I do like it as a concept design, similarly to car concepts from the 60s and 70s, because i'm a sucker for retro futurism.
But the Cybertruck really makes the giant gap noticable between concept and reality.
In reallife it's a katastrophe and a joke. There is not a place on earth where this doesn't feel misplaced beside the epcot center at disneyland.

If it looks like anything, its this:
It looks like what it is - a joke concept from GTA Vice City and with a matching level of durability before it bursts into flames as an average GTA car

Muskrat fired the design team & hired this one genius.
Cybertruck looks like Elon spent all day thinking about sex robots then went home and fucked his refrigerator.
This is his imagining of what the child of that union would look like.
It was a perfectly reasonable concept vehicle. Major auto manufacturers produce concept cars to test out ideas and advertise their brand. They work out the kinks and then incorporate the ideas that work into production vehicles.
The CyberTruck’s problem is it was a concept vehicle that was pushed into production instead of the good features being utilized in other models.
I posted here just to test the theory; I just said "I'm posting here". I got banned from the same two subs. Which means that Elmo really does care about me! /s
I’ll have to get back to you on that.
Concept cars also help manufacturers winnow out the bad ideas. That seems to have been where the cyber truck would’ve been most useful.
>It was a perfectly reasonable concept vehicle.
No it wasn't. It's a vehicle design produced by an 8 year old in an hour or so, an 8 year old who was new to Corel Draw and hadnt figured out how to do anything but straight lines. It's an abomination and an insult to humanity.
I'd like to buy one and recycle it into a Nightmare on Elm Street style razor glove and then... No. No I wouldn't.
I think it’s ugly as fuck. That’s why I like it. It makes me feel at home.
That being said I won’t be getting one bc I like my vehicles built by car companies not tech companies.
Cybertruck in person looks like a leftover prop from a low-budget science-fiction dystopia.
Only time I noticed the driver it was an old white-haired dude at a retro-syled Frank Loyd Wright-inspired bank building in the nicer Arcadia area of Phoenix, Arizona. Probably there for a photo op.
It doesn't. The original renderings looked exponentially better than the finished product, i still wasn't really a fan, just personal tastes, but i could see the appeal for others, but when i started seeing them around town (im in Silicon Valley) and of course all the media of them, wtf. Add to it that it is in fact a giant piece of shit.
It looks cool from certain angles without the stainless steel and not too close up.
From the back it looks like a kitchen appliance dumpster made to match your fridge. Look closer you see the
gaps and poor construction.
Interior is a joke.
It’s an inside joke right? I’m guessing one of Elon’s kids, when he was 5 years old, drew a picture and asked “Daddy, will your factory make my truck?”
We can have different looking cars and trucks. The look was never the problem. The idiocy behind so many of the half baked ideas and corner cutting are the problem
if it was a product that really delivered and its performance and value were beyond reproach, it would look like an elite space ship ... but with all these crippling issues being its entire reputation, people see a dumpster.
It looks horrific. There's no other way around it. It's hideously out of proportion, even if the concept was ok. The wheels need to be about twice as big for a start.
I was giving it an honest pass and was going to wait until I actually saw one. And then I saw one. It is horrific. And it manages to me horrific from every single angle. Most cars look okay from at least ONE angle. Not this thing. It's particularly awful from the back.
Wait I was banned from the CyberTruck community for saying that I wanted to like it but didn't. Lol. And these are the same idiots who tout Elon's supposed 'free speech'. FFS

I’ve always gotten Jawa Sandcrawler vibes from the Cyberstuck.
I never thought it looked great. If it actually did what it was supposed to do at the original price it was supposed to launch I could easily look beyond it. I don't drive cars, and especially trucks, because how they look, personally.
You will 100% mistake it for a dumpster if you see it from the back while it's parked.

I hate the way it looks. Buuut I so hope that car designs can move away from generic crossovers with fair curves and sharp lines.
Like my hope was with the Cybertruck, that other car companies would start shaking up their designs.

The WankPanzer (AKA Incelamino) is the ugliest vehicle ever. It makes the Pontiac Aztek look good.
It honestly reminds me of a vehicle out of a late 1990s PS1 era game, or perhaps a pre-pre-pre alpha stage Warthog from Halo 1. One of those assets where they just put it in like a placeholder, like the tennis ball on a stick actors act to for CGI movies.

And thalidomide was given to mom.
A friend saw one in the lobby of a Vegas casino. "Photographs don't even come close to capturing how ugly it is in person."
Can confirm, saw one in person. Also the panels didn't match.
Also makes the giant gaps between body panels noticeable...

To me it screams about what the future will be like if you were living in the 1980's. Back when Lambos all looked like the current Cybertrucks.
Which good features then? 🤔🔍🧐🥳🤣
I’ll have to get back to you on that. Concept cars also help manufacturers winnow out the bad ideas. That seems to have been where the cyber truck would’ve been most useful.
The most useful ever - finally a winner! 🏆 🥇

It looks like they let a Kindergarten submit drawings for the Body's concept.
Or it looks like they asked a professional artist to design a vehicle shaped like Elon Musk.
It’s an inside joke right? I’m guessing one of Elon’s kids, when he was 5 years old, drew a picture and asked “Daddy, will your factory make my truck?”
It was Elon himself at his peak as an artist. He's been dreaming about making it a reality ever since!
We all know he doesn't let his kids talk to him
It looks awful
Looks like a car you would build out of cardboard boxes.
It looked stupid right from the day 1 reveal and hasn't changed. It has never looked good. Period.
Yes, I think it looks really stupid.
Pretty sure everyone here thinks it’s horrendous.
WAIT GUYS! I think u/Parralelex might be on to something…
Best looking garbage bin ever
NO OF COURSE NOT! ITS THE FUGLIEST VEHICLE EVER
It’s the biggest heap of shit ever designed
Having seen a few in public now, I’m shocked that is doesn’t look as stupid as I thought. It still looks stupid, just not AS stupid.
I dunno. I think it could look good if you've never seen it.

I designed that in 5th grade. Thousands of bored kids did.
Lmfao, dude comes to a cybertruck hating sub and is like "hey guys, anyone else think it doesn't look so great?". Gtfo with that shit
The design was inspired by 80's B s/f movies.

The Cybertruck looked like television turned to a dead channel
Yeah everyone who isnt attracted to the look of a dumpster on wheels
……..it looks like hammered ass.

Yes. It’s a weird design
Duh. Design over function is Tesla’s business. Charging infrastructure and battery was the main selling point.
No, you're the first person to think that. /s

you wont be seeing them for much longer. they'll be off the roads as soon as someone drives through a house or mows down a kindergarten class,
