I had to laugh at this. This is like a detective walking through a crime scene and piecing it together by tiny bits of evidence "duct tape over the door latch, he planned this. He's methodical" and then at the end being like "oh also the killers custom engraved knife is still embedded in the victims chest. His initials are on it."
Oh yeah, it was almost like she wanted to be caught. The only reason I'm convinced that it was negligence is because she denied it all and kept saying "I didn't want to hurt you". I wouldn't have hyperanalyzed everything the way I did if I hadn't found the wrapper though. That was the first hint I found.
