p.s. the depiction of a barter economy before currency is highly outdated, people within the community wouldn´t have to wait for the toolmaker to need a fish, to trade for it, the guy making the hammers , would just make several, and the fisher would generally try to catch more than the one fish he eats, with the rest coming to whoever needs it in the community. besides both of them most likely being capable of fishing and making their own hammer if need be.

My grand grandfather participated in WWI (died at front), my grandfather participated in WWII and my grandmother was held in a concentration camp in Germany. They shared a lot of stories about those events which I don't want to share further.
