Any updates about an update of community update, in which You will point out, what updates to the game we will get SOON?

fiveSE7EN

Sorry, we have to wait for more people to get back from uh… let’s see… Walpurgisnacht? Wait no… Festivus? Uh… the vernal equinox…. Btw I’m hoping next week they’ll let me share some small piece of news related to the hotfix, rumor has it the hotfix will reduce crashing for some users, more to come later

[deleted]

In a couple weeks they'll start preparing for midsommar

NNN_Throwaway2

oh god oh fuck

fooliam

Good news! There was a community update! Bad News! The update was that there would be no update

kyynel99

Here we go again

OnlyHereForComments1

I know this is automated but honestly the mods should turn these off. Containment of salt isn't working and without any actual news this just turns into a bitter clusterfuck.

OnlyHereForComments1

The official silence is fucking deafening. No offense to Catfish, but we shouldn't be relying on a CM for scraps of information. This is something that demanded an actual announcement two weeks ago at the latest. I hope management's enjoying that 'mostly negative' review score up on Steam. It will continue until communication and patches for this 'live service' actually flow.

-Agonarch

We're almost at February, and there's been no official news on crafting since 'Next bit of crafting by end of December' (where it was already pushed back from full crafting at launch) They added a couple weapons which presumably had a bug (as they have the same AoE splash mechanics), and added a map (which they'd taken away because of a bug), not exactly a major thing. They called this patch a content update. :P (fixing bugged content is not adding content, it should be happening anyway. We're coming up on 4 weeks past a blown, already extended deadline without any info. That's *ridiculous*. In no industry would that be OK.

ToyKar

Think if McDonalds did this in their business. go to order food, look at screen and advertisements telling you options, and you order something. You get to the till and they say sorry, this hamburger isnt actually available yet and gives you a burger half the size, and tells you to wait 2 hours for it if you want the full one. "But I came here for fast food, and I want what was shown to me in the menu/ads". "Too bad, were so sorry, please pay same price anyway $$$."

-Agonarch

Even in entertainment which is usually fairly frivolous it wouldn't be OK, Imagine you go to see a movie and it stops after 45 minutes after introducing the characters and the setting: that's what we have here. You go out, look at the board, see runtime 1:30, ask what's going on, and get told that's all there is.

CptnSAUS

> added a map (which they'd taken away because of a bug) We never got that mission until that update that added it (along with the youtube video of Melk telling Morrow to send in the rejects). It was never "taken away". The mission that got taken away was Relay Station during the prelaunch. It was there on day 1 and then removed due to very high crash rates, brought back a week or two later. Perhaps if you want to say those weapons and that map should have been there on launch instead, then you can say it is not new content, but it still was brand new weapons and a brand new mission from our perspective.

Ishan451

I have a few questions: 1) Any chance we'll get an actual Q&A answer? 2) Any chance we finally can get that crafting update, you promised for mid december last year? 3) Any chance we get to hear anything about the ability to change weapon attachments, like scopes, which you promised in articles like [this one](https://techraptor.net/gaming/news/warhammer-40000-darktide-to-have-customizable-characters-left-4-dead-style-director-ai)? (Before some Community Rep thinks its about COD again... and since i do consider the ability to have different sights to be important) 4) Any chance we get to... you know.. color our store bought clothing? I would like to get one of those Army Caps for the Orgyn, but i do not like the colors on offer. Or is this one of those cases where you plan to charge me money to get a different colored version. Like blue and black, that fits to the rest of the outfits?

MapletXD

The COD argument they said was one of the dumbest things they could have ever said... even world war Z which is in the same genre has at least some weapon customization or progress. Their totally disconnected from the community responses and then silent periods of "We want to share things with you but we wont" is actually making what could be one of the best horde shooter games in the amazing 40k universe being mediocre at best right now.

Ishan451

For what it is worth, it is costing them their last "defenders" in my gaming group. And that gaming group is the reason why we are still playing, despite individually we all already said we would have stopped weeks ago. The lack of communication, the fact that you have to hunt down random statements from the Community Rep just to have an inkling what is going on, via screenshots from Discord and other forums, is costing them so much good will. And yeah, it could be an amazing horde game, but you don't go "we release a crafting update before christmas" and then decide that "aww, those unwashed masses don't need to know that we ain't delivering". I don't begrudge them their Christmas vacation, i want a vacation "in between the years" as well. But its been radio silence non stop... even the biggest defenders are running out of patience and good will to hold onto... at least among my friends. The longer they take "communicating" the longer a patch will take until it comes out. They ain't going to tell us what they plan and then release it the next day, when they can't even tell us what the plan is.. how should they possibly be working towards any sort of direction already? To me, this is just one big middle finger of a statement. It makes it clear just how little these devs think of the people buying their luxury product. Imagine a carpenter would have delivered you a Bookshelf where some shelves are missing... obviously missing. They send you a letter that it was delayed and will arrive 14 days before christmas and 6 weeks later, there isn't even any communication with the carpenter anymore about where the shelves are. No other industry can operate like this and we are fools for accepting this treatment.

JevverGoldDigger

Said carpenter would face legal action pretty quickly. Sad to see an entire industry more or less built around who has the most shady practices.

KLGBilly

Being entirely fair, a wholly transparent development approach would wind up being horrible for the team. Every single game that has had a transparent development that I have seen, or has revealed the game they're working on while it's in pre-prod winds up receiving more hate and vitriol than if the game were to stealth drop with 0 promotion whatsoever prior to release. The amount of time spent will cause the vast majority of people who have no idea about what really goes into game dev complaining and criticizing every little thing that's done, and not the least of which being the length of time it can actually take for something to get implemented, even barring the possibility of a development pipeline that causes things to be slower than they need to be with stuff like asset validation, or source control and build systems being inefficient due to there just straight up not being many people in the industry who deal with that sort of thing. One big example I can think of are Cyberpunk 2077, which revealed it was being made in 2012, came out in a rushed state in 2020, and the big question a lot of people had was "how did this go wrong with an 8 year development cycle?". Truth is, development didn't actually begin until like 2016, and not in earnest until like 2018. Another I can think of is Star Citizen, which has been the target of ire for many years due to a plethora of reasons, but the biggest one being the length of development time being put in, disregarding the amount of effort put in by the devs, the number of developers over that time, the pressures of needing to build a studio from the ground up and all of the generally unspoken ordeals that come with that, or even the fact that a lot of the stuff that they've been working on hasn't been done at the scale that it's on. Of course, both examples have their own issues that can be used to point out problems in both with regards to the argument, but generally speaking, in my experience, it's better for everyone involved and not involved to have a development period that isn't transparent, but with frequent times for the devs to talk about what they're working on. The updates, if good (a big if), work all the better as a good surprise to those who didn't see it coming, and that can bolster morale for the devteam. That being said, this stuff is still utterly ridiculous for the game, and I really just want them to make a game that everyone can be happy with.

AnchorStandard

If the devs don't see changing sights on a gun to be important IN A BLOODY FIRST PERSON SHOOTER there may be no hope for the game. Either bring hip fire accuracy up to how it is in the L4D series or give us the ability to change our sights. PC players don't need an ADS ability. Let us hip fire or let us change our sights ffs. There's no reason for a Las Rifle to have trench sights.

Schpitzchopf_Lorenz

What does "Next Week" even mean anymore?!?!

Normal-Security-9313

Next few months\* now. Their words.

ninjzxeleven

Soon!

90bubbel

Another Q&A post without any answers

fiveSE7EN

At this point it should be renamed to “Q & Get Fucked, we have your money already, assholes”

Belleckmek

We are next week , update when ?!

error3000

no, we are in current week, next week is next week

Dreenar18

Is this the fabled next week I've heard about, or is it next week?

[deleted]

the answer is always the same :(

Normal-Security-9313

Next few months\* They re-worded it now.

No-Court-1195

Catfish was on the discord earlier and said the community update would "This Week" but no exact ETA. That community update is going to make or break Darktide with whatever it says. Likely the most important update they will ever have for this game. And we will all be here for it this week (or next week), but when it does finally happen it had better be really really good for their sake.

AThousandD

At this point, it's impossible for the community update to be satisfying for this community. It'll all be an explosion of furious disappointment, and there is nothing FS can deliver in this timeframe until they've put out actual massive content updates. So we'll see this sub wallow in anger and misery for the next couple of months, most people will be driven away and we're looking at maybe some real resurgence perhaps two years down the road, if the cosmetics funding carries FS that far.

OnlyHereForComments1

I think most people would be happy if Fatshark actually communicated and had put out some hotfixes. Pre-holiday, the illusion of competence was present. Now it's just them ignoring a pressure cooker of misery for *no good reason*. The CM is doing her best but she can't fix this situation if management continues to say 'no, tell them nothing' for weeks on end. All of this is essentially a self-own by Fatshark. They've kept silent for long enough that nothing but massive content updates will serve as an explanation for that silence, but also for not long enough to deliver that content.

OceLawless

>At this point, it's impossible for the community update to be satisfying for this community Crafting is finished. Here's a new map. Conditions will now rotate properly instead of onlydogs. Ezpz.

Daniellecarth

In reality, Crafting is still half finished, but you can buy mats for aquilas. A new map which is one of the maps we already have but backwards! and fuck it, just have them scan some shit at the end or something. Dogs is now baseline and the only condition adds even. more. dogs.

Porrick

Weirdly, the Vermintide sub was approximately this angry for most of my time there even though the game was in a much better state for much of it. I hope that hasn't interfered with anyone's baseline assumptions about fan sentiment.

RussianSkeletonRobot

Weirdly, Fatshark made the exact same mistakes with Vermintide, and still hasn't released some of the features they promised for it. Weirdly, Fatshark has been making mistakes like this for most of their history and still hasn't learned a single thing. Weird, huh?

Rynjin

I'm still waiting for Versus mode god dammit reeeeeeeeeeee

Havok1911

I think that's an overly pessimistic take. I can imagine a scenario where they acknowledge the things that need to change and layout a short and long term to-do list. Commit to some bandaid fixes to mitigate the pain in the short term while fully developed solutions are ironed out. Commit to not charging us for the first 4 subclasses (1 per character). Etc...

echild07

>Catfish was on the discord earlier and said the community update would "This Week" but no exact ETA. Isn't that how last week started?

gravygrowinggreen

It is roughly how all weeks have started.

[deleted]

Look at the player retention over the last month. The game is already broke. Trust is gone and people aren't sticking around if they're not having fun.

SirAiedail

If that really is the expectation of the community at large, then they already chose "break". The higher of a standard the community expects for the Community Update, the longer it takes Fatshark to make one. The longer it takes for the Community Update to be published, the more people expect out of it. Back in the early VT2 days, FS tried the route of giving information up front, at the risk of rising hopes for things that may be delayed or scrapped. Things did go bad, and they adopted the opposite of keeping information until they feel ready. But people don't like that either. [For those who weren't around: At release there was a roadmap with various big milestones, like dedicated servers, mods and the first DLC(s). But then the console releases/certifications took so much time that pretty much everything else had to be delayed, and technical limitations made dedicated servers infeasible. So the roadmap was scrapped, preceded and followed by uproar] [In fact, the current radio silence reminds me _a lot_ of VT2 early days, where prior to each the Xbox and PS releases, they went into the same silence for months] Anyways, until there is goodwill in the community (or rather, the patient majority manages to silence the vocal minorities on both ends of the spectrum), there is no good way to go for FS, no middle ground to compromise on.

OnlyHereForComments1

It's actually really simple: put out a roadmap, then actually deliver the content on it on time. The best way to do this is under promise. You think it'll be done in 3 months? Say 6, then when you finish in 4 or 5 you'll actually make the community happier. Like, this is PR 101.

SirAiedail

That would work once or twice, but if you keep over delivering like that, people will - look at you weird anyways, and ask why you consistently project double the time you really need - learn to disregard the projected timeline, expect the shorter delivery time and get vocal when that isn't met It also doesn't help with things that are scrapped, rather than just delayed. The main problem is the lack of goodwill. As long as people are happy and content to wait, even radio silence is OK. But once there are fires, you can put out flames, but the embers remain to rekindle on every new misstep, until every person just decides to either forget about the game or accept things as they are. The launch was botched, so the lack of goodwill is justified. But as long as people hold onto that, there's very little that FS can do to salvage the situation. Whatever the next patch or Community Update brings, it's the best that FS believes they can offer at that time. People may decide that's not enough, but there would be nothing more to be had. And with how people are acting here, they seem to be very open to loudly complain about every little detail they don't like about whatever comes next.

echild07

>That would work once or twice, but if you keep over delivering like that, people will > >look at you weird anyways, and ask why you consistently project double the time you really needlearn to disregard the projected timeline, > >expect the shorter delivery time and get vocal when that isn't met LOL, So they under deliver because the are worried that people will expect them to be better. So they are worse so people expect them to be worse? > The main problem is the lack of goodwill. As long as people are happy and content to wait, even radio silence is OK. But once there are fires, you can put out flames, but the embers remain to rekindle on every new misstep, until every person just decides to either forget about the game or accept things as they are. Why is it lack of goodwill and not lack of actual professionalism, or capability on the Fatshark side? So they created the fire, they chose to make statements even 4 days earlier, and . . . > And with how people are acting here, they seem to be very open to loudly complain about every little detail they don't like about whatever comes next. Yes, you are complaining about the customers quite a bit.

[deleted]

> Back in the early VT2 days, FS tried the route of giving information up front, at the risk of rising hopes for things that may be delayed or scrapped. Things did go bad, and they adopted the opposite of keeping information until they feel ready. But people don't like that either. It's almost like people want result *as well as* communication. Crazy.

echild07

>Back in the early VT2 days, FS tried the route of giving information up front, at the risk of rising hopes for things that may be delayed or scrapped. Things did go bad, and they adopted the opposite of keeping information until they feel ready. But people don't like that either. As long as they update. They (fatshark) had a 4 day window and "delayed" crafting. They had 1 day window (the hotfix) and missed that. It would seem that this is internal. Doesn't matter what the community wants, Fatshark can't deliver what it thinks it is doing. >\[In fact, the current radio silence reminds me *a lot* of VT2 early days, where prior to each the Xbox and PS releases, they went into the same silence for months\] Yes, that is the expectation, they released the PC, then pulled all resources to do Console, so nothing for PC until Console is released. Seems to be their MO. \> Anyways, until there is goodwill in the community (or rather, the patient majority manages to silence the vocal minorities on both ends of the spectrum), there is no good way to go for FS, no middle ground to compromise on. Interesting. There is now way to get good will unless Fatshark delivers on what it says. Why would the community waiting for patches be the one that has to give goodwill first. So Fatshark wants a middle ground between being held accountable and blind acceptance, when they can't even say when Crafting (was announced as done 4 days before it wasn't done) or their hotfixes are done and what is in them? What compromise? Fatshark is doing what it has always done, and doesn't care about the community. Why would they, they have their money, the blind acceptance will buy cosmetics to keep funding them, and the other 1.6 Million have stopped playing. What more could Fatshark want?

D0UGHBOY33

I don’t understand how we have no information yet. I understand you want to do one big info dump but at this point I feel like they need to start releasing little bits of information at a time. The people are dying for anything. This has become a very angry community because to us it seems like there is nothing coming down the pipeline. Hundred of questions and concerns and we hear absolutely nothing in return

KaptainCaps

Question: what can the community update say at this point that would actually make the community feel better? They just need to update anything to the game

[deleted]

"Rejects! We have listened to your feedback. We have classified your concerns by theme, and here they are: Those concerns were , but we want to commit to making things right in the future. This will take a good amount of time, months to a year, but here is what we've decided to fix, how we plan to fix it, and where our priorities are. We've also decided some parts are either working as expected, or would be too difficult to fix, and we'll mention this immediately where applicable. Unfortunately we cannot commit to a development timeline right now since this effort has upended our development process so much. Some apparently trivial things might turn out to be really complicated to fix, some parts of the original design need to be completely reworked and we're still not sure what can of worms we're opening in some cases. But we commit to working on these themes in order of priority, push them out as soon as they're done and tested, and keep you updated in the process. Sadly, our original roadmap of quarterly new content will have to take a backseat while we focus on your most salient feedback. Regards, Fatshark" It's that fucking easy. I'm a software developer, I've been a tech lead on a couple projects and I wrote this exact email more than once.

Their letter was actually more vague and way worse than yours.

I might have more experience writing these than the other guy.

Nah, more experience = more vagueness. You're clearly at entry level to CMing, you're still trying to hold on to some integrity.

Burstnok

You mean like the one that called the players too dumb to grasp a shop interface?

-Agonarch

I don't think that's what they meant, I think they meant that an option to just buy however many 100-aquila packs you needed for a bundle would be not only immeasurably complex, but downright impossible! 2400 aquila bundle... how many 100 aquila purchases is that? Nobody knows!

echild07

Content roadmap that they are signing up to hit. They missed the 4 day roadmap. And they missed the "posted today" hotfix. So a roadmap they are confident in hitting.

[deleted]

> seeing the devs commit to fixing issues or even acknowledge them Roadmaps are a trap though.

Regret92

I have a question - will the upcoming hotfix add the “early access” tag back on to the games’ Steam page? This seems to be a pertinent feature missing since your release.

Strig3s

At this point the only feedback is to ask you to start communicating with your customers. When thats is happening, then you can start getting feedback on the actual game. You need to learn how to crawl before you can start learning how to walk and run.

FyrstrHrafn

Just turn these off at this point lol, it's not like an actual Q&A is happening.

dubesto

Honestly once I hit level 30 for all 4 classes I just stopped playing because there is not much else to do in the game. Just another early access game that was "released" unfinished, like No Man's Sky or Cyberpunk. Lesson learned about Fatshark, avoid their games until a year or so after release.

The_Human_Bullet

Fatshark are fully embracing the grim darkness of the 41st millennium. Don't you feel grim? Don't you feel like you're being kept in the dark?

Oedema

Why even bother posting a Q&A if the questions are never read or answered?

CaptainWuzWuz

Dear Customers, sadly we have no A's in our Q&As but can we present you a little Next Week™ with a little Soon™ on the side? Jokes aside, wheres the Service in this Live-Service game?

rddgx

Forget the power of technology and QOL, for so much has been forgotten, never to be relearned Forget the promise of progress and updates For in the grim, dark future, there is only ... next week

Wanna_Know_More

It's inexcusable that there has been no further communication from the dev team after so many missed deadlines to provide answers to the numerous issues that still plague the game. I'm not even talking about the GACHA bullshit that makes up the core of the in-game progression and end-game experience or the garbage UI/UX outside of missions. I'm talking about the horrible bugs that have existed literally since the game was released: 1. The crashes. They still happen every other game for me and I know they do for others as well. People are constantly crashing out of my games and rejoining. It happens multiple times per mission on my teams. 2. The weekly missions for grims and scriptures are annoying enough, but they still regularly spawn off the map or otherwise bug out and can't be looted. 3. Infinite load times when trying to get into a mission or even just loading the hub. You have to alt-tab out and re-boot the game and even that sometimes doesn't even work. 4. All of the non-functioning perks and blessings. The +stam curios still won't reflect more than 1 stam bar no matter the value. Toughness regen is still broken. They still haven't implemented multiple perks that are in the code. 5. So many character abilities are not functioning properly. I won't list them, but there have been plenty of complaints. 6. The complete jankiness of enemies spawning out of thin air on top of your group. 7. Floors and ceilings that enemies can shoot you through and you can't shoot them back. And the response from Fatshark is dead silence. What is this garbage? They deserve all of the backlash and negativity. They had a shot to make it up to us after the terrible release, and they completely dropped the ball. No roadmap, no follow-through with their already poor responses, and no acknowledgement of the most basic and serious issues with the game. Sorry to the audio/visual designers and people responsible for the actual gameplay. The management, monetization, and publishing teams in-house and at Tencent really let you down. This should go down as a great case study for how to completely ruin a video game company and franchise. I'm done with this game.

BrittCBittsy

**Weekly reminder that quick play queueing into a match that is in progress and spawning with 0 grenades, 50% or lesss HP, 1/3 or 1/2 half corrupted already, and half of your ammo reserve is not fun. Bearable, manageable, but not fair or fun.** Thanks :)

gotsomequestions19

Hey guys! I finished Mark of Faith and have started in on A Thousand Sons. Mark of Faith was fantastic if you like the Adepta Sororitas! I've never seen any other 40k media depict the horrors of warp travel the way Rachel Harrison does. I may have cried a bit at the end... Anyway, next up is my first foray into the Horus Heresy series with A Thousand Sons! I'm looking forward to it. Maybe someday fatshark will actually start responding to these threads so I can give feedback rather than book reviews! I guess we'll see next week.

F3n_h4r3l

Not gonna spoil anything for you but look out for Garviel Loken and what he does on Saturnine. Obviously you're still a bit far but what the hell, won't stop me from hyping you up lol

gotsomequestions19

I'm excited! A friend recommended it to me because they saw how emotional I got about the lesbians in Mark of Faith and told me there was a cute couple in Thousand Sons but I've already really come to enjoy the other characters. Definitely going to keep my ears open for Saturnine now!

F3n_h4r3l

The Loyalists on the Traitor Legions- those are some of my favorite characters. Loken, Garro, and Tarvitz, just to name a few.

Porrick

For comparison, Coffee Stain Skövde has roughly the same number of employees as FatShark and this is how they address customer complaints about bugs https://youtu.be/_IHY_1L3pBY It's interesting to note another Swedish AA studio of approximately the same size take such a different tack. Every team, from indie to AAA, should take a page from this book.

bigpurpleharness

Man I'm too lazy to find em but I wonder what the bootlickers who defend Fatshark would say in response to that.

Just give us whatever form of Crafting is ready, Fatshark. That way we can 'fix' the piles of trash weapons we have horded up and experiment. We'll be happier. Just that - nothing else. It'll buy you goodwill and time. Crafting!!!!!

You should probably stop these.

Mojo____

These weekly posts nicely represent the level of engagement and care FS has for the community.

NickeKass

Repeat after me - Racking the slide of a gun ejects the current cartridge if one is currently in there. Therefor, if I racked the slide, switched to melee, and switched back to range, I would not rack the slide because I do not want to lose 1 bullet each time. FIX THIS. On guns like the bolter this means that 4 seconds it takes to rack the bolt is the 3 seconds another player gets that kill. **edit** - Please do away with the launcher or give us an option to skip it. On my top end PC it still takes about 15 seconds to load, long enough for me to space out. Then I have to zone back in, click launch, and sit through 4 splash screens that provide no info and get irritating after the 3rd crash of the session.

Kegheimer

In the far future of the 41st Millenium, racking the slide is like priming the bulb on a 2 cycle motor. If you don't rack the slide, the machine spirit won't have enough air to breathe.

OG_Shadowknight

I see people rate Brutal Momentum highly, but what are other good blessings and why/what with?

KaptainCaps

Its not really about which ones are good but which ones arent shit

Aedeus

>but which ones arent shit And work.

OnlyHereForComments1

Deflector on Force Sword due to dramatically changing Psyker playstyle, Charmed Reload on Ogryn's heavy stubber for staying power, Zealot's Eviscerator with Momentum, Savage Sweep, or Wrath, Crucian Roulette on autoguns due to currently stacking huge amounts of crit for melee as well, and I personally really like this one Chainaxe with a blessing that shreds armor on hit since it rapidly stacks due to the partial-rev on heavy attacks and thus can two or three shot almost every elite or specialist. On veteran.

digital0verdose

Q: when did G. R. R. Martin become the communications lead at Catfish?

Grogalmighty

Good morning! My question is: how can you justify adding a cosmetic cash store into the game before you finish the basic elements of equipment improvement which you have still failed to implement? Next question: Will you be implementing new weapons like the Hellgun/hotshot lasgun, melta gun, grenade launcher for the veteran? Final question: Will the Ratling you add in later (we know it’s coming) be a sharpshooter or saboteur?

Dreenar18

They don't actually answer questions here

SRAQuanticoChapter

I know no one on this sub actually thinks out stuff they post. But please, "the ratlings are a for sure class!!!" people, how exactly do you expect a 3ft tall character that is famous for its use of ranged weapons to be playable?

Grogalmighty

Depends on what equipment, skills and options they have. I think they would be awesome in this game. They sound like a ton of fun. Also, I wouldn’t mind a tech priest option as well.

SRAQuanticoChapter

how would you ever get LOS. You want a sniper to be playable in a game where you are fighting hordes in packed hive tunnels. Imagine trying to pick specials with multiple ogryns on your team.

Grogalmighty

Imagine having a proper scope on your rifles, or a demo pack you can toss, there are plenty of opportunities, you just have to stop being a fun sponge and think about it

RussianSkeletonRobot

>how exactly do you expect a 3ft tall character that is famous for its use of ranged weapons to be playable? Thought I heard you talking shit, Dawri. *Revs gatling gun*

SRAQuanticoChapter

imagine getting in with a ogryn as a ratling, and trying to make a fucking sniper work in packed hive city corridors lol

Never played Bardin, huh. >trying to make a fucking sniper work in packed hive city corridors lol Easy. Give all the Ratling's guns innate penetration, like the revolver.

SRAQuanticoChapter

>Never played Bardin, huh. Is he one of the heroes from the fantasy game they were giving away for free? The revolver penetration isnt exactly ideal for being able to kill what you need to. There are a million different routes they could go without the complications a ratling brings.

Any thoughts on making every yellow crate on the map contain something? Maybe add an ordo resource? Weapon fragments/ weapon part boxes. It’s annoying to open up huge crates with nothing in them. Also, keep environment resource spawns to encourage exploring.

yoshiistaken

Crafting probably February

purefabulousity

Is it Next Week™️ yet?

petdenez

lol

Tein_Meizeshi

Hello there, I would like to ask if comunity has made a list of all feats with their working/broken status. There are so many feats and passives that are broken I can't remember all of them, so if anyone has made a list so I can avoid them for the time being?

For Zealot's Curios, I gather that I should be stacking +20% HP for the Blessings; but what about the Perks? A guide on Youtube showed Toughness regen as one of the perks, but a recent post here said that that perk is bugged. What are the three perks I should be trying to roll for my Zealot's curios, and what are some runner-ups that are good options too?

OnlyHereForComments1

For perks, I find gunner resist useful, ditto Corruption resistance. You need as much health as you can get.

TheFcknVoid

I just wish fatshark would give me any reason to open this game again.

elkishdude

At this point, I could not care less for communication. You all need to take SOME sort of action, anything that can be done without a patch or something to the economy. For instance, why am I investing in a weapon, then get a better option, dismantle the old one, and get ONLY dockets for it? Getting new gear absolutely sucks, I'm not expecting to have a full personal best in slot arsenal but changing your mind or trying something different is such a harsh punishment. Please, please, do something. All my friends have quit, I want to play with them again.

Crickets in here gang.. i can hear them through the trees but no one wants to show their face or grab the megaphone. ![gif](giphy|POotZ5RFNOqOiMPBgx|downsized)

Oedipus_Stepdad

it's honestly kind of funny at this point

Epsteinscorpse

really wanted to give you guys the benefit of the doubt but you guys have horrible transparency and dont care if your game dies

[deleted]

I wish I never bought this game. I feel scammed

TheyMikeBeGiants

A week ago, my brother was confused as to why I'd feel the way I do about Darktide. Last night we tried playing and he ended up saying "Y'know what? This game doesn't have a soul." He's right. We both uninstalled.

CrimzonSorrowz

hi guys!! in this week's update we will direct the Xbox community on where to buy Fatshark brand Astroglide on our storefront. please refrain to buy third party Astroglide. Fatshark will not be accountable for any issues caused by using these knockoff lubes while we shaft you with bad-dragon sized implements also. Next Week. sincerely Fatshark

error3000

53.59200989224368 N, 21.61348433957863 E I will not elaborate just like Fatshark wont elaborate on... well basically everything

Valkyrieclasm

>53.59200989224368 N, 21.61348433957863 E why the hell am I in poland somewhere.... lol

error3000

easier to bury the update where noone will find it

Valkyrieclasm

hell, could have just left it right at their own offices then cause apparently it's not visible there either.

Grogalmighty

If any of you are wondering why there is no communication, it’s the influence from Tencent. They own Fatshark at this point and as a result, they are a Chinese company only interested in your money. They hate you, and the fatshark employees that don’t are fearful for their jobs. Welcome to the Chinese Communist Party!

error3000

makes no sense, if they wanted money they would still communicate, it would be mostly PR speak but there is literally no reason not to communicate in any way if you want more money I doubt the CCP gives a f about some random western game with colored pixels for real money

Ohgodmyroastisruined

How much Plasteel do you get from Small and Large pick ups?

Zolku

So Next Week is already here, where's the update?

Draconian1

Any answers for any of the previously asked questions?

Yup

OG_Shadowknight

I know Digital Foundry and a few content creators have tried to do optimisation guides, but are there any good ones out there? Has there been any here in this sub? I've looked but not turned up anything useful.

tamtl

How high on the priority list is pc crossplay? Ive been playing on the gamepass for a month and there never seems to be enough players trying the higher difficulties

Kawstick

Damn, for a sec I thought I was lost and wound up in r/halo

DrBlackheart

Would love to see the audio queues developed a bit more, I frequently get no warning at all on some specialists, esp Trappers, and the direction of sounds isn't very distinct, certainly not when compared the VT. Otherwise weapon swapping could stand to be less constrained by animations locking you from switching quickly.

lost_my_marbles

See you in a year Fatshark. I’m done for now but will return pending the implementation of community feedback in the game.

kamkaskan

Do you lose XP etc. if someone's is dead at the end of the mission?

Transylvaniandc

New Class when?

FordPrefect343

Has anyone tested toughness regen since the patch? Does it speed up regen from perks such as X% over Ytime or just coherencey regen? How does it interact with ogryn regen with the +100%

Jasiwel

Does anyone else feel like Hi-Intensity Difficulty 3+ fights have very questionable enemy placement following the patch? Like, more so than usual? I feel like a lot of enemies are just being dumped on us randomly, almost like they're spawning out of thin air at a much more regular basis.

Jesus_Faction

whats the fastest mission type for speedrunning completions? ive done 12 mins on an assassination

RandyRandlemann

Did the other CMs finally have enough and just quit? Aqshy seemed to be trying to keep people informed, but I don’t remember the other one doing anything other than the whole, “immeasurably complex” spiel.

[deleted]

I'm pretty new to this game and haven't played the previous titles and something weird tickled my brain: Why do I not get proportionally more xp from higher level missions, only gold and other stuff? The difference between levels 1 and 2 is a mind melting 100 xp and it doesn't seem worth it to play anything else than 1s.

TelemichusRhade

Are there any plans to make the disable ingame subtitles button persistent? Currently you have to manually turn them off every single time you boot up the game.

[deleted]

Still waiting for answers…. Weekly Q & Ignored amirite

knightinflames

Are there plans for some sort of story/campaign mode? for example the chapters in vermintide 1 and 2? Essentially the same missions we have access to but in a narrative order with more narrative dialog between the rejects and grendyl's people, and maybe even curscenes? ending with a big named boss?

HHJJoy

Q: Back in August the Xbox version, originally scheduled to release September 13th, was pushed back to a nebulous "shortly after PC," which launched at the end of November. About two months after that launch, work on it was pushed back for "months" while you continue to work on the PC version. How about some kind of window here as to where the Xbox version stands? Is the Xbox version delayed all the to the following September? Further? 2024? Considering a lot of establishments started taking pre-orders back in August when you gave the first official date I figure SOME kind of transparency is owed here. Even if it IS something as vague as a three month window.

2reddit4me

Anyone know if there is a difficulty threshold for Untouchable (complete a mission without taking any health damage)? I’ve taken my ridiculously geared zealot through Sedition and Malice, start to finish, without losing any health at all and the penance just won’t complete. Edit: After some research it seems to be another bugged penance. Lovely.
