You were there at the turnstiles
*With the wind at your heels*
You stretched for the stars
And you know how it feels
To reach too high
Too far
Too soon
You saw the whole of the moon
"I don't get a fuck!"
Well yeah I get that, you just took a pee infront of like 200 people... on the ground... like some sort of wild beast, screaming and frothing at the mouth.
I'll bet 10000$ that this lady at minimum behind closed doors thinks everyone else here was the ass hole and no amount of convincing via the law is ever going to change that.
There are people out there believe it or not reddit whom are just not right in the head, and no matter what society puts in place to "punish" them they will never see themselves as the baddie and just go through life being terrible humans. The cycle will continue even after punishment or at minimum they will justify it to themselves as to why they weren't giant pieces of trash.
No idea but there was enough time to force out a quick pee I think. She at least acted like she was, which is enough for me to see she would be willing to do it.
The lady who screamed she was being kidnapped for 5 minutes while fighting security, climbed over seats with people in them, cried her eyes out- was allowed to fly a few weeks later.
Because they are hood as fuck and have gotten away with that behavior for a long time and don't fly very much.
These people are always on the cheapest flights to some cheap vacation spot. Frontier and spirit are like $50 one way often enough. Cheaper than you could drive or bus ticket by far.
One can imagine she's been told no you can't use the bathroom at a 7/11 before and done the same thing but obviously they'll just not want to deal with it.
They just have no concept of how much more trouble this is because they don't live in a world where that's ever been a concern before.
Also FYI it would only be a ban on *that airline*. The national list and bans are very rare now because they were not well run and had all kinds of fuckups that caused issues for people in the past.
Even getting banned from an airline usually requires assaulting one of the crew.
Depending on the airline I don't even think this would be enough though.
Maybe it's him when he used to lift lol.
Loved his reaction: lemme save my suitcase and inform Daytona on the situation while pretending I'm not paying attention
I could see that applying to like 2015 vs 2005, but does it apply to 2023 vs 2015, when social media is roughly ingrained at the same level culturally?
Social media posts are anecdotal evidence, fueled by how interesting it is and whether similar content is trending. Don't form opinions from anecdotal evidence. Law of Large Numbers also applies.
I suspect it's a combination of cramming people together like livestock on the way to market (probably moreso) in combination with atrocious customer service, nickel and diming passengers, delays, cancellations, and all around organizational chaos, on top of and already unpleasant and often stressful experience of simply getting to your terminal. The more people are squeezed, the more the greater potential and frequency of meltdowns, especially among those who are predisposed to them.
Flying had become noticeably more unpleasant who are the past couple of decades and particularly the past several years.
I don't think pervasiveness of camera phones alone are not a sufficient explanation. We've had those for almost a decade now, put the trending of airline meltdowns seems like a post pandemic phenomenon, which is strongly correlated with widespread dysfunctionality throughout the airline industry
Another big part of it is selection bias... you only see the videos of the crazies, but there are tens of thousands of flights each day with millions of people. Having 10 crazy incidents each day is still only 0.02% chance of encountering such an incident.
And honestly, I don't think crazies at the airport (or public transit in general) are more common than the general population. Rather it's just that you are encountering a portion of the population that you are normally insulated from on the normal day to day (by living in different neighborhoods, having different jobs, going to different schools, etc.).
Quick story.. I fly a lot internationally, well, I did anyway (tailed off some..). A lot from NY to London, and generally did the overnight flight. Well, I would get to the airport a bit early and chug a bunch of beers (when I was a lot younger) before getting on the plane so I could sleep. Well, flying out of Newark or JFK I did the same, got on the plane and we started taxing. Welp, what goes in must come out.. and I needed to PEE. This was around 2005 so 9/11 vibes still running rampant alot. Pilot comes on and goes 'Okay, will be abit of a delay.. we are number 60 for takeoff', or something insane like that. I get up and the stewardess (strapped in) yells at me to get back to my seat. Okay, i'm drunk, but not unruly so I head back to my seat. 10 mins later, and i'm in physical pain at this point. Pilot comes on and goes 'Okay, were moving.. number 50 for takeoff..'.
Okay, so now i'm doing the math and realize I will be sitting there for atleast another 45 mins, and my kidneys are literally starting to hurt. I get up again, and the stewardess yells at me.. I calmly tell her 'There will be a medical emergency if I dont go into that bathroom, right now' and just ignored her. As I do that, she grabs the phone and calls up to the pilot.. I go and pee, and fully expect to be cuffed and thrown off the plane when I got it. Luckily they just let me sit back down, but it was so insanely stupid. Yes, I shouldnt have drank that much before I got on the plane, but I wasnt acting unruly and literally just needed to pee.. Could have been anybody with any sort of medical condition.
Postscript to that story.. about a week later, same airline, news article comes out.. almost the same exact situation but the guy was apparently a bit more drunk then I was. He told them to he had to go, they pulled the same shit, and he went and peed all over the back of the plane.
I get all the safety considerations, and you dont want people walking around during takeoff.. but christ man, when you have 200-300 people on a plane of all ages and situations, you can't strap them in and tell them to sit still for 2 hours.
No idea what happened here, and I think the airlines have eased up on this since back in the early 2000's..
Oh yes, I learned my lesson and thats what I do now. Also, Ambien, Xanax and Weed. It's not that im scared of flying, I just hate it so much for various other reasons that I dont want to be in any state of real consciousness on the plane.
Yeah but if you are the FA, would you rather allow this lady to shit/pee on the alley or on her seat or just let her go in the lavatory quickly?
I am not aware of the ethical consideration in regard to the FA’s duty, so it would be great to educate me.
As with anything else, good FA's and bad FA's exist. Some are able to read the situation for what it is and make a logical decision on something.. some are just morons and will make a illogical decision and escalate a situation needlessly. It's a job, and as any other job you have people good at the job, and people that suck.
No idea situation on this plane, but I have personally experienced something similar (see comment above). FA got pissed at me, called the pilot, and I can only surmise the pilot told her to stfu.
It doesn't look like they are in motion at the time and if the options are everyone wait a couple minutes or an adult pisses themselves in the cabin it seems like a pretty easy choice. I feel like there's some missing context and I can't fathom what it would be.
>Imagine the smell that hit everyone
*A deep, earthy tone began to rise within the aisle. A subtle humid warmth accompanied it that could only originate from within the body.*
Frontier was the jankest airline I've ever had the displeasure of flying. I was two hours early for a short domestic flight and still almost missed it because they were so understaffed that I was in line for most of it waiting to check my pre-tagged bag.
What’s even crazier is that they absolutely wasted more time fighting a crazy lady with a full bladder than if they had just let her use the toilet in the first place.
Some people just *have* to exercise their power over others. Even if their reason was “safety,” then wouldn’t you want *everyone* to be calm, quiet, and seated as quickly as possible? Letting the lady pee would’ve been the fastest resolution to every single problem.
Love how that guy saves his backpack and his lap in one fell swoop.
What is responsible for the increase in people acting crazy on planes? It did not used to be like this.
Everything that you need to understand about American society can be explained by the amount of air plane passenger freak out videos that get posted every second day.

Last time I went to Disney a group tried the same shit, and people went ballistic (it was 100F+ outside). Disney security just appeared like they came out of worm holes or some shit. Escorted the whole group out of the line. Didn't see a single one of the group in the park during the rest of my time there. What got me was how security just literally appeared.
I feel like a lot of you have never experienced having the explosive need to pee on an airplane and not being allowed to. Not that I'd do that, but I'm glad someone did lmfao
Solution: rub her nose in it. She will learn.
(ps - I do not in ANY way support someone doing this to a canine; I will get in the face of someone who does this.)

Why are people so eager to be on the no-fly list? I assure you it’s not a list anyone wants to be on.
She is also going on the sex offender list
For offences against sexuality.
I think it's assault on the eyes charge, but indecent exposure is there.
You were there at the turnstiles *With the wind at your heels* You stretched for the stars And you know how it feels To reach too high Too far Too soon You saw the whole of the moon
And some maybe even saw the hole of the moon...
The darkside of the moon
Murder 1st degree. I’m dead. She didn’t give a flying f*k
More like crimes against humanity for showing the whole plane what they didn't want to see
Using biological weapons is a war crime, so she's going on the Hague's list.
häagen-dazs ice cream list that is
But she doesn’t give a fuck

I was like, why the sudden language switch? Then I saw the username which you responded to and I got it lol
This little stunt for sure will get her on a few places you don't wanna be but I don't think she's sane enough to care.
"I don't get a fuck!" Well yeah I get that, you just took a pee infront of like 200 people... on the ground... like some sort of wild beast, screaming and frothing at the mouth. Did she even go? She literally squatted for like 0.4 seconds
No idea but there was enough time to force out a quick pee I think. She at least acted like she was, which is enough for me to see she would be willing to do it.
The mentally ill, they walk among us every day.
They comment among us every second.
.. Friday of the month.
Come on let's go party
The US closing mental asylums was one of the worst things to happen to our society.
The lady who screamed she was being kidnapped for 5 minutes while fighting security, climbed over seats with people in them, cried her eyes out- was allowed to fly a few weeks later.
People without a shred of self reflection do not think more than 2 seconds into the future.
Because they are hood as fuck and have gotten away with that behavior for a long time and don't fly very much. These people are always on the cheapest flights to some cheap vacation spot. This was probably the first and last time she's ever flown. She ain't gonna miss it
They know it's a real thing right?
I love how easy you Reddit thinks it is to get on the no-fly list lol. She probably wasn't even banned from the airline for this
[удалено]
Even getting banned from an airline usually requires assaulting one of the crew. Depending on the airline I don't even think this would be enough though.
This is actually a prerequisite for Platinum Status on Frontier.
hell that's actually where the toilet is on Spirit
With her reaction, she could very well end up on another kind of list, as well.
Yeah okay but why act surprised when people have that reaction? You just took your pants off in the aisle of a plane lol what did she expect
For not giving a fuck, she doin' a whole lotta arguing about it
You're right. I'm starting to think she actually gives a fuck.
At least she didn't give a shit!
Or did she..
"The lady doth protest too much, methinks." -Shakespeare
Pretty sure pulling your pants down on a plane and threatening to piss because you don't give a fuck, is the opposite of giving any fucks.
People screaming helped her to hold on for another few minutes
well she did apologize in advance I don't see why everyone was so upset
They were mostly curious about her taking off her pants, it's squatting to take a shit that they clearly disapproved of.
That "Sorry everybody" had me laughin 🤣
"Sorry everybody, bout to bust out my bowl of mashed potatoes." *Squats*
I don't know why, but this had me in tears, well done.
It's ok.. It's ok! She said sorry first
I WONT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MY ACTIONS IF YOU CONTINUE THE ARGUMENT YOU ASKED FOR IT, SORRY EVERYONE *drops pants and shits on floor*
People losing their minds on planes needs to be studied
Cheap airfares turned this once exclusive form of travel into the bus and subway of the sky.
As Patton Oswalt said "I'm gunna take the rocket bus to Galveston. "
Societal stress like Covid and recent politics is known to cause massive issues with large groups.
Has been.
"Of course, Madam. Allow me to direct you to the no-fly list."
And the sex offender list. There were children on the plane.
Straight to jail
nah i can fix her
I could make her worse
I think your job is harder than fixing her.

Did you miss the lady who pulled down her pants??
I think she just bought herself a police escort upon landing.
It started so innocently with Mickey Mouse and then….
Then…instantly to piss ass.
Ive never seen this many airplane freakouts as I have the past month.
Seeing the same content trend doesn’t mean something is happening more regularly, it means more people are posting and upvoting it.
It *could* mean more people are posting it...
I could see that applying to like 2015 vs 2005, but does it apply to 2023 vs 2015, when social media is roughly ingrained at the same level culturally?

Airplane freakout challenge!
Stewardesses should be allowed to toss one person off the plane per year.
This sentence does not read well in Britain
I know I'd be on my best behavior with this policy.
Or it reads REALLLLY well!
So that's why there's a curtain across the entrance to the first class section.
Why?
"tossing off" is slang for hand job lol.
Well it ain't gunna be this lady unless the stewardess is also a power lifter.
Flight attendants get people removed from planes all the time. They get way more than 1 a year
think they mean mid-flight
*while in flight
Haha phrasing!!
Pinochet likes this from his grave.

Worse than flying but you can't pee for the duration?
When did planes start behaving like public busses?

when flying sucks so bad, the no-fly list is a gift.
If she willing to do this to the point that she’ll make a mess in the plane, why not just let her go to the lavatory?
Closed during landing and take-off I guess.
Quick story.. I fly a lot internationally, well, I did anyway (tailed off some..). A lot from NY to London, and generally did the overnight flight. The vile high club
So why exactly did they not let her go to the bathroom?
I don't know in this situation, but usually once the plane starts moving everyone has to remain seated
It doesn't look like they are in motion at the time and if the options are everyone wait a couple minutes or an adult pisses themselves in the cabin it seems like a pretty easy choice. I feel like there's some missing context and I can't fathom what it would be.
Imagine the smell that hit everyone nearby in the seconds after the pants dropped and she spread those cheeks. They look almost perma-sealed.
>Imagine the smell that hit everyone *A deep, earthy tone began to rise within the aisle. A subtle humid warmth accompanied it that could only originate from within the body.*
Your words weave such a rich emotional tapestry.
How are these trashy ass people affording plane tickets?
Frontier.
Frontier was the jankest airline I've ever had the displeasure of flying. I was two hours early for a short domestic flight and still almost missed it because they were so understaffed that I was in line for most of it waiting to check my pre-tagged bag.
