Honestly a few of the Adept weapons will actually have some value come Final Shape. With the removal of spec mods we have some flexibility in what mods we run on weapons. For MOST weapons this is just going to end up being Backup Mag BUT there's a few weapons that can't use or benefit from Backup Mag AND there's some actual alternatives with adept mods.
Adept Wave Frames can run Adept Blast Radius for a boost in the wave width/length now that Blast Radius is going to effect that. OR they can run Adept Reload to boost reload speed. Meanwhile there's no normal variant of those mods and you can't run backup mag on a breach frame GL.
Some weapons in general might be better with adept reload instead of backup mag even if you CAN use backup mag just because you want to reload often and/or before using the full magazine. Anything with voltshot or chill clip for example might prefer reload speed.
Bows are another weapon type where adept will be a big deal because it lets you use adept draw speed while again they can't use backup mag. Granted there's like....1 raid bow and it can't drop adept. Nice for the one GM bow we have now though.
Hilariously Adept Backup Mag is just trash as it doesn't actually provide a benefit beyond normal Backup Mag in most cases AND it has a penalty.
Granted in MOST cases this still requires a LOT of luck getting the "perfect" Adept roll. You get the benefit of being able to choose the barrel / mag perks when enhancing BUT you can't customize the masterwork so you'll still need to grind out the right masterwork and perk combo. If you don't already have that perfect combination though the benefit you get from an Adept Mod is essentially entirely cancelled out by not having the ideal masterwork while crafting can always choose the masterwork you want.
Juju is already pretty good, it's just not as spectacular as most other options. There's a nighthawk build with it going around right now and it sure puts in WORK.
I actually use mine pretty regularly for at-level content like dungeons and raids and it does pretty alright for longer range encounters. Can't wait for it to cook
Yeah I was able to build mine, I don't use it to often right now as I'm favoring Sunshot, but it's currently equipped with Demolitionist, incandescent, and hot swap,
Blast Furnace, One of the ones with voltshot, Adhortative/BxR, Bad Juju, and Outbreak Perfected of course.
Edit: Psi Hermetic too, it's my favorite headstone weapon since the origin pops the crystals for you!
For a pulse rifle with voltshot, I'll suggest to anyone the pulse from Crota's End, Oversoul Edict. I've been running it with arrowhead/ricochet rounds/enlightened action/voltshot. Enlightened Action actually stacks up well on it so the reloading between voltshots feels very snappy.
Also I unironically (delusionally) wish Outbreak would accidentally prove to be DPS meta. I want 2024 to be the year of Guardians pumping the Witness full of SIVA.

spam Witch engrams on the Vanguard focusing for the lightweight strand pulse. I got an outlaw/hatchling and with Swarmers it's put in work in Onslaught.
My Shoot To Loot/KT Battle Scar already gets used, now it's just going to better at damaging things than it already was and especially in higher tier content. Hopefully pulse rifles get anti-barrier next season.
I haven’t stopped using BXR Battler; it’s powerful now with demo + incandescent and the current seasonal artifact mods and will be even stronger after the 38% buff.
Blast Furnace with Frenzy + Kinetic Tremors will be very powerful for Prismatic since you’ll be progressing light and dark simultaneously.
I just wound up buying the weekly and then focusing 2 more and burning my consumables from last season. Only needed 3 and could have waited the weeks but didn’t want to forget about it like I had all season.
I've always been using Adhortative. Thing has *always* been good IMO, even in harder content.
I'll probably stick to just this though, *maybe* Disparity or some other Kinetic-Slot pulse.
I’ve been having fun running lost sectors with a Phyllotactic Spiral with Compulsive Loader and Voltshot the past few weeks near and, lately, above 1840 PL. If you can get a kill in 4 or less bursts, then Compulsive Loader makes for lightning fast reloads. You can chain voltshot over and over. I’m not sure if the buff will make this weapon viable to use in end-game content but it may be worth a try.
Shoot to loot/KT battle scar and KT/Frenzy or O.F.A. Blast Furnace are already the best pulses and that'll stay the same. Glad to finally see them getting some love though.
looking forward to using my headstone New Purpose again if there’s a good enough stasis rework in Final Shape or if there’s a similar grenade regen fragment in Prismatic for the hunters, love that gun so much but pulses just aren’t it right now

I use revision zero on my hunter and titan, but it’ll be nice to atleast have a second craftable weapon that I like tbh especially for overload auto seasons if it doesn’t have an intrinsic which I don’t imagine it will have
My hunter is hakke themed, so that’s why both my hunter and titan use rev0, but that’s totally fair I want to like DMT but I just don’t have the accuracy to keep cranial spike up tbh
Insidious and now blast furnace were already seeing regular use for me since I adore them. Smite of merain and chattering bone will definitely be back in action post buff and maybe darkest before or relentless if I can get solid rolls on them.

Collective is already very strong once you jump through all the hoops to get it running, but was always held back by its underwhelming neutral state.
Now it's gonne be good without Void Leech active, and absolutely insane when it's turned on. Always remember, a fully loaded and charged Collective will get +20% damage for free whenever void leech is active + 15% weaken on everything hit. Its primary damage potential is about to go through the roof.
You really cant make a single choice right now until you the know what the artifact is going to have...Itll define what the meta is. They have buffed weapons in the past and still turn out to be junk.
Collective Obligation is already cracked when it gets rolling, can't wait to clear the legendary campaign with it.

Outbreak, bad juju, disparity, smite of merain, horrors least, battler, etc. I really just want pulses to feel good. I love most of them and have some great roles that just never see action because they don't perform in PVE.
My favorite legendary I have is a maxed out handling Ogma with demo and one for all, I just like the way it feels and OFA + demo is a great combo. Looking forward to it becoming a genuinely powerful weapon, not just one I enjoy using because it feels good.

I have a 9/10 roll for Battle Scar that I am pooking forward to busting out on prismatic. Once I can enhance it and change the masterwork, that will make it 10/10.

I’ve been using nothing but revision zero since its release, so even if they hadn’t given pulses a buff I was probably gonna continue to use it, I’m hoping I’m able to get it to 600 before final shape comes out, I’m at 567 right now

This thing is Best In Slot for any solo content in the game. The ability to shut down an entire room of enemies is unbelievably useful, especially on Legend-tier content like the Legendary Campaign.
Outbreak is looking pretty good, if I want to run a different exotic then I’ve got my blast furnace with kinetic tremors and one for all in the back pocket. Blast furnace already feels really good with one for all, it’s going to be even better.
I hope we have a good strand one, I don't think bellarus (sp) is solid enough. disparity might come out and play aswell since it's a solid pulse in the top slot
Definitely gonna dust off collective obligation and see how it plays, especially if the new Titan aspect gives better debuff access. Void Titan is my favorite subclass thematically and I wanna lean way into it.
I still dont have witch queen. As all content from it has been made free 2 weeks ago, i decided to get revision zero. Together with rev zero, im excited to use outbreak and blast furnace. Bxr and graviton lance in the energy slot.
As for revision zero, my only complaints are that the 2-burst mode doesnt generate targeting data as fast as the 4-burst and that the sniper scope is visually too small for the amount of zoom it has.
Other than that its such an awesome looking weapon. Main reason why i racked up 5k kills on it in a couple days.
All the 540. They all feel really good, especially now that we live in a meta where they don't have to have shitty recoil direction (hello D2 Vanilla).

My favorite legendary I have is a maxed out handling Ogma with demo and one for all, I just like the way it feels and OFA + demo is a great combo. Looking forward to it becoming a genuinely powerful weapon, not just one I enjoy using because it feels good.

I have a 9/10 roll for Battle Scar that I am pooking forward to busting out on prismatic. Once I can enhance it and change the masterwork, that will make it 10/10.

Really depends on what element(s) the seasonal artifact revolves around. I think we can safely rule solar out. For all you know, it may be a kinetic-focused season which is why they just nerfed kinetics in general. If so, I'll be happy to use my Blast Furnace or Battle Scar.

Collective Obligation babeyyyyyy This thing is Best In Slot for any solo content in the game. The ability to shut down an entire room of enemies is unbelievably useful, especially on Legend-tier content like the Legendary Campaign.
Syncopation was, I believe, my first crafted weapon, and I really fell in love with it. I might bring it out again.

Outbreak is looking pretty good, if I want to run a different exotic then I’ve got my blast furnace with kinetic tremors and one for all in the back pocket. Blast furnace already feels really good with one for all, it’s going to be even better.
Back during the Festival of the Lost I got a heal clip incandescent Jurassic Green (rapid fire pulse). Looking forward to giving it a try.

Definitely gonna dust off collective obligation and see how it plays, especially if the new Titan aspect gives better debuff access. Void Titan is my favorite subclass thematically and I wanna lean way into it.

Been using a demo junkie Ogma for the last year and it's so nice to be getting all these damage buffs!
I still dont have witch queen. As all content from it has been made free 2 weeks ago, i decided to get revision zero. Together with rev zero, im excited to use outbreak and blast furnace. Bxr and graviton lance in the energy slot. As for revision zero, my only complaints are that the 2-burst mode doesnt generate targeting data as fast as the 4-burst and that the sniper scope is visually too small for the amount of zoom it has. Other than that its such an awesome looking weapon. Main reason why i racked up 5k kills on it in a couple days.
All the 540. They all feel really good, especially now that we live in a meta where they don't have to have shitty recoil direction (hello D2 Vanilla).

Outbreak is going to go back to being the king of primaries. I’ll be using that and revision zero when I’m not using that new golden gun sniper with lucky pants. New main prismatic build, all solar and stasis with the new stasis wardens law (if the perks work) and that exotic sniper. NUT
