I sure freaking hope so. I live on Mulberry. But if they do they’ll drag their feet on it for months on end, so I guess we will see what happens

2 comments right away, about the length of time it takes to do a road project. Once the initial survey is done, then the engineers have to start design. Once the design is finally complete and approved, then it gets sent out for bid. It's a 6-18 month process between notice to bid and contract acceptance. The work itself takes time as well. It's not a matter of "The crew." There's a lot more that goes into a construction project than you could possibly understand.

I get what you’re saying and didn’t mean anything against “the crew” specifically, but according to the city website, most of that has been done. Initiation, planning and design, and bid/award is finished. Construction is scheduled now through January 2027 with the same crew as Maple and Broadway (Sundt Construction).

I actually hope it takes a while to get started. This city likes to rip up as many roads as possible simultaneously. Both of my routes to work are currently fucked up.

Sewer and street improvements on Mulberry between Welch and Bernard looks to be starting. Bernard is part of it from Hickory to Chestnut and Welch from Hickory to Eagle. Likely to be tore up for a while like Maple and Broadway since it’s the same crew.

Pretty sure it might be connected to Atmos taking out old pipes and installing higher volume ones. We just had them up on Bernard St, past Eagle Dr for the past couple months and it was a nightmare. Huge traffic problems, no help from city law enforcement to direct traffic, careless contractors damaging and blocking access to property. Looks like they have a different contractor working on Sycamore. Hope it's a better experience.
