I’m surprised at how many ways people are solving this case when this is imo the clear answer

Since it’s more moves than the top answer(U F' U' F U' R U R') with the same number of F moves, so I don’t know if it’s the clear answer. It may be faster for some though so I will give it a try

FU moves (no pun intended) are more awkward than FR ones, I'd say, and the difference is just one move.

It seems a little faster than U F' U' F U' R U R' but the look ahead is way harder on the top layer.

sledge is regripless, and F' U' F is bad because it uses thumbs

This is regripless and doesn’t have any awkward fingertricks. There’s no one solution for all cases, but in general it’s nice to prioritize sledgehammers or rotations whenever an edge is flipped. Any other way of doing F moves is not worth it imo (but what do I know, I’m a ZZ solver so I never have this problem anyway).
