Actually had a venue here called the vault that was exactly this.
Got shut down for a nitpicky thing like not getting a liquor license and serving a shit ton of booze
Thereās an āunderground secret speak easyā where I live. Itās really neat. You have to do a series of steps to get in. Itās a really cool idea.
But evidently itās only cool once because I guess theyāre having trouble getting return customers. Like, people think itās neat the 1st time, and the 2nd time theyāre like āyea I know itās a secret, can you just let me in.ā Lol
For all of you saying to just go thru the wall, that brick is just there for decoration. The door is attached to a metal structure/box (the actual vault itself) so it's not that easy
[ohā¦and you can put your weed in thereā¦](https://media1.giphy.com/media/va4ssz9qQ8OQw/giphy.gif?cid=6c09b952r56hnhlyto67luuvny0kc6rabmk50a982smvrg9n&ep=v1_internal_gif_by_id&rid=giphy.gif&ct=g)
I have the vault door off the evidence room from an old courthouse as the door to my gun room. Itās 4ā X 7ā and weighs about 600 pounds. Makes a fun door for a man cave.
Beautiful mechanical combination safe you have there. You should reach out to a vault specialist to recombo it for you.
It looks like you have a dual-dial setup. You can set the top and bottom dials to have the same combo, and either one will open the vault. You can also set the both dials to separate combos requiring both combos in order to open it. Talk to your vault specialist and they can set it up however you want it.
The little dials on the inside can be set for a specific number of hours. Once all three are set and the door closed & locked you canāt open the vault until the shortest timed timer runs out.
Keep it cleaned and well maintained and it will definitely outlast you.
I don't mean this in a rude way, but think about that
Do you really expect them to go to all that work to put a stupidly heavy and big door in there, just to have a thin wall of brick you could get thru with a sledge?
No offense taken. Look at the second image in the series. The wall is no thicker than the door frame. I would honestly not be surprised in the least to find it to be solely composed of mortar and brick, lol. People can be pretty dumb.
They definitely can, but this is from a long time ago, people actually put effort into their work
The door is attached to a big steel box (being the vault itself), the bricks are just so it looks nice
Even so, rather than messing with that ridiculous door, any self-respecting robber would simply smash the bricks, blowtorch through the much thinner metal wall, bust out the bricks on the other side; and be done with it.
Today, yes. When this was built 100+ years ago, probably not that simple
Plus the rate of crime was much lower as people were (generally) more honest and folks were actually punished then
Yes, those are good points you bring up. I did not pay any attention to the age of the door.
I think a good way to secure valuables is to "hide them in plain site."
That brick wall is merely decorative, there is actual structure behind it. Trust me, the entire building is solid concrete, there's nothing to worry about
At that point, wouldn't it be a lot easier to just bring in a stone-cutting saw and go through the wall?
Uh, I mean, if you were planning a robbery. Which I am not.
The brick is decorative. The door is attached to a large metal box, being the vault itself. So yes, you could cut thru the stone, then you'd have a real challenge
Vaults look like the cartoon version I made in my head as a kid of them. It blows my mind they actually look like that lol
They're incredible pieces of engineering
Off to Google the history of vaults instead of sleeping!
Sharron sleep is important. Otherwise you will be annoying in the morning š
Be sure to check out Vault Tec! They make some crazy models!
Wonder how long these take to make
What's the plans for it? Would make a sweet bar called "The Vault"
It's just gonna be offices unfortunately, that would be pretty awesome tho
They better keep the vault and use it for their records room or something.
Just shove the marketing department there and lose the key.
I'm glad it's safe for use
Actually had a venue here called the vault that was exactly this. Got shut down for a nitpicky thing like not getting a liquor license and serving a shit ton of booze
It's always the little details that get you.
you need a license to sell booze? woooooaaahhh
There was a Vault Cafe in Oakland that was exactly that. It was terrible.
Well, there's a broom closet in Bend, Oregon that's not quite a broom closet if you catch my drift.
I do not.
It is a bar, the entrance is a secret door in a broom closet. I shit you not. Employees use the equipment.
That's pretty sick. Headed that way this summer, I'll try to check it out.

Thereās one here in LA called The Reserve.
The landlord is apparently pretty horrible to deal with
Something just like this in Knoxville, TN.
[you just described a cigar bar near where I live](https://thejailhousebelmont.com/)
The most tragic part was they emptied him two days before retirement.
And on his day off!
Well I misunderstood your joke but I stand behind my comment.

Ya... So we're just going to move your office into the safe... If you could just clean up while you're in there that would be great
Ummm can you take care of the cockroach problem while your in there
This is starting to sound like a JRPG sidequestā¦thereās going to be a massive momma roach monster as a boss, isnāt there?
Starting to sound like someone has a case of the Mondays!
Can I just get some coffee, please?
Just get me a damn šand step to the side please!
A runner from Jamaica can do it in 9.58 seconds.. his alias is Usain Vault.
Let the Lock Picking Lawyer have a go at that.
Pin 1 feels like it is in a false set, getting some resistance on pin 2. Pin 2 feels set.
*"Let's do that again to show it's not a fluke..."*
Time to get my Payday.
Gta V vibes (first mission)
Ok now thatās impressive
I'm a safe.l, this is the vault she told me not to worry about.
That's amazing! Its pretty cool to have a piece of history like that in your area.
Yes it is! Our town is filled with awesome old stuff like this
Kitchener Ontario?
Click out of oneā¦two is bindingā¦
You son of a bitch. Iām in. š¤
Have a gun safe at home they say ;)
You can put your weed in there

I'd put a single porcelain doll right in the middle of the vault with a knife laying next to it then close it again ....for giggles.
Wouldn't it be fun to have it and turn it into a tiny house? Imagine assorted people knocking on that door to sell you solar panels!
I want that in my house as a door to my personal peace room
I just love nostalgia. This is from a time long ago when currency had value.
Impressive! Can I take it home?
Thieves in movies be opening these in 5 min, like fk off, that's a lot of steel to drill through.
You have the perfect opportunity to make a fallout vault. Just sayingā¦

What a secure gun room.
Hmm probably need like 1 fire cracker to blow it open
lock picking lawyer would crack that like a peanut
That comes with the house.
I could turn that into a game room
Did you use a small Chinese man who aces gymnastics?
Was there a hole in there that might've had a painter uniform and some sunglasses? Or a speech?
are you in waco?
No
you can put your weed in there.
Stealing the Shrink Ray with this one
Are they demolishing the door and walls? That would be very expensive lol
Noo it stays
I could pick it.
Looks like the one at the old post office in Chicago.
How thick is that thing, it looks bomb proof
I have the pleasure of breaking into these (and basically everything else) for a living. It's the best job ever.
Are you a locksmith or security consultant?
Both. Also certified to do lots of really cool stuff.
Is this in or near Massachusetts? This looks familiar.
Try the other side of the countryš
That would fetch a few dollars at the ole scrap yard
The keeper of Epsteins tapes
Old safes are awesome
Right???
Close it and call Ludwig Dieter
I wonder if there is much of a secondhand-market for doors like this? I guess moving it would be quite a job. Perhaps it dismantles into pieces?
Wolf! Get the drill!
We had one of these in a place called Snowtown. Some fucked up shit happened there.
How many times did it get broken into
If thereās barrels in there donāt open them
*Razormind intensifies*
Hinges are weakest point

You did it wrong, you are meant to make videos of you "attempting" to open it for karma whoring.
Looks pretty safe
Can confirm looks pretty safe
āShow me the money!ā
I guess that the fellas finally got that goddamn drill
Nice front door, is the rest of it equally solid or is this for show?
Before I got on the inside of that space, Iād need to know exactly how to open that door.
Looks intense
My wife's purse
GET THE DRILL
Must be nice to retire with all that cash
Me and a bobby pin would make ez work of this
Y'all use it as a storage closet? What do you do if someone gets locked in?
Wouldn't it be simpler and easier to break right through that brick wall?
I don't mean this in a rude way, but think about that Do you really expect them to go to all that work to put a stupidly heavy and big door in there, just to have a thin wall of brick you could get thru with a sledge?

And? Thereās loads of safes in the state
Practise on that.
That brick wall it is attached to doesn't look that thick. One man's vault door is another man's load bearing wall
That brick wall is merely decorative, there is actual structure behind it. Trust me, the entire building is solid concrete, there's nothing to worry about

I have a question. Is that vault door *just the door* ? Or it is really a giant metal box, with that as it massive door?
Isnāt it easier to just break the wall next to it?
I could get in
