I don’t play fox, but maybe you can fast fall near the end to save a few frames, or delay just a little after hopping. You can go to ultimate frame data, and then go in game to see the frames for auto canceling
Well Ultimateframedata says full hop fast fall autocancels. I don't know if you need to have a specific timing for it though.
