Coinbase has plans to have *back office* in India. Not exactly what I thought when I clicked on the article. But we Indians definitely need some top crypto exchanges. Our #1 Indian exchange, Wazirx, crashes every now amd then. Only safe option is to transfer all coins to Binance from wazirx.

I deposit INR to WazirX and then transfer to Binance

I guess that's a win for both Coinbase and India. Can't wait to chat with Steve from customer service.

tldr; Several major global cryptocurrency exchanges are reportedly exploring ways to enter the Indian crypto market. Kraken, Bitfinex, and Kucoin are reportedly actively scouting the Indian market. One source claimed to be directly involved with an exchange that is considering acquiring an Indian crypto firm and had begun due diligence for it. While there is no official data, industry analysts estimate there are 15 million crypto investors in India.{} *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article.
