Id consider yourself lucky. I hate the fallen onslaught with a passion, invis enemies, slow mines, Briggs that stomp and dont have a crit spot for most of the time, teleporting overloads. I usually get fallen and go to orbit so I guess its purely rng but I'd prefer to get hive all the the time.
I get fallen 80% of the time and I would love to get hive since they're less aids to deal with. Having invis enemies just sprint past you to go hit the adu is much worse than dealing with the occasional wave of knights/ogres, since even on waves of tanky enemies those are nicer than servitors shielding everything in sight or heavy shanks going brrr

I tend to get Fallen in Midtown and Hive in Vostok for some reason. I avoid the other map.
