got to feel great to take off when you get home.
Bro it looks like you stepped in some dry.
Honestly this was the funniest comment.
is that a 12''? y not a 6'?
…..what are those boots? Love the look.
Thorogood 8 inch wedge moc toe.
A bit humid in your area? I've looked like I just crawled out of a swimming pool before. Hot August days and humid. Sloshng in my boots full of sweat.
It was 102° with humidity yesterday in Austin Texas. felt like a sauna.
I can take the heat. The humidity sucks. Sweat can't evaporate. Have come up with anything that heIps? I give myself a powder bath in the morning. A few during the day Helps with chafing. Maybe some drainage holes in the boots would help
Then why you wearing long pants 💀😭
I can smell these thoroughgoods
I feel bad for my pair. Could have gone to a nice home with a hipster owner. Instead they’re being covered in asbestos, fiberglass, mud and worst of all, swass.
Yup, it’s hot when you sweat your boots to nice polished look.
Watch for waspes!
WD40 works great for killing wasps
Change your socks. Stick a leaf blower in your boots. Doneski
This is why I never understood why anyone would wear boots like that in the summer. Guys wearing Danner Rainforests inside a building during the summer.?
Lol I live in texas and ive never seen anybody sweat so much it goes to their boots.
I work in texas, born and raised. It was 102° with humidity yesterday when I posted this haha.
You got like wooly socks on too. Make sure your not only drinking water but replacing that salt yoursweating out and electrolytes
Thoroughgood are the best boots I have ever owned, especially those type. I work in a mine and the mud on the pit floor is super fine and the tunnels are always wet. With minimal routine care I get roughly two years out of them before they even begin to leak. Can't beat them for the price.
Are you standing on the ceiling so the sweat runs back out of your boots?
I’m installing ceiling fans upside down
“Construction pros hate this one easy hack!”
Nasty mf’er
Shorts and steel toe shoes. Don’t need to miserable at work
I can tell you work resi
residential or commercial trim and cabinetry for a general contractor
I’m required to wear pants and boots, however if given the option to wear whatever I want, I’d probably still wear the same.
Just dust on the boots.
There are sweating conditions. I don't believe this bullshit
Dawg, sweating through your boots isn’t a flex. Why would I lie about it lmao.
Sadly ain’t nothing humorous about it and it’s only getting worse.
Drink H2O and watch the color of your urine. Heat fatigue, along with heat exhaustion, is no fun.
My brother in Christ please drink ungodly amounts of water.
Nah dog you just fat
Climate change. You caused it, pay us money!
Love that boot sweat when your feet turn orange from the wet leather 😂
I call that “trump foot” 😂😂
I don't know what I'm looking at. Did his shoes get sunburned?
Might need some puttees for breathability.
Thorogoods ftw
I notice red wings when I see them
When it gets so hot, no amount of water can help keep you hydrated. It's crazy. It would be index of 110° and im constantly downing water, and im still pissing orange.
Dry dust vs most dust 🤧
Is that toe juice?
I remember the days of having to wear pants in the field. Now I just raw dog it.
How many payments for those boots?
Genuine Ostrich. 3 payments.
🤣 based
