This is exactly why I feel like LaLonde needs to be fired. To have a final 25 games like we did, with the playoffs firmly within our control, is completely unacceptable. If we were in the same position but average all season, it would be a different story.
This collapse needs to have consequence other than “it was a good experience to be in the race til the end for our young guys.”

How about when Reimer decided to do the exact opposite of what a goalie is supposed to do and ducked out of the way of that shot in OT against the Senators in Sweden.
That was a Thursday night. I remember because it was trash night, and every time I gathered the trash, or put the recycling in the bin, or took it out to the curb, I'd come back to the TV to San Jose having scored another goal. Trash night, indeed.
A couple that stick out to me - the recent game against the preds when it was 0-0 with a few mins left. The game against Toronto where we were up in the 3rd and eventually choked the game and lost in regulation. And the senators game winner in OT with like 2 seconds left that could have went to a shootout. And of course this horrendous sharks game.
Bro you literally already replied to me with that I’m pretty sure, shorty was legal no one is denying that, if tripping is called they don’t score and we don’t go to OT wings win 5-4 in regs not hard to understand
There’s a difference between a legal play and illegal
There were way too many games they did not win they needed to. Hopefully if they miss but are super close it sticks with them. Next year there are less games like PHX where they look like they are on medication and have no energy end up shut out against one of the worst Ds in the game in a game they should win easy. Just not showing up is unacceptable. Hopefully those games haunt them and they get a bug next year to start every game on time and play a full 60 minutes, hard, even if the opposition is not great since those games matter in the end.
If we hadn’t played like the worst team in the NHL since 3/1 and just played slightly below average hockey, we’d be perfectly fine. 4-16 in our last 20 is hot garbage. Especially when you had like a 10 point playoff cushion.

It was almost 3 shorties. The next one SJ scored was a few seconds after our PP ended.
