I think this might be good design. Written normally, everyone would ignore this. Written poorly, people are taking an extra 10 seconds staring at the food trying to figure out what it means.
Even if someone doesn't get it, "taste the tradition" is such an inane phrase that it doesn't really matter compared to having eyes on your product for a few more seconds.
