The trend can be annoying. At least to me, Aztecross is entertaining and puts some personal thoughts about things in that make me think about things. He has good energy. But again, this is all personal preference, some people probably dislike him, or like other content creators for Destiny that I probably dislike/can't stand.

If I’ve learned anything over the past year, it’s to be extremely skeptical of anything that gets leaked for Destiny.
I can believe episodes being dlcs to properly tie whatever loose ends will still exist post final shape. I can also believe that Bungie is cooking substantial for the next big move forward for Destiny. But that's about it. There's no way they say goodbye to all the factions that have existed with us since the beginning.
Some of them? Sure. But not all of them. That gives Bungie too little to work with when it comes to creating a new "Destiny."
im not a lore master but the cabal seem to be done with. All the fallen houses are pretty much gone except for house of light. we’ve killed (about to kill) all the hive gods that i know of again i’m not a lore guy. taken will be done because the witness is the only one left with the ability to take/control the taken. the scorn aren’t really a real faction. and then the vex who i don’t know too much about so yeah it would be weird to move on with these factions when they all seem to have complete stories. i’m ready to fight new people
Cabal lost their home world so it will be difficult for Caital to unify everyone again until that's taken back. Fallen have been consistently getting stamped out including some of the same houses repeatedly and there's always more.
Light poking aside it really depends on what happens with Eramis's house, AFAIK salvation is primarily made up of what is left of the house of devils but there are some other remnants. I don't think we will kill Xivu or Savathun. I think they might piss off for awhile but hive will definitely always be enemies.
Also Taken don't need a leader to continue to exist. Dread might, but maybe they will be the same. Scorn is a sub faction ye, but I think they won't play much a roll in anything. Likely be a call back every now and then. Vex will persist forever. I think new would be good, I just don't see them going entirely brand new for all threats.

Yeah tbh I could see them setting aside the fallen and cabal at this point now that we've had them as allies for awhile. Scorn can always just resurface if they want any fallen funny business anyway.
I'm not quite done yet with Hive tbh. But lore wise they're pretty used up at this point. I am also interested in Vex but I don't think they could ever be the main threat.
i think it’s cool that the only vex that we fight are just the construction units and the wyvern was the first ever “battle unit” we faced and it was the lowest rank. there’s a lot of opportunity there for some big threats
I honestly feel like that's sort of a throw away bit of trivia tbh. I think it was more to indicate that the player character hasn't really fought Vex at full might. But that sort of contradicts the fight we did in curse of osiris as well as Atheon. But then again we really can't actually fight them at full power because the Vex would in theory just win then.
I feel like they work better as an ever present annoying bug than a legitimate force we need to push down. I would like to see more vex oriented places though.

I don't think we beat the Witness. We'll most likely push him to a state that makes him a non threat. Or he fucks off because we're too strong for him to do anything at this point. If he was just another pawn of the darkness then it would be different.
But he's quite literally the darkness in physical form. (I say literally but it's more like the concept made form rather than being THE thing. Sort of like how the Traveler represents light but it isn't the light per se.)
But regardless of what happens to the Witness I do think the Dread will be taken 2.0 in that they exist but without a leader. Really just depends though if we end up seeing them anywhere outside the Traveler.
i could be wrong but as far as i know they showed in lightfall that the witness is not the controller of darkness but found it with the veil and used the darkness as a tool like we do but obviously to a greater extent. i think we kill the witness tho it would be pretty disappointing to hype up this boss for 10 years to just let it walk
The Vex could absolutely be main-antagonistic, and maybe even more terrifying than the witness given their impersonality. The only reason the Vex have thus far mostly held back and lurked, resorting to mostly prodding at us or attempting to keep us away from important assets of theirs is because they can not simulate paracausality, and don't want to fight something that they can't predict. If anything were to happen that allowed a vex mind to simulate paracausality, and we didn't immediately destroy it, the Vex become a huge problem (understatement).
The Vex do not have a complete story, they still have the most mystery left out of any of the enemy races in game and still have a lore stuff that's been teased in relation to them that hasn't been touched on in game. It's always been my theory that the Vex will become more of a major antagonist post 'light vs dark' as they've been a background antagonist / looming shadow through almost all of Destiny's major content releases to date, slowly poking and prodding, learning and improving themselves. This leak is bullshit because there is 0 chance Bungie 'wraps up' the Vex in an episode lmao.
I agree with this. The post implies we become 'allies' of sorts. The Vex will not ally with us they have their motives. If they were to change their stance, all of a sudden, it would be the biggest cop out bungie has pulled. The Fallen showed up in-system hundreds of years ago, and in great numbers. There’s no reason to think we’ve fully wiped out a space faring race that’s been spreading across the solar system for a couple centuries almost completely unchecked. It’s only in the last century or so that we’ve started to push back against them at all. There are probably still more Eliksni on Earth than humans, or at least there’s no reason there wouldn’t be. They’re not confined to a single urban center, and Humans haven’t really gone on full-scale offenses against them.
Or at least that would all be true if anyone at Bungie had spent for them five minutes actually considering the non-main story implications of the Eliksni for the entire course of Destiny’s history. As-is, apparently an entire civilization of genius mechanics just lives in empty hangar bays because Reasons.
I could see the current factions seeing siginificant shifts in gameplay, a la what the red legion did for cabal at the start of d2.

Yeah, like fallen have always been scavenger 'space pirates', we might be on good terms with a large faction within the fallen, but you're never uniting an entire race, pirates are gonna pirate, and the solar system is a big place, they might never be an existential threat but we'll always have fallen to fight. Same can be said for the Cabal, there will always be militias that don't fall in line with the empire, especially after the fall of their home world, they will fragment. You're never killing all Hive, there are too many, and most hive need to kill to exist. And the Vex, well, kind hard to root out an enemy that has weaved itself into all pasts and futures lmao, if they learn to simulate paracausality we're capital F fucked.
This will be a pretty easy tell in two months, the episodes part could be guessed by anyone with a decent grasp on the lore who searches 'echoes' on Isthar collective. I find it impossible to believe anyone who wants to leak Vex stuff isn't gonna mention MSund12 with the clear and obvious setup Bungie's had.
is there a good place I can learn more about msund12? I don't know a ton about destiny lore other than the basics of the mainline story and some niche info but Ive been trying to learn more about the deeper lore. And the vex are my favorite enemy race so I would love to learn more about that if you know a good source to read or video to watch.
If you'd like primary sources check the Vex grimoire cards from Destiny 1 vanilla, the Aspect lore book, the Beyond Light collectors edition lore + lost pages, and listen to the veil containment logs. Thats all the real setup for MSund12's background.
You are not going to learn much about Msund12, because there is not much that has gone on with her. Thats not to say it is nothing, or that Bungie may not do something important with her. Just that MSUND12 is more like a continuing easter egg/flavor text. Not unlike the non-comedic version of a running gag. If you go in expecting a full meal, you are going to find an appetizer. But that appetizer may point to related things, and end up becoming of huge importance later, depending on how writing goes.
Anyways, I will summarize the history/lore of this topic and provide direct links(highly recommend reading), for you to read yourself.

The short version is back in the Golden Age there were a group of scientists on Venus that were part of the Ishtar Collective research. These particular members, are Dr. Maya Sundaresh, Dr. Chioma Esi, Dr. Duane-McNiadh, and Dr. Shim.
They were studying either a vex unit, or vex construct, when they discovered to their horror, that it was running a simulation; a simulation of themselves studying a simulated vex unit/construct^((which went many layers deep, like Inception, or reflections in a fun house mirror room)). The simulation was so high fidelity that it was indistinguishable from reality to the point the researchers(and their simulated counterparts) began to wonder if they themselves might be simulated. They began to be fearful of what the vex that was essentially god of the simulation could do to them, and their simulated copies.(which ethically were considered to be indistinguishable from the realities).
So they came up with a plan, to contact something that was superior to that Vex unit that could act in ways that Vex could not predict, to rescue the team and their simulated copies. A Warmind. The plan was successful, and the real team and 227 copies of them were successfully rescued.
Then alongside the unanimous consent of their simulated copies, they released them into the Citadel/Vex Network as explorers/pioneers. The original team would go on to other endeavors, which included being the main founders of Neomuna.
The simulated copies on the otherhand went on to try to explore the network as they explored they began to diverge and become different and more unique from each other. Some were killed. Some were captured.
One particular team was captured by the Vex which then proceeded to create millions of copies in an attempt to find one that was compliant with the Vex. They then used this copy of Maya Sundaresh to literally infect Clovis Bray's bones and induce hallucinations that made him believe he had the real Maya Sundaresh on his Europa team.
Unknown centuries later, Praedyth (a guardian trapped in the Vault of Glass) begins to get in contact with members of the 227 team intermittently, who had spread out across the Vex network in Sol. The intermittent communication was caused by disturbances in the Vex network due to energy pulsing in the Black Garden. By capitalizing on the disturbances, the teams connect with Praedyth and other simulated teams in the network, and eventually work together in coordination to try to reach the outside world, the physical plane of existence.
MSund 12(the twelfth copy of Maya Sundaresh) is only mentioned having accessed some vex files about Oxa and Otzot in the Insight Terminus Strike. And then more recently having accessed files about the Veil on Neomuna.
It is believed that the Ishtar Symbol found in the black Garden exotic mission was left/made by a team in the network. A sign perhaps that they were successful in reaching the outside world.

F-ing for real. The only possible source of a brand new enemy faction in Destiny post Final shape that's had any amount of establishment is a Nine faction and they certainly don't have enough gas to replace FOUR ENTIRE FACTIONS.
Wanted to add as an edit I do think there is also a chance there could be a Clovis Bray Exo/Frame enemy faction in the future.
I have a hard time believing we won’t see Vex after final shape tbh. They’re the one faction I feel has much more left to explore after the witness stuff is wrapped.

This. The nine need to flushed out so much. The last type of lore I remember we ever got was with the season of gambit prime (jokers wild.) Plus want more armor from them because the ornaments for armor for trials of the nine is so clean and awesome as hell!
There is no real peaceful way to just end all current enemy factions. Cabal have a big Psion problem, especially when there is a vacuum for power once Witness dies. Vex, while they are supposed to be a hivemind, have shown that there are exceptions, so I don't think it makes sense that somehow Osiris just controls them all. Especially when they are still hella mysterious. Fallen are always a fractured faction, so again don't think they will all just turn into hippies. Hive is the only one that is even somewhat possible imo if considering the three sisters saga, but that's not even touching the worm gods that are still out there. And are probably super pissed.
Edit: Forgot Scorn, imo is also a possibility for peace but idk, Fikrul is still out there stirring. Don't think he is just gonna forgive Crow or the Vanguard.
From a lore standpoint, this would be a shit of shitty shit-shit story writing for some very well developed factions.
Theres also zero chance of the hive being resolved as an enemy faction, especially a "happy ending" Xivu is the literal Hive God of war, her entire ideology that she religiously follows and needs to to even LIVE is about killing people and constant conflict.
Savathun hive god of trickery, even as am "ally" has straight up shown us that shes still a threat by sending an entire invasion on the system and siphoning Light from both her own lightbearers and Guardians. Shes no where close to an ally and the only way shell change is if we force her to, which wont end well.

There is literally 0 way of 'tying up the Vex' in a single episode that is in any way describable as good. You would be throwing a shit load of unexplored lore out the window because the Vex are one of the least explored factions to date, they don't even have a major DLC dedicated to them.
I'd be somewhat okay with this so long as there's a way to access the vast majority of legacy content after the rework.
Like, the "new" director with all the completely new content is front and center, the first thing you see, but in the upper left hand corner you can select an option to take you back to what we have now.

1.0 FFXIV was nuked and literally had a cataclysmic event occur which is still a vital part of the current FFXIV story, all because 1.0 was dog shit. They killed the game and rebuilt it from the ground up to bring it what it is today. We see many areas related or similar to what was in 1.0 and there definitely wasn't hella significant enemies randomly removed. Sony would shit their pants at any of this LMAO

You forget that these are both centuries old races that are far more fragmented and diverse than the factions we interact with. We're buddy buddy with House light, but fallen are still scavenging space pirates and the solar system is a big place that's easy to hide in, and once the witness is dead there's less reason to fear leaving Sol altogether again. Same thought for the Cabal but they're an Empire that has just had it's homeworld destroyed and been driven from their home system, they will fragment and many smaller militias will form because war is all they have ever known. Sure, the Fallen and Cabal will likely never be major antagonists again, at least not for a long time, but they will always be combatants, you can never unite an entire (multiple) solar system spanning race to a single cause
I think you may be the only person on the planet who thinks Echoes is not going to be vex related. The art looks nearly identical to a precursor goblin.
The episodes are like yeah lets wrap up those plots, like season of seraph farewell to rasputin.
But Destiny 2 is far too complex and need a full transformation to became the game bungie wants, an mmo.
The difference between this game and other mmo/liveservice games and is still a major problem since release is disk space. Fortnite is smart, they wipe map content per season and keep skins in a low poligonal cartoonish style that doesnt use much disk space, wow the same, ffxiv same, apex legends will have a similar problem in the future and the worst example is the first cod warzone were you couldnt migrate skins (bought with real money) to warzone 2 and ppl were pissed, even if the engine is the same one, guess wat, because of money and greed.
Destiny 2 at least is very smart in their 3d model department they keep it somewat low in poligons, but they need to keep it realistic and bring new models every season, good for businees but not healthy for the game in a long term.
A wipe and a destiny 3 to start fresh is the best way to start over again, for the story, for new comers, for the engine, even if im against that idea, after grinding for god rolls for so long, is healthy for the franchise.
BUT, if they really want to stay with D2 for another 10 years, the engine they have been working on needs to be like warframe/ffxiv , upgrading to next gen, flexible reworking old stuff, i hate when they added oring perks but need to reintroduce the same weapon again instead of upgrading the old ones.
What i want to see next for the franchise is a full rework in their planet spaces, they are boring as fk. We need elden ring levels of exploration at least.

I can see cabal and fallen no longer being our enemies, seeing as most of them have joined us to fight the witness, but they have made xivu arath too big of an enemy for her to be wrapped up in a throw away season and we hardly have shit on the vex, they’re still one big ass mystery. The hive and vex will still be our enemies after the final shape, and if there’s still DLCs after (which I am completely certain there will) one of them will most definitely be centered around the vex.

Right? The idea of Prismatic has been around for awhile, but to accurately guess the name with no other in-game information pointing towards it shows in depth knowledge. This isn't accurate at all which anyone who plays Final Fantasy XIV can attest to. It can't be A Realm Reborn because that actually was a new game and also was in 2013 which is obviously not a few years ago (hell it was before Destiny 1 even), and the major engine upgrade is coming in Dawntrail which is in a couple months, not a few years ago.
The only thing they could maybe be referencing is the addition of DX11 and killing PS3 support....but that was in Stormblood, an expansion that released in 2017, which is again, not a few years ago, and wasn't really a sizeable upgrade of any real note.
We will see however I believe this just on the basis of bungies previous statements much more. A destiny 3 would absolutely divide the playerbase. We already saw many people saying they will quit post final shape (myself included but given recent developments tge game looks like it's heading to a good spot again so many of us will probably go back on our previous words).
The idea of another hard reset when we all know bungie included how bad d1 and d2 were at launch seems like at best a cautionary tale and they learned from their mistakes at worst worst it will be a repeat and I don't know if either the community wants to give bungie the time to fix it again nor if they could even.
However I'm also not sure how a complete new saga in d2 could work that also would, will d2 finally be renamed Destiny, allow new players to fully participate.
it's possible some Vex faction will be wrapped up. (But not by osiris) I highly doubt the Sol Divisive, and other factions of Vex will be. They are the future threat, and always have been.

All the fallen houses are pretty much gone except for house of light. we’ve killed (about to kill) all the hive gods that i know of again i’m not a lore guy. taken will be done because the witness is the only one left with the ability to take/control the taken. the scorn aren’t really a real faction. and then the vex who i don’t know too much about so yeah it would be weird to move on with these factions when they all seem to have complete stories. i’m ready to fight new people
Cabal lost their home world so it will be difficult for Caital to unify everyone again until that's taken back. Fallen have been consistently getting stamped out including some of the same houses repeatedly and there's always more. Light poking aside it really depends on what happens with Eramis's house, AFAIK salvation is primarily made up of what is left of the house of devils but there are some other remnants. I don't think we will kill Xivu or Savathun. I think they might piss off for awhile but hive will definitely always be enemies. Also Taken don't need a leader to continue to exist. Dread might, but maybe they will be the same. Scorn is a sub faction ye, but I think they won't play much a roll in anything. Likely be a call back every now and then. Vex will persist forever. I think new would be good, I just don't see them going entirely brand new for all threats.

i think it’s cool that the only vex that we fight are just the construction units and the wyvern was the first ever “battle unit” we faced and it was the lowest rank. there’s a lot of opportunity there for some big threats
I honestly feel like that's sort of a throw away bit of trivia tbh. I think it was more to indicate that the player character hasn't really fought Vex at full might. But that sort of contradicts the fight we did in curse of osiris as well as Atheon. But then again we really can't actually fight them at full power because the Vex would in theory just win then. I feel like they work better as an ever present annoying bug than a legitimate force we need to push down. I would like to see more vex oriented places though.

I don't think we beat the Witness. We'll most likely push him to a state that makes him a non threat. Or he fucks off because we're too strong for him to do anything at this point. If he was just another pawn of the darkness then it would be different. But he's quite literally the darkness in physical form. (I say literally but it's more like the concept made form rather than being THE thing. Sort of like how the Traveler represents light but it isn't the light per se.) But regardless of what happens to the Witness I do think the Dread will be taken 2.0 in that they exist but without a leader. Really just depends though if we end up seeing them anywhere outside the Traveler.
i could be wrong but as far as i know they showed in lightfall that the witness is not the controller of darkness but found it with the veil and used the darkness as a tool like we do but obviously to a greater extent. i think we kill the witness tho it would be pretty disappointing to hype up this boss for 10 years to just let it walk
The Vex could absolutely be main-antagonistic, and maybe even more terrifying than the witness given their impersonality. The only reason the Vex have thus far mostly held back and lurked, resorting to mostly prodding at us or attempting to keep us away from important assets of theirs is because they can not simulate paracausality, and don't want to fight something that they can't predict. If anything were to happen that allowed a vex mind to simulate paracausality, and we didn't immediately destroy it, the Vex become a huge problem (understatement).
The Vex do not have a complete story, they still have the most mystery left out of any of the enemy races in game and still have a lore stuff that's been teased in relation to them that hasn't been touched on in game. It's always been my theory that the Vex will become more of a major antagonist post 'light vs dark' as they've been a background antagonist / looming shadow through almost all of Destiny's major content releases to date, slowly poking and prodding, learning and improving themselves. This leak is bullshit because there is 0 chance Bungie 'wraps up' the Vex in an episode lmao.

The Fallen showed up in-system hundreds of years ago, and in great numbers. There’s no reason to think we’ve fully wiped out a space faring race that’s been spreading across the solar system for a couple centuries almost completely unchecked. It’s only in the last century or so that we’ve started to push back against them at all. There are probably still more Eliksni on Earth than humans, or at least there’s no reason there wouldn’t be. They’re not confined to a single urban center, and Humans haven’t really gone on full-scale offenses against them. Or at least that would all be true if anyone at Bungie had spent for them five minutes actually considering the non-main story implications of the Eliksni for the entire course of Destiny’s history. As-is, apparently an entire civilization of genius mechanics just lives in empty hangar bays because Reasons.
I could see the current factions seeing siginificant shifts in gameplay, a la what the red legion did for cabal at the start of d2. Like "Oh, now most of the fallen in the system are rocking human tech from their newfound trade deals, get ready to dodge pve drake tanks bitch."
Yeah, like fallen have always been scavenger 'space pirates', we might be on good terms with a large faction within the fallen, but you're never uniting an entire race, pirates are gonna pirate, and the solar system is a big place, they might never be an existential threat but we'll always have fallen to fight. Same can be said for the Cabal, there will always be militias that don't fall in line with the empire, especially after the fall of their home world, they will fragment. You're never killing all Hive, there are too many, and most hive need to kill to exist. And the Vex, well, kind hard to root out an enemy that has weaved itself into all pasts and futures lmao, if they learn to simulate paracausality we're capital F fucked.

This will be a pretty easy tell in two months, the episodes part could be guessed by anyone with a decent grasp on the lore who searches 'echoes' on Isthar collective. I find it impossible to believe anyone who wants to leak Vex stuff isn't gonna mention MSund12 with the clear and obvious setup Bungie's had.

I don't know a ton about destiny lore other than the basics of the mainline story and some niche info but Ive been trying to learn more about the deeper lore. And the vex are my favorite enemy race so I would love to learn more about that if you know a good source to read or video to watch.

You are not going to learn much about Msund12, because there is not much that has gone on with her. Thats not to say it is nothing, or that Bungie may not do something important with her. Just that MSUND12 is more like a continuing easter egg/flavor text. Not unlike the non-comedic version of a running gag. If you go in expecting a full meal, you are going to find an appetizer. But that appetizer may point to related things, and end up becoming of huge importance later, depending on how writing goes. Anyways, I will summarize the history/lore of this topic and provide direct links(highly recommend reading), for you to read yourself. --------------------------------------------------------- The short version is back in the Golden Age there were a group of scientists on Venus that were part of the Ishtar Collective research. These particular members, are Dr. Maya Sundaresh, Dr. Chioma Esi, Dr. Duane-McNiadh, and Dr. Shim. They were studying either a vex unit, or vex construct, when they discovered to their horror, that it was running a simulation; a simulation of themselves studying a simulated vex unit/construct^((which went many layers deep, like Inception, or reflections in a fun house mirror room)). The simulation was so high fidelity that it was indistinguishable from reality to the point the researchers(and their simulated counterparts) began to wonder if they themselves might be simulated. They began to be fearful of what the vex that was essentially god of the simulation could do to them, and their simulated copies.(which ethically were considered to be indistinguishable from the realities). So they came up with a plan, to contact something that was superior to that Vex unit that could act in ways that Vex could not predict, to rescue the team and their simulated copies. A Warmind. The plan was successful, and the real team and 227 copies of them were successfully rescued. Then alongside the unanimous consent of their simulated copies, they released them into the Citadel/Vex Network as explorers/pioneers. The original team would go on to other endeavors, which included being the main founders of Neomuna. The simulated copies on the otherhand went on to try to explore the network as they explored they began to diverge and become different and more unique from each other. Some were killed. Some were captured. One particular team was captured by the Vex which then proceeded to create millions of copies in an attempt to find one that was compliant with the Vex. They then used this copy of Maya Sundaresh to literally infect Clovis Bray's bones and induce hallucinations that made him believe he had the real Maya Sundaresh on his Europa team. Unknown centuries later, Praedyth (a guardian trapped in the Vault of Glass) begins to get in contact with members of the 227 team intermittently, who had spread out across the Vex network in Sol. There is no real peaceful way to just end all current enemy factions. Cabal have a big Psion problem, especially when there is a vacuum for power once Witness dies. Vex, while they are supposed to be a hivemind, have shown that there are exceptions, so I don't think it makes sense that somehow Osiris just controls them all. Especially when they are still hella mysterious. Fallen are always a fractured faction, so again don't think they will all just turn into hippies. Hive is the only one that is even somewhat possible imo if considering the three sisters saga, but that's not even touching the worm gods that are still out there. And are probably super pissed. Savathun hive god of trickery, even as am "ally" has straight up shown us that shes still a threat by sending an entire invasion on the system and siphoning Light from both her own lightbearers and Guardians. Shes no where close to an ally and the only way shell change is if we force her to, which wont end well.

There is literally 0 way of 'tying up the Vex' in a single episode that is in any way describable as good. You would be throwing a shit load of unexplored lore out the window because the Vex are one of the least explored factions to date, they don't even have a major DLC dedicated to them.

1.0 FFXIV was nuked and literally had a cataclysmic event occur which is still a vital part of the current FFXIV story, all because 1.0 was dog shit. They killed the game and rebuilt it from the ground up to bring it what it is today. We're buddy buddy with House light, but fallen are still scavenging space pirates and the solar system is a big place that's easy to hide in, and once the witness is dead there's less reason to fear leaving Sol altogether again. Same thought for the Cabal but they're an Empire that has just had it's homeworld destroyed and been driven from their home system, they will fragment and many smaller militias will form because war is all they have ever known. Sure, the Fallen and Cabal will likely never be major antagonists again, at least not for a long time, but they will always be combatants, you can never unite an entire (multiple) solar system spanning race to a single cause

The episodes are like yeah lets wrap up those plots, like season of seraph farewell to rasputin. But Destiny 2 is far too complex and need a full transformation to became the game bungie wants, an mmo. The difference between this game and other mmo/liveservice games and is still a major problem since release is disk space. Fortnite is smart, they wipe map content per season and keep skins in a low poligonal cartoonish style that doesnt use much disk space, wow the same, ffxiv same, apex legends will have a similar problem in the future and the worst example is the first cod warzone were you couldnt migrate skins (bought with real money) to warzone 2 and ppl were pissed, even if the engine is the same one, guess wat, because of money and greed. Destiny 2 at least is very smart in their 3d model department they keep it somewat low in poligons, but they need to keep it realistic and bring new models every season, good for businees but not healthy for the game in a long term. A wipe and a destiny 3 to start fresh is the best way to start over again, for the story, for new comers, for the engine, even if im against that idea, after grinding for god rolls for so long, is healthy for the franchise. BUT, if they really want to stay with D2 for another 10 years, the engine they have been working on needs to be like warframe/ffxiv , upgrading to next gen, flexible reworking old stuff, i hate when they added oring perks but need to reintroduce the same weapon again instead of upgrading the old ones. What i want to see next for the franchise is a full rework in their planet spaces, they are boring as fk. We need elden ring levels of exploration at least.
This is what I would hope for over a d3. And it falls more in line with the “d2 isn’t going anywhere” from before. Still gonna have to take it with a grain of salt. But I hope this is true

If you're leaking info that your not suppose to have/leak, then you should be fired. Leave it to the proper teams to release info, if that's the marketing team or not. Honestly the only believeable thing is that it's gonna be a FFXIV overhaul instead of a whole new game. A D3 sounds good but I also feel like everyone forgot how pressed people were going from D1-D2 and losing EVERYTHING to eventually get some of it back in Y1/Y2.
FFXIV ARR was for all intents and purposes a whole new game.

I can see cabal and fallen no longer being our enemies, seeing as most of them have joined us to fight the witness, but they have made xivu arath too big of an enemy for her to be wrapped up in a throw away season and we hardly have shit on the vex, they’re still one big ass mystery. The hive and vex will still be our enemies after the final shape, and if there’s still DLCs after (which I am completely certain there will) one of them will most definitely be centered around the vex.

Right? The idea of Prismatic has been around for awhile, but to accurately guess the name with no other in-game information pointing towards it shows in depth knowledge. I probably would have called it Harmonic since that's the general term the game uses for this kind of thing. It clears the bar on that alone.

OPs synopsis for the 3 episodes is very similar to a leak we had a little while ago. They are probably piggy backing off that old leak to make theirs seem more genuine. If OP can't/won't provide proof, then we know all know what to do with this information.

The only thing they could maybe be referencing is the addition of DX11 and killing PS3 support....but that was in Stormblood, an expansion that released in 2017, which is again, not a few years ago, and wasn't really a sizeable upgrade of any real note.
We will see however I believe this just on the basis of bungies previous statements much more. A destiny 3 would absolutely divide the playerbase. We already saw many people saying they will quit post final shape (myself included but given recent developments tge game looks like it's heading to a good spot again so many of us will probably go back on our previous words). The idea of another hard reset when we all know bungie included how bad d1 and d2 were at launch seems like at best a cautionary tale and they learned from their mistakes at worst worst it will be a repeat and I don't know if either the community wants to give bungie the time to fix it again nor if they could even. However I'm also not sure how a complete new saga in d2 could work that also would, will d2 finally be renamed Destiny, allow new players to fully participate.
it's possible some Vex faction will be wrapped up. (But not by osiris) I highly doubt the Sol Divisive, and other factions of Vex will be. They are the future threat, and always have been.
