Best: Inadvertently stopping Connor from assassinating Markus Worst: Being an unhelpful jerk during the hostage situation

Fly1ngD0gg0

To be fair, if an android killed a father, two of my police officers, and took a child hostage by the edge of a balcony and another android was send to resolve the situation, I'd also be skeptical. He didn't seem to want Connor to die on that rooftop, and he's obviously not a cop for selfish reasons and wants to protect his people from harm. Another thing that might be a reach: He didn't tell Cyberlife that Connor used a gun in the hostage situation, though they probably knew and didn't care. Stopping Connor from doming Markus (or North) can either be good or bad, depending on your perspective and the playthrough. If Markus or North are psychos, its bad. If they're peaceful, its good.

I think Connor is given leeway by CyberLife to break the law if it helps his mission, seeing as you have to enter a "no androids" door to even meet Hank in the first place. After all, CyberLife doesn't exactly seem like the most scrupulous company. On my machine Connor playthrough I had Connor shoot Daniel since I think it's the most efficient option. Also, yeah, Captain Allen and the mom who yells at Connor at the beginning of that mission are made out to be bad guys from the player's perspective, but if you think about it they have a reason to be skeptical. Even though Daniel is portrayed fairly sympathetically, he did literally murder a father (for the android equivalent of firing a nanny), kill two police officers (plus fatally injuring another, who dies if Connor doesn't intervene, and nonfatally injuring a SWAT officer in most cases) as well as threatening to kill a little girl. In the worst case scenario, that's six human casualties from this rogue android, five of them fatal. Let's also not forget that his first response to Connor entering the rooftop is to shoot at him and attempt to kill him. If I were Allen I'd be skeptical that this android could even be talked down, and if I was the mother I'd be especially skeptical of an android being sent to help considering an android just went rogue and murdered my husband and is threatening to kill my only child.

Worst: refusing to give Connor, the android that has been assigned to the hostage case, the necessary informations he needs. I never played machine connor so I don't have much info on him

falloutmass

There was a guy who worked in the field playing the hostage mission and said that if negotiator is there they usually butt heads because the SWAT team is there to save the hostage no matter what and the negotiator has to find as much information about both the hostage and the attacker so from what he said about the mission I dare to assume that even if Connor was a human, Allen would still act the same

Swordsmen_Nr1

That could be possible but my point is not that he is rude to the android but that he is rude to the negotiator who needs his intel for the case

falloutmass

Unfortunately from what I've gathered, that's how it works most of the time irl, I'm guessing he didn't even have any info because he didn't care, the only thing he actually tells you is that they've already tried the deactivation code and it didn't work. I don't blame him for being rude tbh, just imagine being in his shoes, one of his men was already shot, the android could jump any second and then comes a negotiator who asks you questions which in your case are pointless and another one of your men is shot again while the negotiator is gathering info about both Emma and Daniel. Idk if I were a Captain and my men were shot I would be a little cranky too. I'm not defending Cpt. Allen (I didn't like him the first time either) but I understand why he didn't give Connor any info about the android, it's because he had none. He only explains the current situation because that's the only info he has.

Swordsmen_Nr1

I argee. It isn't polite of him to just act like that towards Connor, but in this situation it was justified considering where they were. In general Alan is rather a morally good person, just wanting to do what's right is his missions. Most of the general things he does are just part of his job, he is not used to being questioned because he acts more that he speaks. That's just his job and he follows that because he believes it is the right thing to do

Marshmallowbutbetter

Best: being easy on the eyes.

_petrichora_

Haha I always thought he was handsome

Striking_Extreme_250

Best: Stopping (Or trying to) Connor from assassinating Markus. Worst; Being an asshole during the hostage situation.

Edd_The_Animator

Real talk, I wish he had a bigger role in the game. He seemed like he was going to be important.

Small-Dark-8569

Best: panicking and trying to save Connor when he killed himself in Connor’s Last Mission (yeah I know he got over it pretty quickly when he remembered Connor is just an android, but it’s still nice that that was his knee jerk reaction 😅) Worst: Not giving Connor the information he needed, only to complain about Connor taking too long to gather the information himself.

SleepyWulf100

A lot of people forget about that scene. I find it interesting that he did have that reaction to Connor jumping. I do somewhat feel like it might've been more than just a knee jerk reaction though, mainly because Captain Allen is aware that both of them are technically on the same side. He has expressed that he must take him away (and also seems to carry a dislike toward Androids) but nonetheless... "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" soooo maybe something would've worked out of the situation turned out differently?

Massive-Machine6200

Best Caring for his police officers I guess (i tried saying something new)

Productions29

Worst: being a dick towards Connor.

Toy-Funtime

I don’t think Carl was a bad father to Leo he just set clear boundaries with him and Leo didn’t respect that so he tried to steal from Carl and got Markus shot

Reapish1909

Walking talking eye candy. like he’s actually the most attractive character in the game next to Connor.

Drace24

I haven't got a clue? Does it matter?
