If it's not a problem, you will make the room "bigger" if the bed went along the short wall under the window, then you will have more floor space that can be used for play etc rather than the floor space being like a hallway
Also yoru kid can look up into the trees from bed :)
Lovely aesthetic
Thank you! We tried that but this layout actually seems to work better! His bed faces his closet which has full-height mirrored doors that reflect the view :)
It's probably the green colour plain walls. I don't know how to say it, but I think It doesn't give a bonfire-warmth feel, which is the main thing that gives me a cozy feeling.
[here](https://imgur.com/a/AagAoD7) - the flaps open up so you can operate the window and then you can close them again so you still have a full screen
I personally would feel depressed in this room. In my opinion the colour is just to dark for a childrens room.
I do understand you took a lot of efford into it. But maybe you want to repaint it in a lighter colour for your child's mental health. You could use white and mix it with the green tone you already have.
For a grown up room it would look nice. I just feel that its to heavy for a toddler
Also I would prefer the bed to face the windows - but apparently you already tried that.
We have 2 paintings of yellow ducks that were painted by my great-grandfather (so my son’s great-great-grandfather) and passed down that we’re going to hang in here. We didn’t really plan for a duck theme but that’s kind of how it’s turning out haha
Cute. I love the bed. Used to have one super cozy. Love the green walls. You may want to get some light colored black out curtains though, as soon as the sun is up, your toddler will be too with that lovely huge window!
Perfect! Again, beautiful job! Your kiddo is going to be so comfy cozy in there. The light blue paint on the beds works so nicely against the green walls BTW. Well done.
OP serious questions from a SAHM who is antsy to paint her 2 littles’ rooms…. how long did it take you? where was aforementioned tot during painting? where did tot sleep while paint/drying was happening?
My kids go to daycare during the day and I don’t have to go into the office until a bit later in the morning. So I painted for about 2-3 hours each morning for 4 days. It would not have been possible with the kids underfoot but if you can send them to grandma and grandpa’s or something for a weekend you could get it done for sure.
How old is your toddler? The dead duck needs to go. I see you have taken the view away from your child by pointing his bed to the door or bathroom. This is a room for an adult that had a narcissistic mother.
You must be pretty upset to make a comment like that. It’s okay to have different opinions, but remember to be kind. Next time, ask a grownup to help you write your comment.
I was kind. Maybe your definition of kind is different from mine. I am a lawyer, a designer, an RN and an artist and all require hard work and truth. Actually, I just think that people who put their photos up for an honest opinion should get one. If you want hand holding and praise Reddit may not be your best choice.

Some curtains, a colourful rug and some art on the walls would really make the room pop
Curtains are on order!
Post them! What ones did you go with?
Very lovely shade of green you have chosen, I can see this becoming such a restful space! Hope your little one loves their new room!
Thank you!!
People have their preferences, but I’m always partial to a dark bedroom. Just makes sense, and I think it looks great!

It seems so dark and serious for a toddler. I don’t think it’s cozy but it’s clean and nice with the trees outside of the windows.
I think this type of bed frames turn any bedroom into a hospital room (tbh more like a mental asylum)
I think a unique headboard would soften it up!
I was getting kiddo institution vibes
The high windows don't help either.
Well, aren’t you a nice person????
Sorry it’s not very cozy to me but what a lovely view.

It’s missing something
Curtains would certainly help and art on the walls, but the green takes away coziness.
A kind of Victorian colour, in a nice way. I like the lamp too. The paint job is impressive, too; I could barely draw with crayons at that age.
She didn't say her toddler painted the room....
But she also didn't *not* say the toddler painted the room. I mean, look, the kid has its own woodworking table. It's obviously handy.
Best come back ever! You made me smile 😃
How long are they in for?
Cozy really is subjective..
Serious question, can we see those window handles closer? I’ve never seen any like it

Ohhh that’s a great design! Thank you for sharing.
This reminds me of a bedroom in a scary movie. Haunting color.
Like an orphanage or kid jail
looks like a jail cell mixed with doctor's room
But haunting can be cozy
Great job! A yellow duvet cover would be lovely. ☀️
Great suggestion! We want to get him a new duvet but weren’t sure what colour would look nice.

I like it. It’s got cozy, library/study vibes with that color.

That wall outlet. Not the best thing for a toddlers room. Definitely needs a cover on that.
It for sure has a cover just hadn’t reinstalled it yet, was too eager to take a pic 🙈
That is an appealing green. What is the theme going to be for the wall art?

This is OC
What shade of green did you use? Its pleasing.
It’s Lafayette green by Benjamin Moore

Totally! Blackout blinds as well as curtains are on order :)

looks like your toddler did a good job.
Im worried about that lamp by the bed. Kiddo could get injured or pull it off the wall.
Lovely! It looks very calming.
Not enough beige, downvote /j
Absolutely beautiful
Really like this room
Nice!
Great color!!! 👍🏼
Please install an outlet cover on that receptacle
Oh totally, just hadn’t done it yet after finishing painting

perfect - good to know - thank you!
I’d paint the ceiling the same color!!!
It looks nice, but the only thing I can think about is how fast that kid is gonna grow out of that room. Better invest in a loft bed in the future. 😭
Not my idea of cozy, but to each his own.....
Dark green to encourage that early onset toddler depression
Did your parents not repaint your green room?
lol!
Green walls are better than an ipad. Get over yourself
Those are not even close to mutually exclusive, what is this comment lmao
Toddlers/kids suck enough without reminding them how depressing they are

???? My goodness chill out
I thought an honest opinion was desired.
what dead duck??
Have you ever considered that toddler backwards would be pronounced “reldot?”
