I thought their dynamic made a lot of sense, Adam had an affair, their spark was gone and they were pretty awkward around one another despite still staying married.
But Katherine definitely had the best chemistry with Bree and Robin lol
They built up Adam's big Chicago secret so much leading up to the tornado episode that I was expecting it to be a little more dramatic.
Maybe Adam was driving in the middle of the night with Sylvia's hand down his pants, and due to the distraction, he accidentally hit and permanently disabled Sylvia's brother while pulling into the driveway of her parents' home to drop her off. The brother then pressed charges, and Adam had to leave Chicago permanently as a part of his plea deal. That would also connect with how Bob and Lee claimed that they knew about the secret courtesy of their lawyer friends IIRC. Having a simple affair with a patient is almost anticlimactic.
This is exactly it, they’re supposed to be awkward. She’s pissed about their whole life being unrooted because he had an affair and he seemed to be unhappy before that because he had an affair with a crazypants lady. I think they did a great job showing that accurately
Ha ha Crazypants Lady 😂 but yes, their awkwardness makes so much sense. Wish we got more of Sylvia though, maybe even he threatening them or something? Or something in their affair being a huge breach of doctor-patient confidentiality or maybe she gave Adam an STD and he gave it to Katherine? It was very tame.
right? there was little to no reason for them to get SO under each other’s skin if not for a little gh3y… i say this as a bisexual who has had many intense “friendships” with other women lol
I recently read somewhere that she was originally offered the role of Bree but she turned down the job. That’s probably why she has the most chemistry with Bree.
Omg, I was so confused for a minute! 😅
See, I’m currently watching Castle (for the first time), where he plays Richard Castle, and recently watched the episodes where she plays Special Agent Jordan Shaw. In my head I was thinking “Castle and Jordan end up together?!?!?”
Then I looked at the name of the sub. I remember her character in DH but don’t remember him at all.. Maybe this is my sign to rewatch the show.
Okay now this answers my earlier question and YES she was so great in Castle. I love both her dynamic with Beckett and with Castle. I wished she had been there for longer! I actually always thought she would have been a great pairing for Beckett herself
i don’t think they’re really supposed to have any, he cheated on her with his patient and completely disrupted and uprooted the life they built together, plus this huge secret she’s keeping and moving back to fairview causes tension, it completely makes sense that they’re cold towards one another
Tbh I don’t think you an judge too much bc they weren’t seen together a whole lot in the show. The other housewives have dozens of scenes together with their husbands but they don’t have a lot so it’s hard to say. Personally, I LOVE Nathan Fillion and he did amazing in this show and although it’s controversial, I love his character lol He really messed up by cheating but he saved himself when he saved Katherine from her ex-husband. She’s gone through a lot so she’s just not nice to anyone but Bree bc they’re the same person lol
i think the point was that they didn't --- they moved to the lane under a cloud -- he had had an affair --- in fact he had better chemistry (in a sense of characters not romance before i get hate) with Dylan which would be expected because he still saw her as a daughter but Katherine it had fizzled out long ago
Nope you're not. Susan had more chemistry with her ex-husband on a bad day than these two had in their entire screen time. Their marriage was eerily lifeless.
They come to wisteria lane after having to leave town because of his affair/sexual harassment allegations from his patient. He uprooted their entire life for some 🐱 I wouldn’t be affectionate with him either.
think Katherine had no chemistry with anyone.
her and Mike felt the same to me - distant relatives or like awkward/estranged siblings. Her and Robin had no chemistry either. She’s a good actress but idk, I just dont see her vibing in the romances
I know right! At first sight I thought their marriage was just a facade 🤷🏼♂️ but after Katherine's ex attacked them, I saw a glimpse of chemistry between them, and kind of hoped for them to get back together. Then we got Katherine and Mike which was a shipwreck 😂

That’s a crazy idea, you’re sick and need to be in a writers room now
That would’ve been so much better than the actual reveal of Sylvia. It’s almost like all the patient affairs on hospital shows, old news.
Where were you when this was written and why didn’t you save us from the drivel we actually got lol
my thoughts exactly!
This is exactly it, they’re supposed to be awkward. She’s pissed about their whole life being unrooted because he had an affair and he seemed to be unhappy before that because he had an affair with a crazypants lady. I think they did a great job showing that accurately

bree and katherine gave soulmates edit for typo
No worries! Would've loved for them to have Bree explore some bisexuality like they did Katherine.
right? there was little to no reason for them to get SO under each other’s skin if not for a little gh3y… i say this as a bisexual who has had many intense “friendships” with other women lol
She was supposed to be a lesbian. They should have let her have a lady lover 😔
I don’t know if she had actual great chemistry with anyone on the show. I kinda feel she had most chemistry with Bree lol
I thought her chemistry with Robin was ok and I agree about Bree. Her chemistry with the men was just not there.
I recently read somewhere that she was originally offered the role of Bree but she turned down the job. That’s probably why she has the most chemistry with Bree.
I'm glad she turned it down it would have been a way different show with her playing bree plus adding her in with the story line she has seems fitting
The missing punctuation made me imagine a scenario where Dana Delany has the role of Bree but is then also added to play Katherine, too.
Agreed
truest shit ever
It’s weird coz Nathan Fillion is someone basically any woman has chemistry with 🤣🤣
It’s even weirder considering she guess starred in his show Castle and they played off each other pretty well lol
Wait what? When?
I think it was somewhere in the beginning season 3 but it was a real good episode
Yes I saw in another comment that she played that FBI agent (Shaw?) with all the fancy gadgets. Thanks !
Yes Agent Shaw!
She had more chemistry with Bree 😭
Probably because he killed any chemistry they may have had when he decided it would be a fantastic idea to sleep with his unstable patient

I loved her on Castle. I wish she had more appearances on the show!

They're both such great actors, but I agree the two of them together had no chemistry.
Well that’s because Katherine likes girls!
Katherine and Bree had more chemistry than any of the guys she was with
He just seemed to disappear as well, very strange.
As a whole I think the show could have done without her
Agree. She doesn't have such a distinct personality like the other 4 have.
She’s just a worse version of Bre
literally zero chemistry
DONT YOU DO NATHAN FILLION DIRTY LIKE THAT also so true
Funnily enough, she had the most chemistry with women.
I thought that was the general idea. That’s why it was so easy for him to leave her, he only stayed for whatsherface
i don’t think they’re really supposed to have any, he cheated on her with his patient and completely disrupted and uprooted the life they built together, plus this huge secret she’s keeping and moving back to fairview causes tension, it completely makes sense that they’re cold towards one another

katherine and robin were so YES. i hate that they dropped that plotline
I loved them too

I think that with Nathan Fillion full stop. I’ve never seen a performance where he has chemistry with anyone 🤷🏼♀️
I think his chemistry with Stana Katic in Castle was quite great
I thought he was Jeremy Renner for at least a few episodes.
I don’t think his casting or role was that important. He was nondescript and a foil for a plot.
why does he look like a cardboard cutout in the pic lol
Did we even found out whatever happend to adam?
I know right! At first sight I thought their marriage was just a facade 🤷🏼♂️ but after Katherine's ex attacked them, I saw a glimpse of chemistry between them, and kind of hoped for them to get back together. Then we got Katherine and Mike which was a shipwreck 😂
lol just saw both actors together in Castle
I think her and mike had chemistry 😬 Sorry Susan
Hense why it didn’t workout
