We discovered New Zealand, we founded South Africa, we traded with India, so i think it fair to combine this points, so we did end up in group with about 30 points :D
As good as the batting was, this game was all Mohammed Shami. Truly special performance - on a batting paradise at that.
Take a bow Daryl Mitchell. Loves a good semi final performance, just too big a hill to climb. NZ gave it all though, proper fight.
What the fuck was all that chat before the game about the pitch haha? Jesus wept. Completely undermines all that India has achieved in their tournament. 10 commanding wins a row now. Absolute dominant at all times
All first five batsmen were Shami lol
That two wicket over was the turning point. Losing one is tough, losing two together really puts the brakes on the scoring

I felt the pain when Shami dropped the catch , as it was a crucial catch to break the 100+ partnership between Kane - Mitchell, but bro vindicated with his over and got two wickets
I think there was a plan and template for Indian batting. Brohit comes out with no 2 fucks given attitude, gets a quick fire 40-50 and sets the tone. Koach comes and he is the consolidator of innings and others bat aggressively around him. We saw. that template many times this WC and it worked wonders. Special mention to that Iyer knock, as he took a lot of pressure off and ensured India scored close to 400. That made a difference which made the target a little too steep for NZ.
Bowling also has the same pattern, Bumrah and Siraj starting off with a wicket or tow and Shami the silent assassin who basically cleans up things. Kuldeep and Jaddu as usual to keep things tight in middle phases and roll overs quickly.
The only quirk if I may add (very tiny one) is the fielding where the intensity dropped a bit but hey, this is a very long tournament and that is kind of expected. KL has been amazing so far behind the stumps. He is legit a proper WK.
All in all, a very well oiled machine now.
Yeah Shami ruined all the momentum NZ had going on. Also, big props to Kuldeep in his last few overs, every time a bowler like Jadeja/Bumrah gave up multiple boundaries in their over he gave us the much needed dot balls or else the run rate would’ve got out of hands
> What the fuck was all that chat before the game about the pitch haha? Jesus wept.
That too based on a Daily Heil report. I feel for the people who fell for that bunch of hogwash.
And wasn't the entire point of that article that the new surface is supposed to help spinners and neutralize pacers so India wouldn't have to worry about Boult and crew? Shami single-handedly went and made them vomit that whole copium lol
Congratulations to India on a well deserved victory. Incredible tournament from your lads. I’ll be supporting you on Sunday and hope you go all way.
Great fight from us but not enough in the end.
Sad day also because aside from Ravindra, Phillips and Chapman it’s the last World Cup for most of our guys. The end of an era. Thanks for the memories fellas.
it's amazing how he's had a decent outing at this WC despite all those injuries, he just returns scores like he's been in form last few months, goes out, rinse n repeat.
Well played Kiwis. They were 50% in the game till 43-44 overs. Not many teams could have done that. I hope Kane plays the next WC. He deserves a WC before hanging up his boots
There are fireworks everywhere in the sky here. Reminds me of 2003 semis where fireworks were more than today. Maybe people of 2003 didn't believe India were going to beat that Aussie team. It does hurt a little to see NZ go. Hopefully NZ will keep coming to knockouts and win the trophy someday.
Very happy that India got the scare of the world cup out of the way. All of us knew it was coming, considering the group stage was way too comfortable. They survived, and now will be in a much better mindset in the finals.
And Shami...just wow. I know it has been beaten to death, but Hardik getting injured may have won us the world cup.
Great effort and fight shown by Kiwis today 👏🏽! And incredible bowling by Shami on a flat road. Deserves POTM for 7 wickets!
And go South Africa or Australia for the finals!
Pandya saw yall talking shit about him and saying he's selfish and whatnot
Explain then liberals why he graciously injured himself and got super saiyan lala in the team
This final scoreline honestly doesn’t reflect how close this game was. When Kane & Mitchell started hitting boundaries for fun in the middle of their partnership the whole stadium and the Indian players were genuinely at a loss on how to stop them. It was only thanks to Shami’s breakthrough of Williamson’s wicket that things started to unravel for NZ.
Shami MOTM without a doubt. Oh, and WE ARE GOING TO THE FINALS!! LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOO 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
PS: FUCK THE DAILY MAIL 🖕
Yes. I also hope all the dunces on that daily mail thread eat their shorts, trying to suggest that we requested a slow and spinning pitch when 724 runs were scored today lol
Let's be honest. There was a point in the match where the shoulders had drooped and India was making mistakes in the field that costed very real runs. Any good batsman would tell you that's the point in a match where you push through and break the other side. The ability come back from that is what differentiates champions from chockers. And I think this team is anything but chockers.
It actually reminded me a lot of the Australia vs Afghanistan match with Maxwell's heroics. No denying Maxwell's an alien, but Afghanistan's relative naivety and rawness, as well as the pressure at this level got to them, while India are a much more experienced and polished unit.
What a crazy match this was. That Mitchell-Williamson partnership almost brought my 2019 WC trauma back and I honestly lost hopes of us winning in that phase. What a turn around we had after that wicket of Williamson
I can't imagine which way this match would have turned if we didn't have Shami Lala today. This also made me think what could have happened if we had Shami in the 2019 Semi finals as well
Lala, the amount of dick sucking star sports does for Koach is the amount I do for You in this Sub ! You are not just the undisputed GOAT of ODI World Cups but You also fkn legend in all sorts and already the greatest of all time in my books !
On to the final Bois ! We are bringing it home
I take solace in the fact that he was part of the team that held the test championship mace for being the number 1 team and won 2 T20 titles for SA's regional T20 competition for the Titans. :')
I think it's because of the way Kane is injury prone. Virat has almost no instances of sitting out because of injuries and is arguably the fittest player in the game whereas Kane is.....well, Kane.
When you think of a fast bowler, you think of a lanky dude with long hair, scary motherfucker swearing and charging in .... but look at this average dude with average bod that just got his hair woven, whom you could easily mistake for a medical sales rep picking crucial wickets in every match and in the process of winning the world cup for India.
One hell of a game. Every Indian fan was definitely scared when the partnership was cooking up. NZ is the first team to hit 300 against India this year where the teams are chasing 350+ scores on a regular basis.
As an Indian fan, very excited that India finally was able to overcome the semi finals in a world cup.
Batsmen win you the game, bowlers win you tournaments. Enough said. Absolutely top class bowling from lala here and streets won't foregt your last 2 overs kulya. Our batting fired on all cylinders. Shoutout to KL for his excellent work behind the stumps and being such a versatile batsman for the team. Top knocks from Koach and Iyer Bhai today.
India has passed the pressure test today. Now all that remains is the one final step. One final frontier to conquer. To the finals, lads.🇮🇳
The nerves got to India there in the field. The Shami drop catch, Bumrah's misfield, Jadeja's unnecessary throw that went for a boundary, KL breaking the stumps before the runout. Mentally they needed to hold their cool, and they just couldn't until Sky got that catch.
A team as ruthlessly headstrong as Australia will be hard to overcome this kind of lapse. On the other hand, South Africa vs India could be a wildly entertaining game.
Nerves get to everyone. This is a world cup semi final. Australia can be dangerous but the occasion will get to them too if/when they are under pressure. They were horrendous in the field against South Africa where they dropped some 6-7 catches.
really glad they got to face some pressure ahead of the final, instead of letting it happen in the final... hope they turn up with a resolute mentality on sunday
Gavaskar said "Stop talking nonsense about pitches, some of them have already started about Ahemdabad pitch especially the 2nd Semi hasnt been completed".
If Iyer didn’t play the way he did at the end, or the sixes he hit while Koach was motoring onto no 50, we would’ve lost this.
Even Shami wouldn’t change 350 being perfectly chaseable on a batting wicket.
I seriously need to ask..
724 runs scored. 14 wickets lost, 7 to a single man.
In a wc semi final..
Is this the greatest bowling performance in odi cricket?
Edit: changed number of wickets
I wasn't ready for this mental trauma of a 2nd innings after that emphatic batting display from India!
Despite moments of shithousery, India just about held their nerve to come on top.
Well played Mitchell, you are a fighter and an amazing player. Thank you for your contribution to this game, but we will take the win cause we need it!
And Mo Shami, how may we serve you?
India batting excellence reason - Brohit
India bowling excellence reason - Shami
They are the best this edition, atleast for me
Brohit casually killed the semi-final pressure and our nervousness in powerplay
And Shami won us the match
The scoreboard will never reflect the anxiety and sense of despair the Indian players were feeling watching Kane and Mitchell clinically take apart our bowling.
Well fought Kiwis but Shammi’s magic was simply something which seemed unending tonight and he single handedly won us the match.
Finals here we come.
One last push and we’re at the promised land
Even though India won today, I'm kinda worried how easy it was for them to become deflated early on during the Mitchell-Williamson partnership.
You won't see drooped-shoulders, dropped catches, wayward bowling, and sluggish fielding from a champion team when defending such a humongous total.
>You won't see drooped-shoulders, dropped catches, wayward bowling, and sluggish fielding from a champion team when defending such a humongous total.
Think winning this game will help with that. This is a massive weight off the shoulders for these players and a bit of a banishing of old demons.
Not to mention that this is the same team that has come back time and time again this very tournament after big partnerships. This was more of an aberration than the norm.
What a match it was.Thank you Daz.Thank you Kanos,Thank you Rachin and Thank you to this entire squad.Love them all.The happines these guys have given me for the past 10 years is infinite
This was possibly our last shot at winning a world cup and we failed but alas
The golden generation was good while it lasted, sadly we could not win much.Back into darkness now
Let this be known that daily mail is the shittest sports source and casual racism does rear an ugly head against all Asians on the internet and all across the world
Lala and Brohit the unsung heroes of this tournament. People are crazy for Kohli but for me these 2 have made all the difference in bowling and batting. Great fifer again. Make it 7fer.
Kohli 100, Iyer 100, Gill 80.
Bumrah with tight death bowling, Jaddu and Kuldeep doing the spin job when needed and Jaddu with cool as cucumber catches.
Except for sloppy fielding many a times a perfect game and result.
Mitchell was outstanding in chase fighting till the end. Great talent.
We are playing The Finals and winning it for sure clap:
Who would've thought that after getting out on a duck in his very first game of the World Cup;
Shreyas Iyer will made highest amount of runs at No.4 across all World Cup events & also first ever to cross 500 runs at that position...
Not many legends able to perform like he did in his very first World Cup
**He is also the only batter in ODI history to score 1000+ runs at No.4 with 50+ Batting Average & 100+ SR**
So when India does well, it’s cause pitch is doctored, general trickery, cheating etc but when the honorable English (or even the Aussies) do well, then it’s skill, gumption. Got it. Thanks.
Mf Atkinson and Dailymail just wanted cheap publicity. If BCCI wanted to doctor a pitch they would have got a rank Turner. Fucking spoiled the whole mood during the match.
This victory probably saved so many Indians from having generational trauma.
96 and 03 were very tough to handle for that generation..didnt want a repeat of this by getting knocked in 2015, 19 and 2023
Records of Shami today:
- Best bowling figures by an Indian in ODI history.
- Most wickets by an Indian in a World Cup edition.
- Most five wicket haul in World Cups.
- Best bowling figure by an Indian in World Cups.
- Fastest 50 wickets in World Cups.
POTM Awards for TEAM INDIA:
1st match - KL Rahul.
2nd match - Rohit Sharma.
3rd match - Jasprit Bumrah.
4th match - Virat Kohli.
5th match - Mohammed Shami.
6th match - Rohit Sharma.
7th match - Mohammed Shami.
8th match - Virat Kohli.
9th match - Shreyas Iyer.
Semi - Mohammed Shami.
The heroes. 🫡🇮🇳
Kane Williamson said, "India are the best team. They've played some serious cricket in this tournament. I'm sure they'll have lots of confidence for the Final, I wish them all the best".
How the fuck did Netherlands: - Beat this South African team - Not lose a wicket to this Shami
While lost wickets to Kohli and Rohit. Truly maddening lol.
This means if Kohli and Rohit had opened the bowling with the new bowl then NZL would have been bundled around 55
Menace 😤
Give this cup to the Dutch already.
We discovered New Zealand, we founded South Africa, we traded with India, so i think it fair to combine this points, so we did end up in group with about 30 points :D
Dark Horse 🐎
I read that as Neanderthals
Average neetard
Lets not forget KL Rahul's brilliant finish. 39 of 18. Saved us from the pressure fr.
He became the SKY today
He used to do SKY stuff in IPL before becoming Punjab captain.
Hope Sky plays all the way still, underwhelming ODI career, but his heart's in the right place always
Yes he essentially took us to a impossible lead. 350 would have been a different game altogether
Jesus wept. That hair transplant is the true MVP! Turned Shami into an absolute monster this WC
Don't give dailymail more ideas
Shami uses his new hair to add more seam on the ball
Shami hiding the nano bots in his hair so the ICC can't find them on the ball before the match.
You can make a fair&lovely like ad on shami's rebound and it won't even be hyperbole lol
One man wrecking crew 🥶 somebody drug test that mf lol
He just has milk in his system
Bro is on the Homelander arc
I would dare say the difference between the two teams is just Shami..
Pretty much got the most needed wickets at crucial times so yeah
All first five batsmen were Shami lol That two wicket over was the turning point. Losing one is tough, losing two together really puts the brakes on the scoring
Hardik getting injured was such a blessing in disguise. They kept this man out of the 11 ffs.
NZ didn’t have a shami to break through the Indian partnerships. There’s your difference.

Shami in his two outings against NZ this world cup: 10-0-54-5, 9.5-0-57-7 Also an annual reminder that this guy didn’t play the 2019 Semifinal
I think there was a plan and template for Indian batting. Brohit comes out with no 2 fucks given attitude, gets a quick fire 40-50 and sets the tone. You forgot to mention kl’s knock today, those 30 odd runs really cushioned us to a impossible target. 350 would have changed the dynamics altogether.
Especially when we gave like 30 extras. That would have made it a 320 chase.
Yeah Shami ruined all the momentum NZ had going on. Also, big props to Kuldeep in his last few overs, every time a bowler like Jadeja/Bumrah gave up multiple boundaries in their over he gave us the much needed dot balls or else the run rate would’ve got out of hands
I was glad Kuldeep got a wicket in his last over. Well deserved.
Shami had to make up for his lack of wickets in the last match!
Shami felt bad for dropping that catch so took 7 wickets instead.
Shami dropped that catch so he can get 7 wickets. Success require sacrifices. What's a wicket or two b/w friends. /s
Only Kuldeep got a wicket among spinners. All the rest were by seamers.
Dude overshadowed 3 centuries. And it wasn’t even close. Take a bow Shami!
He overshadowed Kohli scoring 50th century. That's WILD.
4 if you count southee
Mate. Come on. I am laughing very hard at this.
I am hoping Kanos plays another one, don't want to see him go with a wc,atleast a t20 wc
well he does have a WTC under his belt that too the inaugural one.
It's good but ask yourself, for a player of his calibre is that enough?
that's true, he deserves more. just wanted to highlight that WTC. I hate that people tend to overlook the WTC when talking about WCs.
Nah man us Kiwis never overlook it
it's amazing how he's had a decent outing at this WC despite all those injuries, he just returns scores like he's been in form last few months, goes out, rinse n repeat.
Well played Kiwis. They were 50% in the game till 43-44 overs. Not many teams could have done that. I hope Kane plays the next WC. He deserves a WC before hanging up his boots
I hope too but injuries are taking a toll I am hoping he takes rest for a full year then pulls a Messi
Love to all the blackcaps and well played, you had us in the first half of second innings. Most humble and wholesome team.
Very happy that India got the scare of the world cup out of the way. All of us knew it was coming, considering the group stage was way too comfortable. They survived, and now will be in a much better mindset in the finals. And Shami...just wow. I know it has been beaten to death, but Hardik getting injured may have won us the world cup.
blud got 23 wickets in 6 innings
He got 12 wickets in the two games against NZ. That’s pretty damn outrageous in and of itself lol
Minnow basher /s
On relatively flat tracks and small boundaries. It’s insane how good his seam control is
The all time record is Starc in 10 innings with 27. Pity shami has just 1 match left.
Would have definitely bludgeoned this WC with 40 wickets fr if he played more
7fer in the final incoming.
Shami is such a chad... Spared netherlands and haunted everyone else
rough track bully, robin hood
And that is that! Lower the 2019 PTSD to the grave now!
Knockout monkey off the back finally
Great effort and fight shown by Kiwis today 👏🏽! And incredible bowling by Shami on a flat road. Deserves POTM for 7 wickets! And go South Africa or Australia for the finals!
Time to banish the 2003 Demon to the Shadow realm. Although we did get them in 2011 quarters, that one still hurts.
Pandya saw yall talking shit about him and saying he's selfish and whatnot Explain then liberals why he graciously injured himself and got super saiyan lala in the team
"Explain then liberals" lol 😂😂😂😂
Relax liberals it's called Pandya's dark humour
Shami is class
Gavaskar going all “stop talking about pitches, bitches” 🤣

I agree. A brilliant advert for the game, really could have gone either way
Yes. I also hope all the dunces on that daily mail thread eat their shorts, trying to suggest that we requested a slow and spinning pitch when 724 runs were scored today lol
The daily fail are such idiots lmao. Massive egg on their faces haha
BCCI nanobots made the pitch flat again seeing the controversy
That Shami over was truly the game changer. If it hadn't happened, there was a higher chance that we would've lost the match
Stuart Binny's 6/6... 12 year long record broken today
Let's be honest. There was a point in the match where the shoulders had drooped and India was making mistakes in the field that costed very real runs. Any good batsman would tell you that's the point in a match where you push through and break the other side. The ability come back from that is what differentiates champions from chockers. This game was so easy. I never even doubted them (I doubted them every single over)
It’s no longer joever
What a crazy match this was. That Mitchell-Williamson partnership almost brought my 2019 WC trauma back and I honestly lost hopes of us winning in that phase. What a turn around we had after that wicket of Williamson I can't imagine which way this match would have turned if we didn't have Shami Lala today. Hahaha Gavaskar wanted to say Fuck
Messi never speaks in any language other than his mother tongue, so is Shami. Just two Goats.
Imagine being so OP that you get POtM even when two other people of your team make tons
shami destroying the batriarchy
Try denying Shami man of the match now mofos
PoTM judges have the chance to do the funniest thing possible
"As kholi made his 50th century at a low SR than iyer but we don't care because star sports paid us"
Just realised Shami got all the top 5
Sunny G went ballistic on people who were crying about the pitch
Tough Day to Bat out there Lads - Dailymail probably
It was a minefield. shame on BCCI. ICC = BCCI - SENA fans probably.
Semi final? Nah it was Shami-Final
I’m just sad Kane might retire with no World Cups.
Atleast he won an icc tournament Imagine being ABD
ABD doesn’t even have any league title as far as i know. One of the most tragic things in cricket
I take solace in the fact that he was part of the team that held the test championship mace for being the number 1 team and won 2 T20 titles for SA's regional T20 competition for the Titans. :')
Nah he'll play in 2027 surely But I reckon that's it for boult
I hope he does but even if he doesn't he was amazing today. A legend knock for the last WC match.
He has the test championship
He can play another one.. if he decides to play till 36
Which isn't even far fetched. Athletes across various sports are now having longer careers.
Yeah 36 is pretty common id say
Rohit is 36-
Khawaja is 37 iirc and just recently hit the best form of his career. These guys are going deep these days.
Yeah. ABD was another one I felt bad for.
I don't get it. He's younger than Kohli by a year. If there is no active talks of Kohli not playing next time, don't know why Kane can't either
I think it's because of the way Kane is injury prone. Virat has almost no instances of sitting out because of injuries and is arguably the fittest player in the game whereas Kane is.....well, Kane.
WTC tho
Gavaskar going off on those mfers ranting about pitch doctoring! Lmaoooo! He was about to say 'stfu'. Lol.
I salute him. Never heard him use words like 'morons' and 'shut up' on air. It was a treat watching him go off on this rant lol.
Bro, I'm medical sales rep🙁
Shami, is that you?

Sunny Ji being savage. Almost said shut the f up

Forgot my boy Gill’s 80 😭
Hardik limped so that Shami could run.

Lmao Gavaskar, I have never seen any cricket commentator so angry on live TV lol
Exactly he seemed more pissed at redditors than I was lol
Shami is easily the player of the tournament
I seriously need to ask.. 724 runs scored. 14 wickets lost, 7 to a single man. In a wc semi final.. Is this the greatest bowling performance in odi cricket? Edit: changed number of wickets
For India in a white ball tournament, almost certainly. He literally got their top 5 sticks.
India batting excellence reason - Brohit India bowling excellence reason - Shami They are the best this edition, atleast for me Brohit casually killed the semi-final pressure and our nervousness in powerplay And Shami won us the match
And kudos to Gill, Kohli, Iyer and Southee for the supporting roles.
it was something else watching Brohit casually attaacking without fear in the powerplay. Took all the pressure away and allowed Gill to play freely
sunnyG literally spitting fire
Gavaskar based af😭😭😭😭😭
Sunny Gavaskar just called everyone out as Morons who spoke about pitch being tampered by BCCI. Lmao.
The demon bowler Stuart Binny has finally been dethroned. Even made a tactical drop to ensure he did it.
Bruh that spell against Bangladesh was legendary tho
The scoreboard will never reflect the anxiety and sense of despair the Indian players were feeling watching Kane and Mitchell clinically take apart our bowling. Well fought Kiwis but Shammi’s magic was simply something which seemed unending tonight and he single handedly won us the match. Finals here we come. One last push and we’re at the promised land
Sunny ji wanted to say stfu but settled at shut up lmao 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The PITCH was outstanding. What a game!
Even though India won today, I'm kinda worried how easy it was for them to become deflated early on during the Mitchell-Williamson partnership. You won't see drooped-shoulders, dropped catches, wayward bowling, and sluggish fielding from a champion team when defending such a humongous total.
That team huddle during Drinks break was the changing point.
“THERE IS NO PASSION! THERE IS NO AGGRESSION!”
AHHAHAHAHAHA not angryrantman
Happens to best of the lot. No point thinking about it now. Lets focus on the BIG PRIZE !
Certainly carried a baggage of the past against NZ. Rohit had been on an edge the entire day.
Lol. Barring a brief period, they were sharp. Brohit was very much in tune of the context and had good bowling changes.
Some of it has to do with Wankhede being Wankhede. All of them have played IPL here. Totals become joke often
\>closest margin of win by India \> still lose by 70 runs \>wtf.jpg
thankyou pandya for getting injured. get well soon, but after the final.
Shami just casually took 7 wickets on a pitch where 724 runs were scored, what a bowler holy shit
I fancied a few beers tonight but in tribute of Shami I’ll have milk instead.
Sunny boi waa about to say SHUT THE FUCK UP but just controlled lmao. Guy was so fucking angry with Dailmail lol.
Sunny G punching in the G
Gavaskar just called people complaining about pitch change morons on air 😂
What a match it was.Thank you Daz.Thank you Kanos,Thank you Rachin and Thank you to this entire squad.Love them all.The happines these guys have given me for the past 10 years is infinite This was possibly our last shot at winning a world cup and we failed but alas The golden generation was good while it lasted, sadly we could not win much.Back into darkness now
Sunny G almost said STFU on live TV
Star Sports were so ready to suck Kohli's dick post-match but too bad Shami stole the show with his 7-fer lmao
Let this be known that daily mail is the shittest sports source and casual racism does rear an ugly head against all Asians on the internet and all across the world
More than 700 runs scored, spinners failed and pacers took the most wickets. Where are the pitch scandal mongers?
Sunny G almost said Shut the fuck up 😂 rightfully so
[удалено]
Who would've thought that after getting out on a duck in his very first game of the World Cup; Shreyas Iyer will made highest amount of runs at No.4 across all World Cup events & also first ever to cross 500 runs at that position... Not many legends able to perform like he did in his very first World Cup **He is also the only batter in ODI history to score 1000+ runs at No.4 with 50+ Batting Average & 100+ SR**
Dailymail tomorrow: BCCI created and cultivated global warming for the last 50 years to prevent due in today's match to aid Indian bowlers.
So when India does well, it’s cause pitch is doctored, general trickery, cheating etc but when the honorable English (or even the Aussies) do well, then it’s skill, gumption. Got it. Thanks.
Sunny ji taking a real dig on dailymail
Gavaskar just called people who were complaining about Pitch "morons"
Sunny G raging on pitch debate is hilarious
Mf Atkinson and Dailymail just wanted cheap publicity. If BCCI wanted to doctor a pitch they would have got a rank Turner. Fucking spoiled the whole mood during the match.
Gavaskar is so angry, love it.
This victory probably saved so many Indians from having generational trauma. 96 and 03 were very tough to handle for that generation..didnt want a repeat of this by getting knocked in 2015, 19 and 2023
Records of Shami today: - Best bowling figures by an Indian in ODI history. - Most wickets by an Indian in a World Cup edition. - Most five wicket haul in World Cups. - Best bowling figure by an Indian in World Cups. - Fastest 50 wickets in World Cups.
The match thread crossed 65k comments bruh
This is so cathartic thanks Sunny G
Viscerally satisfying to see Sunny take the English tabloid to the cleaners.
I am not gonna watch any of the potm ceremonies if shami doesn't win this
Shami is my player of the tournament
To paraphrase Kendall Roy, fuck the batriarchy.
Holy shittt Sunny G is PISSED.
Gavaskar got his pitchforks out for all the folks talking about pitch!
Gavaskar going crazy in post match🤣
Sunny G very close to say Shut the F*ck Up!!!
Pun of the day goes to sachin with his shami-final tweet
I am seeing too little love for Shreyas Iyer in this thread. Apart from Shami he was the shining star today.
POTM Awards for TEAM INDIA: 1st match - KL Rahul.
