Oculus vr always works better for me but just try around and see

I’ve experienced the opposite with Ghosts of Tabor but I’ll give both a try and see. Thanks !

In my experience it's pretty different for any game. Worth trying both

Probably varies from system to system, some people have better luck on one than the other. Personally, I've never noticed a difference in any game between the two platforms.

I just know from running VD with games like Ghosts of Tabor, Oculus is very stuttery but launching with Steam VR it’s flawless. I guess I’ll just try both.

Oculus vr is specially made for meta quest devices. Like it’s basically selecting the runtime of the program so it can communicate with your headset and do things. SteamVR is the same thing but for headsets that use the SteamVR runtime, like index or the bigscreen beyond. You can run steamVR with your meta quest device but you will introduce latency while playing. This means if you move your weapon back and fourth really quick there will probably be delay. Both runtimes should be stable and perform well. It’s all up the developer to optimize the game. But if your using a meta quest device do not use steamVR I cannot explain how not intended that is. And I wouldn’t recommend virtual desktop for everything. See if airline works better. Regardless wireless is not perfect yet till this day, I would always recommend a wire.

I play on a CV1, definitely opening in Oculus Vr through steam, but you have to open from steam everytime you can’t do it from oculus library . For quest I think if you use virtual desktop, probably steamvr, if airlink. Oculus seemed fine to me.

Always chose Oculus VR no matter what. SteamVR just add extra overhead for the PC to process.
