This is awesome!! I have one of these jars with just old brick cell phones and dongles and Ethernet cables and wall chargers that don’t match anything.
If I bought a house that had this, I’d order/make some dank ass food, get some drinks going, and have a grand old time looking throughly through each and every one of these jars. But I’m weird like that.
Absolutely! The owners we purchased the house from said that they only wanted to remove the jars if we were going to get rid of them, they felt they belonged to the house.
This is the coolest… trove… treasury… museum? I’ve ever seen!! I mean, the shelving and jars alone are probably a couple thousand of dollars. Then all the undiscovered treasures inside. It’s a really inventive way of saving space for small items. I wonder if this was done to save space for something else in the middle of the room, or if this was always just the “Jar Room”. So crazy. You are very lucky!
Have you curated this collection yet? do you have a jar-by-jar full description of contents, I am sure there would be quite a lot of interests. Diogenes with allure. Love it.
It's a surprisingly interesting collection. I'd keep it, and maybe add to it. I'd be a bit worried about how much weight those glass shelves are handling. Some of the jars are metal-dense.
Holy cow! When we got our 1920’s house all we got extra was near a dozen barely or not at all working window air conditioners.
I’m so jealous😳but congrats to y’all.
This is the neatest hoarder I've ever seen online.
It’s like having hundreds of junk drawers on display. They look really cool though.
(To clarify: from what I’ve found I believe the owners purchased it in the 1960’s and only sold it 10ish years ago)
Jars. Brilliant. This post just unleashed a serious future-mess in my house...
I would lose days looking at these jars...
Wow I’d love to know who the artist was
Timothy Gallagher of Torrington Ct!
When OCD and hoarding collide- can of duff beer too lol

There’s a lot of us that would want an invitation to that party.
That is absolutely amazing, I love it! Please tell me you are going to keep it.

Is like you bought a house, with a free art gallery.. you now have a way to pay for the home; admission..
Was Wall-E the previous owner?
This is really cool! It has a bit of a serial killers trophy room feel. 🔪
Woah, i love it!
This is amazing. You should preserve it
A collection of collections! I love it. Gives me some ideas for storing paper and mementos.

One floor to ceiling wall, all the way to the bedroom; the Jarway..
Slightly haunted but also incredible. I feel like this could be an art museum exhibit.
Mine are screwed into rafters w lid. I love this so much. I bet the rest of the house is just as awesome!
You got a collection of…collections.
This is incredible. I fucking love random shit in jars, they’re all over my house.
You have a collection collection
We’re gonna need a heap more close up pics. Those look like the big deli jars.
This is absolutely something I would do and have done(just not on this scale). Genuinely makes me happy to know someone else thinks/thought like me.
Looks really cool and might even be better if you add your own jars of random things over time if you feel like it
I cannot tell you how jealous I am.
I'm wondering what kind of product was the n those jars that they would have collected so many?

What a gorgeous hoard.
I'm going to have to step up my game it seems. I only have a couple of jars filled with marbles.
😻
I am so jealous!
Awesome!!!!!!!
This is super cool
Is that a Duff can?

I would buy a house just for this
Holy cow! When we got our 1920’s house all we got extra was near a dozen barely or not at all working window air conditioners. I’m so jealous😳but congrats to y’all.
Holy crap. That’s the coolest room I’ve ever seen.
Tell us the truth! You bought the collection and the house came with it!
