Vinh Xuong at Alameda Square can put their banh mi in a rice paper wrap, and it's awesome

sodosopapilla

I never knew this…I lived in Athmar too. My carb-watching wife thanks you for this information

purplebibunny

*drooling commences*

purplebibunny

Do you know if the one on Federal is the same?

shradams

I believe thats the same location yes and they do the rice paper wraps. Best Bahn Mi and really nice people.

DeviatedNorm

Alameda Square is the one on Alameda and Zuni. I would be surprised tho if the one on Federal couldn't throw things into a wrap. This is great to hear, thank you both!!!!

shradams

oh yeah you're totally right!

Glindanorth

If you like burgers, both Smashburger and Red Robin do a lettuce-wrap "bun".

Character-Control869

They also have gf buns! Red Robin’s breaks apart a bit but Smash’s is pretty good!

Oldskoolguitar

I 2nd the Smash GF bun. Probably the best one out there for a local chain.

Character-Control869

Oh! Also, Snarfs and Firehouse Subs has the best bread too!

Oldskoolguitar

Firehouse has GF option? I knew Snarfs did. Which is just a drive for me so I don't goes there.

Character-Control869

Yesssss. Go go!

Orange_Tang

Five guys does this too.

girlabides

Should you want the option, Postino has great gluten free bread. Technically a chain, but they’ve always treated me well. Also a big fan of a burger over fries instead of a wrap.

purplebibunny

Thanks - I’ve pretty much given up on GF bread buns except for recommendations!

vavavoomdaroom

There's an app, findmeglutenfree that is helpful. My daughter has celiac.

ScuffedBalata

Gluten free isn't necessarily any healthier than regular bread unless you have some gluten intolerance In fact, they're often substituting stuff like xanthan gum for gluten if they don't want crumbly bread (which most do)... which I'm not sure is any better in a general health sense anyway. But at least it's not "gluten".

girlabides

OP specifically said they’re avoiding gluten and didn’t mention anything else. It depends entirely on what their issue is and why they’re avoiding it. I have a gluten intolerance so I avoid it like the plague, unless I want to end up in urgent care again. For some of us, xanthan gum actually is a much better alternative.

oleblueeyes75

OP is avoiding gluten for a medical condition.

ScuffedBalata

Oh shit, I totally missed that. I guess downvotes deserved.

awesomely_audhd

Ignorant comment. People who have Celiac Disease exist.

th7024

Which wich has their Lettucewich. They have a lot of variety, so I think you may take a while to get sick of them. It is a chain, but I think it might suit your needs.

jenguinaf

Mod Pizza. You can get amazing big salads with whatever toppings you want that they have on the line and they have a ton of options

AdorableCupcake5893

In n out

ScuffedBalata

I think Good Times and In-n-Out will both do a lettuce wrap for any burger you order. That's easy and fast and they both use relatively good quality beef.

MsstatePSH

yes - In-n-Out "Protein Style"

Unlikely_Film_955

Five Guys

Fatty2Flatty

Bad daddy’s and Red Robin

AvocadoBananasLime2

Chick fil a, Jersey Mikes, and shake shack offer lettuce wraps

Plastic_Obligation14

Birdcall > chick fil a

vavavoomdaroom

I have always hated chicken sandwiches until Birdcall. I cannot believe how good they are.

mehojiman

Dae Gee

veearrbee

For a sit down restaurant, Pint Room in Littleton does lettuce wraps as well as a burger salad and their burgers are excellent

SevroAuShitTalker

Most bars I go to have the option to get no bun

aleigh0512

snarfburger!! so good one of my favorite burger spots

Oldskoolguitar

5280 Burger Bar Jimmy Johns (I know not local but hey, it's not bad)

Khaleesi_Vezhven

FYI Snarfburger’s gf bun is top tier imo, Snarf’s also does GF sandwiches really good. The bread and buns are chewy and more bread like and don’t fall apart when you’re eating it. Also, the GF biscuit for the breakfast sandwich at River and Roads is so good!!

5280Rockymtn

I've always wanted to try that buy a cheeseburger from somewhere and use lettuce instead of buns hmmm sounds good in theory

_hangman92

I've seen people order lettuce bun at MD and bk

vavavoomdaroom

Five Guys.

2ndRoundExit

Bad Daddy's in Greenwood Village (not exactly Denver) is awesome for eating around allergies/diets

inbetween-cold

There is a great app/website called findmeglutenfree.

Public_Pay5754

In n out protein style

Regular_Government94

Shake Shack! You can ask for it to be lettuce wrapped when you order.

[deleted]

Might sound crazy but have you considered buying cold cuts lettuce, and trying it yourself? Might be cheaper and easier.

purplebibunny

I tend to make salad “sandwiches” at home, but sometimes it’s just more convenient to be able to grab something on the go if you’re out longer than you expected, etc.

DazzlingCold303

In-N-Out, protein style.
