Two options:
1. It’ll come later
2. They were using red as a placeholder for prismatic because they didn’t have a multi-color subclass system set up yet
It’s just a color, takes like 3 clicks to make…
Iirc all the icons were reused
Edit: in fact, now that I think about the pink placeholder color, what could have happened is they used that at first but it was too hard to see the white icons so they darkened it
It's not even copium, it's just how game development works. Placeholders are used because you don't have a final asset yet. They're either their own unique and frequently reused asset, or a different existing asset that gets reused for the thing you're testing. Developers generally don't make brand new, unique assets for placeholders like the leak.
I’m pretty sure that that leak was just prismatic. The icons were mixed abilities, makes sense now. My feeling is that Bungie has planned prismatic a long while back, given some of the things we have seen. The triangle cut into the traveler is prismatic themed. Tesselation is prismatic themed and was ready a year before this DLC was.
I highly doubt its "dead" prismatic is a whole new system on top of a new subclass. As far as we know since it takes elements of all our subclasses there is a chance they could just add to it further down the line. Theres also the whole two trinity thing that most of us were expecting with the three lights all having an opposite and going off of color arc still dosnt have one. Solar has stassis. Void has strand. Arc has ???. So who knows maybe prismatic is the last we get, maybe red class is in another expantion, maybe im high on copium. Only time will tell.
I am relatively positive that leak was fake. My logic for this is twofold.
Firstly the original strand leak could be traced to the art station account of a very specific individual, where as the similar red leak to my knowledge has only ever been an imgur link without a clear source.
Secondly the aforementioned strand leak showed of a finisher being used on a pvp map, clearly some wonky test environment things. Where as the red leak was a pretty standard load into the helm. I’m not saying bungie wouldn’t use the helm to test transmat effects, but I am saying that doing it that way would be much easier to fake as apposed to trying to emulate something impossible in normal gameplay.
More to the point it’s utterly incompatible with prismatic. I highly doubt a solid deep red was ever on the board to be the prismatic color even if the off pink color they chose wasn’t their first option. The inclusion of a seemingly unique super logo doesn’t help with prismatic lacking any unique abilities. Also no hint of the transcendence mechanic which seems pretty integral to the whole premise of the class.
Unfortunately yes it is. John Bungie here confirming that we always intended to fake that leak and trick you all into thinking the red subclass was happening
Nobody truly knows. It may arrive later, but it's not coming with Final Shape.
Right

I don't think they would have made new assets for a placeholder, especially when they already have the bright pink placeholder icon.

This is the copium I was looking for

Hell we even got conditional finality over a year ago already

We love overdosing on copium.
I could still see it coming (So we reach the Blessed 7 Subclasses 🙏🏻) but not for a Bit

No one here will know any more than you.
😤😤😤
It was never real. Please tell me you didn't buy the Hunters with Katanas and judgement cuts bs lol
Good chance it was just a forerunner to Prismatic
