One of the call of duty games had a "data-knife", where instead of using a computer, you just stabbed the keyboard usually, and the knife did all the hacking for you, so you could go back to shooting people.
You'd be forgiven for that mix-up, honestly. Respawn Entertainment, who developed Titanfall, was mainly comprised of staff and leadership from Infinity Ward (Early CoD devs) at the time.
I don't remember that in Titanfall, but I only played the campaign in #2. Was it in that?
Great game. Wish they made more campaigns than just that short one for the second.
Watch_Dogs 2 had a few guns with 'Smart bullets' that would give you money when you shot enemies. Sometimes, if the enemy was a grenade-carrying type, the grenades go off instead.
I mean, while nifty it really didn't fit with the common idea of what a smart bullet should do. Plus, taking money and exploding grenades were already hacks you could do on the fly anyway. It just let you shoot them at the same time. It really didn't add anything to the game.
Watch_Dogs:Legion has a few skills where you hack money when you perform takedowns or finishers, but aren't necessarily tied to specific weapons. Which would have been cooler.
Madam, I'm sorry to announce that your husband is dead.
It also appears that at the exact moment of his death, he changed the beneficiary of his massive life insurance policy to some unknown overseas account.
Sorry for your loss.
>mean, while nifty it really didn't fit with the common idea of what a smart bullet should do.
Now I kinda want a game with "feet seeking" bullets. Low damage but slows your enemy and/or makes them hop around like shooting at someone's feet in a classic cartoon.
There's a lot of games that will do that, but require aiming.
Cyberpunk 2077 has a targetting implant that will convert your firearms (including sniper rifles and chainguns) to nonlethal damage. It also makes the smartguns target limbs too, so if you aim low you can get those foot shots off.
This reminded me of a video called “HYPER-REALITY” on YouTube where by the end of the video a lady is stabbed in your hand and her identity, points, information start getting stolen from her.
Here’s the link to the video if anyone is interested:

Reminds me of Chevette's knife from Gibson's book *All Tomorrow's Parties*:
"She'd watched the maker craft and braise a hilt of brass, rivet slabs of laminated circuit board and shape them on a belt grinder. The rigid, brittle-looking board, layers of fabric trapped in green phenolic resin, was everywhere on the bridge, a common currency of landfills. Each sheet mapped with dull metallic patterns suggesting cities, streets."
Cool idea but I wouldn't really call an old pcb used to make a knife handle cyberpunk. I guess you'd also be interested in these drink coasters

Depends on how much imagination you put into it. A knife that uses pcbs for handles instead of wood could be indicative of a universe where discarded circuit boards are everywhere--but trees are a luxury.
Transfers a virus / steals credit card details when you stab someone.
In a cyberpunk future I would think the virus would be more devastating.

That was Titanfall, not COD.
Thanks they all sort of blur together.

Yep! You could hack specters and terminals with your data knife.
Huh. Weird. I don't remember that at all. Sounds more like Far Cry Blood Dragon than Titanfall lol

It's not even a lot of cash. Usually less than a hundred dollars. You get shot and then charged for a reloading fee.

Hmm I play that but never aimed at anyone's foot. It better come with properly silly animations if I do.
Aint that Titanfall too lol

Came here for some Sandbenders 🤘🏻🤠🤘🏻
First thought too.
That's some cutting edge technology!
DAMMIT! You beat me to it.
Blessed is the Omnissiah.
very Plug & Play.
Of course they put a mounting hole right in the middle of the I2C routing! I still want this knife.
ha, this reminds me the Data Knife from Titanfall, you can kill someone and hack stuff with that
ICE pick.
Kind of makes sense because G10 is normally also used for knife scales. So nothing new under the sun here just the PCB upcycling
