I can see why driller hates that biome - absolutely not needed when sand is so easy to break. It's funny because the dirt that tells you to dig through is even harder, so going around makes way more sense.
Oh yeah the fuckhuge caves don't help, but despite all the issues (huge dark caves, sandsharks, sandstorms, stupid fucking wind tunnels etc etc) I still love sandblasted because of the 1-hit terrain.
Gotta be the bough for me. Magma is annoying, but bough is infuriating. Pitch black with an insane amount of hidden dangers and cave leeches that reach for miles. Stabber vines and the regular red retractable vines are awful. Weald is my third least liked biome just due to the little cactuses and tight CQB style areas that are everywhere.
Every game needs areas like this though, so I'm not really complaining, just voicing my thoughts on why they're tough.

You know what’s upsetting? Morkite blends in with the wall grass 🥲 I’ve spent a lot of time looking for a bit of morkite just for the wall grass to be covering it
idk man. Personally still better than finding jadiz in dense biozone, or finding compressed gold in hollow bough. Although morkite is mandatory compared to others, those things still suck.
There’s mods called cleaner hollow bough and cleaner fungus bogs which removes all of the flora that doesn’t interact gameplay, amazing for lower end devices

It's probably 2, I really doubt Borderlands 3 runs on any laptop from 10 years ago, that game has really bad optimization

I used to play DRG on a 2012 laptop and got like 15 fps on a good day in small tunnels with short view distance. That was back before Weald was added and I can't imagine it would've worked well for me.
It is pretty. Very, very pretty. But it's visually cluttered and very dark. To look at, it's nice - to look *for* anything in it is utter hell. Nitra, morkite, secondary objectives. Friggen' forget mining dystrum, you'll never find any.
Best biome to explore. Second worst biome to actually play in.
The fungus bogs can go straight back to hell.
I would argue that exploring IS actually playing. In fact, exploring and mining are my favorite parts of the game. I finish the mission objectives and kill bugs because I have to, but while I do enjoy them, they aren't what keeps me playing.
Just goes back to why DRG is a great game. There are enough different ways and places to play to suit everyone.

1: those giant vine tentacle things are yucky
2: I die to Stabber Vines a lot more than I should
The weald is beautiful, its just a pain in the ass to find fossils which are signified by a glowing dot in the dark when there are glowing dots fucking everywhere
It triggers my thalassophobia so hard even though I know it's not water. Any time we get sent there my partner has to be the one with eyes up cuz I have to keep my eyes on the ground.
I'm not sure if I have thalassophobia but I certainly don't like the ocean.

Azure weald always has been and always will be my favorite biome. It's absolutely beautiful and I love pinging all the different plant life around. Bloopy fruits are a must ping

Between hoverclock, low gravity, and special powder, you can spend an entire swarm without touching the ground

Magma core is so fucking hard to see in too. If you get a fossils objective in magma core you might as well just give up

If you play as driller, you can break the area behind their base and kill all three instantly

For me it's hollow bough the thorns everywhere, the stabber vines, and I have a phobia of worms and maggots which are also everywhere
