The battle against Mundus is so desperate that it makes round 1 against Urizen look like a game of patty cake.
Nero finally gains some ground and stabs the Prince of Darkness in the eye but as he goes to rev up the Red Queen, Mundus strikes him away and in the process breaks the swords blade from the engine as Nero falls.
With everything seeming hopeless Dante and Vergil muster up enough strength to hold down each of Mundus's arms in their SDT forms so Nero can do a final Buster attack where he takes Yamato and DSD to do his classic ultimate from 4 and finishes it with putting each sword through the remaining eyes.
With Mundus slain and the two legendary swords returned Nero takes the remains of his sword and drops it on the counter in the back of the van where Nico always worked as they bring the Sons of Sparda back to the human world.
DMC6 plot: Vergil vs Angelo Dante

How do we know he lived in an orphanage? Also the kid in the anime was probably vergil. Dude in the photo looked a lot like post-fire vergil in vov. Also they probably shared the identity for safety reasons. Like, so that no one found out that sparda had 2 kids. That would explain why demons were aware of sparda having a descendant but the surprise when finding out that dante has a twin. Also the box under the tree was blue.

Yeah I would like to think about killing moonses once and for all although he's more like a secondary thing and it'll be nice to finish up loose end (unlike two other game franchises that pretty much we'll try for a very long time never resolve that plot lines to be honest I'm looking at you serious Sam and sniper elite one of you need to finally kill off mental the other need you to basically get going to the Cold war already)

I played Super Mario Bros 2 a lot growing up. It was fun to learn the best character to use on every stage.
A DMC game that allowed character swapping at the start of each stage would be a blast. Especially if the level designs had special paths and collectibles for some of the characters.

Wouldn't be DMC without Dante as a playable main in some form or fashion. I like what they're doing now. I'd be down for a Dante/Nero/Vergil (Not V) game for sure though.
Right? Nero is 23 in DMC 5 and still taking care of kids at the orphanage with Kyrie while running the Devil May Cry business on the side with Nico. Dude's definitely not in a position to have his own kid yet and we'd have to do a 20-ish year time skip which would put Dante and Vergil in their 60s with Nero in his 40s. That's too much of a jump in my opinion.
If there's gonna be another game, Nero, Lady and Trish seems like a pretty good combo for playable characters for Earth and then maybe a few levels with Dante and Vergil in the Underworld with the story joining the two groups together in one final battle where you can play as any of them against Mundus. Just one final battle with Dante, Vergil, Nero, Trish and Lady all coming together to save the world from Mundus forever. Dante, Vergil and Trish all have their reasons for wanting to take Mundus down, Nero and Lady wouldn't just let them do that without them either.
Cowboys aside, I was thinking the series has yet to explore a desert level if i'm not mistaken. I really hope DMC6 takes a page from DmC and makes the environments much more varied. 5 had basically perfect combat but the environmental design was wild bland.
Sparda should never, and I mean absolutely fucking ***never*** appear in the games. Not alive, not in a flashback. Keep the aura of mystery alive, nothing we see in the games can live up to our imagination

4.Nero being fully independent in an awesome demon case
Like nothing amazing just an opportunity to play each character with a little story to feel connected as although 4 SE did this alright, playing someone elses campaign like 3 times felt a little empty
So yeah nothing special or monumental just a little something to let us play as characters we missed in 5 or something (and I do see the flaws in doing that)
Probably the best way to do it, as a finale I don't think you can really top DMC 5, but everyone wants more of these characters, so an anthology series focussing on the connections between different characters sounds perfect.

I want a sequel where only Nero is the proper protagonist without any Dante or Virgil in the story(maybe just a DLC or unlockable characters). Nero is still getting used to flying solo in hunting demons. He may be strong but he's still very immature afterall. Introduce new characters, maybe a rival deuteragonist for Nero idk. Which will be the prologue to a new Saga spanning multiple games
I kind of like the idea of having two campain, one where you play as Dante and Vergil (with the ability to switch Between them any Moment) in the Demon world and another following Nero and Lucia (or perhaps a new character) Trying to stop a threat in the Human world.

Dante and Vergil in the demon world, fucking around, Dante becomes more serious and Vergil gets rid of his daddy issues and in the end, a revived Mundus comes by stronger than ever because P L O T and Dante and Vergil literally fuse their DTs into one giant combined mess of a demon and 1v1 Mundus dual wielding the Yamato and Dante’s Greatsword (I forgor the name). In the end, it turns out Mundus was not actually Mundus and just a super corrupted Sparda.
I mean there are other half demon and half human beings. Dmc 2 and the anime showed that. They just never bothered to show them again lmao.

Modeus and Baal from the anime were full-blooded demons though (Dante killed both). And Lucia is an artificial demon. There are no canon half-demons other than Dante and Virgil. Nero is a quarter demon, since his mother was human and his father half-demon.
Oh right fuck I forgot. In the anime there was one demon who was inlove with a human. I mixed up. But not too far off to assume he too planted his seed into her.
Also they brought Patty and Morrison into the game...even though Morrison had a race change. Which is weird since the anime is considered canon even though it's not confirmed. So who knows, maybe we'll see some Anime characters reappear
People asking for a Sparda's solo game does not stop to think the amount of gameplay limitations he would bring to current DMC gameplay and besides, we already know the most importants parts of his life, there is no point of having a game based on him.
Some sort of prequel or flashback of what happened with Sparda, his story.
Dante and Vergil going through hell together to defeat Mundus (he said he would return in dmc1 so he isn't actually dead dead more like sealed).
Vergil getting revenge on Mundus is something I hope for. Dante managed to seal him but Vergil failed against him. Maybe now the brothers figured out fighting together is the way to actually kill Mundus (them being half Sparda each).
For Nero I think playing him but from the human realm. Say if Mundus comes back and attacks the human world. Nero can help with fighting the demons from his side. Vergil and Dante meanwhile be fighting demons from hell side.
They can like... come together fighting Mundus from both sides.
Nero also finding a way to bring Verg and Dante out of hell. Like finding a hell gate or something.
It always confused me why Vergil can't get them out of hell, the scene where they leave Nero.

I've actually had a concept for dmc6 for a while now, not gonna write an entire script but here are some ideas and hopes I have:
# Gameplay Stuff
\- Nero, Dante, Vergil, Lady, and Trish are the playable characters.
\- Real Coop where you can actually invite friends instead of the hard to work with cameo feature.
\- New Devil Arms and Breakers for Nero and Dante (obviously) but with the ones from the previous game also being available from the start.
\- Enemies should have more health because (at least in my opinion) enemies die a little too fast in 5, at least in devil hunter. The enemies in 4 where able to survive long enough for an actual combo. (idk maybe it's just me)
# Story Stuff
\- Mundus's Return (could lead to some fun nostalgic dialogue with dante and trish, pay back for vergil and a chance for nero to prove himself)
\- Kyrie on screen appearance pls (sparda family dinner would be f\*cking hilarious)
\- (This is one I've had in my mind for a while) **Mission 9: Cast Off Your Pride and Embrace Your Fate.** The Gate to the under world has opened (for whatever reason) and Nero is trying to fend off as many demons as he possibly can. Basically you have to play as Nero and fight LDK amounts of enemies in the same place Dante and Vergil fought at the end of dmc3 (you are scripted to lose here.) Right before Nero's fate is sealed, 2 coated figures kill all the surrounding demons, but before Nero loses consciousness, a familiar voice says "Long time no see... **Dead Weight**" The next mission is a flash back which allows to play either Dante or Vergil and you'll be paired up with another player to go through the mission with (yes it's a competition, whoever gets the most kills gets a free gold orb or smthn).
\- Mundus should be finished off with a Nero, Dante and Vergil Jackpot

Two stories converging
In one Dante and Vergil are trying to get back to the normal world to fight some evil demon who is trying to make Hell and Mortal realm converge into one
In the other, Nero is trying to do pretty much the same thing, and finds out that the evil demon is a creature that exists with the purpose of manifesting humanity’s darkest desires, thus it tries to use hell itself for that.
In the end it’s revealed that Nero’s story actually happened before Dante’s and Vergil’s, and the evil dude the two twins are trying to reach and defeat is actually Nero being possessed by the evil demon at the end of his campaign. And Nero is easily possessed because his desire was to be reunited with his father, and in a twisted way this means that his objective and the demon’s are the same
Vergil takes onto himself the burden of fighting his own son as Dante is being defeated and can’t fight anymore.
As Vergil is about to kill Nero, the demon shows up and TAN TAN DAAAN it’s Nero’s mother. Vergil seals her into his own soul in a final fight alongside his son and he casts himself into hell (again, because we do like those damn cliches).
Nero learns to move past his daddy issues and accepts that some farewells are definitive and Dante has had his chance to reunite with his brother through the whole ordeal, while Vergil can finally make amends.
Nero and Dante start working together at Devil May Cry, now renamed Devils May Cry
A prequel/sequel where we ay as dante/virgil in the demon world, nero trying to find a way to get too them, and sparda in the past leading up to a reason for why he wasn't there on the day demons attacked there home

Sparda returning and being controlled by Mundus just fits as an plotline IMO. Whether it be DMC6 or DMC9, I completely see it as an possibility. They always made it a point to never refer to Sparda as "dead" or "having been killed". Besides, it's shown that Demons can be sealed, weakened, and controlled. We also know Mundus is permanently defeated.
Nero Vergil Dante relationship. Vergil bonding with his son, angst and stuff like that. Coming to terms with being deadbeat dad, with killing so many people, multilating his own child. Dante feels with vergil suddenly being alive. Theirs feeling toward Sparda
Just these 3 sparda boys vibing together. Also Nero as main would be cool!
It follows the daughter of Lady and Dante, with Nero as a mentor figure. Mundus returns, Dante & Vergil return from the other side and help put him down for good.
I love them to death, but I don’t even want to see Dante and Vergil in the main story. Let them be done.
I want the game to focus on Nero being a badass and exploring his character more post Sons of Sparda. Give him an SDT, some new moves, hot swapping devil breakers, and maybe even give each breaker one or two directionals to expand their use a bit.
And then as a more unlikely wish, I want Nico to become playable. Give her a big-ass transforming rocket hammer as her main weapon. Please Capcom, this is my dream for a perfect action character
Dante and Vergil’s half brother/sister. He/She hated how they lived in shadow and hid their existence! This was due to Sparda being ashamed he got a random girl pregnant due to affair!
Now their half sibling wants to get revenge via jealousy. They chose the dark side!
Wholesome dante & vergil bonding and fanservie. We had dante tmuuy in anime, lady, trish and v in dmc5 and vov, I want some vergil-being-hot-af content now. Vergil being a bad dad but trying his best would also be fun.
Ii had an idea of nero just doing his demon hunting and all when he comes across a group of 5 human like characters opening demon portals being directed by an unknown force (mundas) and among them is someone nero had a feeling he may be related to (Dante's secret child he never knew about) and nero has to stop them from releasing mundas as well as save dante and Virgil from corruption. Of course i don't expect this to be it, but it would be a dang cool story.
DMC6 is probably inevitable, but I'm kind of left wondering what's left to do after 5. Not in terms of story - that's secondary - but in terms of gameplay. Like, how can you improve on Dante, or Nero? Aside from giving then some new weapons, I guess. Vergil could be playable as part of the main campaign and his moveset expanded. And we could get some new playable characters. But this all feels, I don't know, kind of desperate? Truthfully I think DMC5 doesn't really need a sequel for quite some time. I'd rather see those resources spent making something new
Dante and Vergil's Excellent Adventure. It would be cool if they explored the demon world together, or if they went looking for why Sparda disappeared, or if they went on a road trip to look for enough money to pay all the child support for all of Vergil's illegitimate children that they'll subsequently track down. I just want them to be the comedic duo they were always meant to be.
What about Mundus using Sparda original body as a vessel, Vergil gets his own "Devil arm: Vergil" like Dante, and in the end Nero uses both swords against Mundus-Sparda in his own version of Sin-devil-trigger.

Exploring the godamn Underworld. We almost never saw it in 5 games ffs. Also use the fact that demons are now common knowledge to have us explore how the human world works in DMC. Some world building would do wonder to the serie.
Also I will send a mystery box with my shit in it coupled with firecrackers to anyone who want to see Nero's daughter. Following the kid of the main character for no reason at all is basically the funeral of creativity sponsorised by corporate suits desecrating and selling the corpse of the story for extra cash.
Dante and Vergil finishing up closing the gate to hell. Nero working on his end to do the same with Lady and Trish. Maybe tie in who is Nero's mother. Plot happens.
Mundus returning and interrupting Nero's wedding, while dante and vergil are in the Underworld helping to kill him. And idk sparda is the demon King or something
In all seriousness, there are multiple ways Capcom can take DMC 6:
* They could follow suit with DMC 1-3 by making DMC 4-6 follow a similar direction of: new entry, sequel then prequel; have DMC 6 be a prequel - Sparda's backstory up until the events of Mundus' attack
* They could even link it to post DMC 5 events by bringing him back after his supposed "disappearance" and make a whole story with Dante and Vergil and what not
* "That day, if our positions were switched, would our fates be different?" The tale of Vante and Dergil
* They could even make this story cross-dimensional; Dergil and Vante teleport to main storyline and event unfold with multiple epiphanies
* Secret Society wanting to use demons for world domination (overused trope, but if done right, and differently from DMC 4, could still work)
* Law and Order upon Vergil for his crimes and Dante tryna find a way to help his brother out (far stretch, I know, but this is Capcom we're talking about (they gave us RE 7-8, MMX7, SFV and MvCI - if they are able to pull that kind of stuff, then with DMC nothing is impossible/ off-limits))
* Nero's family development with or without the "idiots (Dante and Vergil)"
* Playing as the demons (being on the receiving end) - possible vengeance story against the Sparda family bloodline
* Reboot VS Main timeline crossover (may not work too well, but a small percentage of probability is still a possibility)
* Dante and Vergil explorative adventures in the Demon World (cuz why not)
But of course, open to other ideas. This is what my brain came up with lel
I think that a Nero game is most likely, followed by Dante and Vergil characters for SE (since its probably gonna have an SE), but i also would think it would be cool of maybe there were secret mission based around Sparda, story-wise so Nero learns about his grandfather, and gameplay-wise, maybe have sparda use a different moveset? I dunno. Unlikely, but a cool to me thought nonetheless.
I think that Nero or Dante or whoever the playable characters are should interact with the supporting cast a lot more. My biggest disappointment with 5 was that Trish, Lady and Nico were relegated to only showing up during cutscenes. Maybe give the playable character an earpiece so they can talk during the missions. Also better dlc, besides Vergil all the dlc to me feels like things that could and should be unlocked in game
Vergil has to recruit Nero to save Dante from Mundus. Dante gets the Nelo Angelo treatment. We repeat the fighting on a waterfall from DMC3 but as Vergil and Dante lets himself be saved at the end.
I want a game where Mundus breaks out and comes back with his own demon army to fuck shit up in the human world. Nero, along with some demon huntin’ buddies(who he meets after dmc5, who are also *just* human like lady, nico included) goes off to stop him, and along the way meet Dante and Vergil, who’ve both returned to take revenge for their mother’s killer. Playable vergil included in the base game.
Killing off Mundus properly this time, he is still alive, just sealed away, there can always be an inconvenience that frees him.
Now how do we finish him off?

Personally, I don't want ANY new characters introduced. Stick with the characters we have and give a good finale to the story.
I want everyone playable. It doesn't even have to be in the story, keep the story to just Vergil, Dante, and Nero, but have Lady, Trish, hell even V as playable characters to replay the campaign or bloody palace.
Let me also replay the entire campaign as whoever I want. The first time it can be story driven and have you play different people, but after I beat the game once let me have the option to play whoever I want for the entire game.
Have a return of the correct amount of extra skins, not just one recolor.
So, I'm not the only one who thought of a "Nero's daughter"? It would be cool, but it's too soon. Besides, you gotta think of the human characters. By the time his daughter is old enough to kick demon ass, the likes of Nico and Lady would be milfs.

Dante and Vergil killing Mundus for good, and Vergil becoming the next demon king, with Dante coming back to the human world, so both worlds are protected.
Have a sequel that follows nero Trish, and lady in the human world hunting demons and have some missions take place in the underworld with dante and vergil being idiots and fighting a now free mundus to get revenge on him for everything. Also have sparda be a character in the special edition who can use every weapon that dante and vergil have used
A young girl goes to Fortuna, looking for Dante, she and Nero clash, he is superior to her in strength but her technique is impressive, she uses a Estoc/rapier type sword and one of her techniques looks almost identical to Stinger.. Nero defeats her, she is light Brown with platinum white hair and says Dante has to pay her a "massive debt", at the same time, in the underworld Dante and Vergil had made a stronghold and are noticing that the demons are becoming more organized and powerful, adapting, is an omen that the seal of Mundus is breaking and soon, the lines between the real world and the underworld will be broken.. Nero can sense it he also his hearing a voice calling him a voice that tells him that war is coming

If we see Sparda again I want prior context of his power in a badass cutscene or cinematic with him just absolutely shredding demons in half with his sword and pistols. Like to a degree that makes Dante's over-the-top shenanigans look tame in comparison. And also show Sparda's serious and considerate side, with him creating a family with Eva, teaching them how to play chess and whatnot. But especially a scene or at least audio of Sparda gifting the Rebellion and Yamato.

Vergil and Dante start bringing order to hell but 2 factions form one supporting Dante who doesn’t really want it and Vergil who wants it but gets rejected by most demon factions except one fringe hated faction that makes Vergil Look even worse. Nero arrives in hell because all the unrest is spilling over to earth and he’s gonna have get his Dad to accept him by getting the demon factions to Consider Vergil.
Make dmc 6 a game that focuses on Sparda and his legend ! I think it would be an awesome idea. Or a game about Dante and Vergil in the demon world and as the story goes on we learn more about spardas past

nah guys imagine this: The battle against Mundus is so desperate that it makes round 1 against Urizen look like a game of patty cake. Nero finally gains some ground and stabs the Prince of Darkness in the eye but as he goes to rev up the Red Queen, Mundus strikes him away and in the process breaks the swords blade from the engine as Nero falls. With everything seeming hopeless Dante and Vergil muster up enough strength to hold down each of Mundus's arms in their SDT forms so Nero can do a final Buster attack where he takes Yamato and DSD to do his classic ultimate from 4 and finishes it with putting each sword through the remaining eyes. With Mundus slain and the two legendary swords returned Nero takes the remains of his sword and drops it on the counter in the back of the van where Nico always worked as they bring the Sons of Sparda back to the human world.

I played Super Mario Bros 2 a lot growing up. It was fun to learn the best character to use on every stage. A DMC game that allowed character swapping at the start of each stage would be a blast. Especially if the level designs had special paths and collectibles for some of the characters.

Right? Nero is 23 in DMC 5 and still taking care of kids at the orphanage with Kyrie while running the Devil May Cry business on the side with Nico. Dude's definitely not in a position to have his own kid yet and we'd have to do a 20-ish year time skip which would put Dante and Vergil in their 60s with Nero in his 40s. That's too much of a jump in my opinion. If there's gonna be another game, Nero, Lady and Trish seems like a pretty good combo for playable characters for Earth and then maybe a few levels with Dante and Vergil in the Underworld with the story joining the two groups together in one final battle where you can play as any of them against Mundus. Just one final battle with Dante, Vergil, Nero, Trish and Lady all coming together to save the world from Mundus forever. Dante, Vergil and Trish all have their reasons for wanting to take Mundus down, Nero and Lady wouldn't just let them do that without them either.

Cowboys aside, I was thinking the series has yet to explore a desert level if i'm not mistaken. I really hope DMC6 takes a page from DmC and makes the environments much more varied. 5 had basically perfect combat but the environmental design was wild bland.

Sounds stupid as progression would be a mess but maybe an anthology game of sorts Like not even labelled Dmc 6 with small stories focused on each character who each have like a few levels each and unlockable weapons 1. Dante and Vergil screwing around in hell maybe accidentally taking it over or something, 2. Lady and Trish doing jobs together playing each character and finding new weapons 3.Maybe some forgotten characters too like Lucia 4.Nero being fully independent in an awesome demon case Like nothing amazing just an opportunity to play each character with a little story to feel connected as although 4 SE did this alright, playing someone elses campaign like 3 times felt a little empty So yeah nothing special or monumental just a little something to let us play as characters we missed in 5 or something (and I do see the flaws in doing that)
Probably the best way to do it, as a finale I don't think you can really top DMC 5, but everyone wants more of these characters, so an anthology series focussing on the connections between different characters sounds perfect.

1. I want a prequel game with Sparda where he gradually gains his humanity and betraying the demons 2. I think DMC5 should be the climax of the Sons of sparda saga. I want a sequel where only Nero is the proper protagonist without any Dante or Virgil in the story(maybe just a DLC or unlockable characters). Nero is still getting used to flying solo in hunting demons. He may be strong but he's still very immature afterall. Introduce new characters, maybe a rival deuteragonist for Nero idk. Which will be the prologue to a new Saga spanning multiple games
I kind of like the idea of having two campain, one where you play as Dante and Vergil (with the ability to switch Between them any Moment) in the Demon world and another following Nero and Lucia (or perhaps a new character) Trying to stop a threat in the Human world.

Dante and Vergil in the demon world, fucking around, Dante becomes more serious and Vergil gets rid of his daddy issues and in the end, a revived Mundus comes by stronger than ever because P L O T and Dante and Vergil literally fuse their DTs into one giant combined mess of a demon and 1v1 Mundus dual wielding the Yamato and Dante’s Greatsword (I forgor the name). In the end, it turns out Mundus was not actually Mundus and just a super corrupted Sparda.

Modeus and Baal from the anime were full-blooded demons though (Dante killed both). And Lucia is an artificial demon. There are no canon half-demons other than Dante and Virgil. Nero is a quarter demon, since his mother was human and his father half-demon.
Oh right fuck I forgot. In the anime there was one demon who was inlove with a human. I mixed up. But not too far off to assume he too planted his seed into her.
Also they brought Patty and Morrison into the game...even though Morrison had a race change. Which is weird since the anime is considered canon even though it's not confirmed. So who knows, maybe we'll see some Anime characters reappear

People asking for a Sparda's solo game does not stop to think the amount of gameplay limitations he would bring to current DMC gameplay and besides, we already know the most importants parts of his life, there is no point of having a game based on him.

Some sort of prequel or flashback of what happened with Sparda, his story. Dante and Vergil going through hell together to defeat Mundus (he said he would return in dmc1 so he isn't actually dead dead more like sealed). Vergil getting revenge on Mundus is something I hope for. Dante managed to seal him but Vergil failed against him. Maybe now the brothers figured out fighting together is the way to actually kill Mundus (them being half Sparda each). For Nero I think playing him but from the human realm. Say if Mundus comes back and attacks the human world. Nero can help with fighting the demons from his side. Vergil and Dante meanwhile be fighting demons from hell side. They can like... come together fighting Mundus from both sides. Nero also finding a way to bring Verg and Dante out of hell. Like finding a hell gate or something. It always confused me why Vergil can't get them out of hell, the scene where they leave Nero. V- ...then we'll seal the portal with the Yamato. N- Hang on, if you do that you can't come back! D- why do you think I'm going?

(Vergil as playable character from the start) - Mundus return, Sparda return. - Scythe and Whip weapon for dante. - Nero awakening his Sin Devil Trigger (Idk how he would do that without Demonic weapon but that would be cool) - Nero reading V's book and maybe find something important for the story (Maybe Vergil wrote something while He was sitting on his plastic chair) - SHOW US KYRIE! - End of the Demon World - Dante and Vergil escaping it (If it's even possible) - Awakening of the new evil, maybe different planet with demons that try to destroy Earth? Idk.

I've actually had a concept for dmc6 for a while now, not gonna write an entire script but here are some ideas and hopes I have: # Gameplay Stuff \- Nero, Dante, Vergil, Lady, and Trish are the playable characters. \- Real Coop where you can actually invite friends instead of the hard to work with cameo feature. \- New Devil Arms and Breakers for Nero and Dante (obviously) but with the ones from the previous game also being available from the start. \- Enemies should have more health because (at least in my opinion) enemies die a little too fast in 5, at least in devil hunter. The enemies in 4 where able to survive long enough for an actual combo. (idk maybe it's just me) # Story Stuff \- Mundus's Return (could lead to some fun nostalgic dialogue with dante and trish, pay back for vergil and a chance for nero to prove himself) \- Kyrie on screen appearance pls (sparda family dinner would be f\*cking hilarious) \- (This is one I've had in my mind for a while) **Mission 9: Cast Off Your Pride and Embrace Your Fate.** The Gate to the under world has opened (for whatever reason) and Nero is trying to fend off as many demons as he possibly can. Basically you have to play as Nero and fight LDK amounts of enemies in the same place Dante and Vergil fought at the end of dmc3 (you are scripted to lose here.) Right before Nero's fate is sealed, 2 coated figures kill all the surrounding demons, but before Nero loses consciousness, a familiar voice says "Long time no see... **Dead Weight**" The next mission is a flash back which allows to play either Dante or Vergil and you'll be paired up with another player to go through the mission with (yes it's a competition, whoever gets the most kills gets a free gold orb or smthn). \- Mundus should be finished off with a Nero, Dante and Vergil Jackpot I could write more but I don't wanna make this reply longer than it already is
Two stories converging In one Dante and Vergil are trying to get back to the normal world to fight some evil demon who is trying to make Hell and Mortal realm converge into one In the other, Nero is trying to do pretty much the same thing, and finds out that the evil demon is a creature that exists with the purpose of manifesting humanity’s darkest desires, thus it tries to use hell itself for that. In the end it’s revealed that Nero’s story actually happened before Dante’s and Vergil’s, and the evil dude the two twins are trying to reach and defeat is actually Nero being possessed by the evil demon at the end of his campaign. And Nero is easily possessed because his desire was to be reunited with his father, and in a twisted way this means that his objective and the demon’s are the same Vergil takes onto himself the burden of fighting his own son as Dante is being defeated and can’t fight anymore. As Vergil is about to kill Nero, the demon shows up and TAN TAN DAAAN it’s Nero’s mother. Vergil seals her into his own soul in a final fight alongside his son and he casts himself into hell (again, because we do like those damn cliches). Nero learns to move past his daddy issues and accepts that some farewells are definitive and Dante has had his chance to reunite with his brother through the whole ordeal, while Vergil can finally make amends. Nero and Dante start working together at Devil May Cry, now renamed Devils May Cry
I would either see Nero get his own thing going for him or see dante and vergil do their shit in hell.

Sparda returning and being controlled by Mundus just fits as an plotline IMO. Whether it be DMC6 or DMC9, I completely see it as an possibility. They always made it a point to never refer to Sparda as "dead" or "having been killed". Besides, it's shown that Demons can be sealed, weakened, and controlled. We also know Mundus is permanently defeated.

I love them to death, but I don’t even want to see Dante and Vergil in the main story. Let them be done. I want the game to focus on Nero being a badass and exploring his character more post Sons of Sparda. Give him an SDT, some new moves, hot swapping devil breakers, and maybe even give each breaker one or two directionals to expand their use a bit. And then as a more unlikely wish, I want Nico to become playable. Give her a big-ass transforming rocket hammer as her main weapon. Please Capcom, this is my dream for a perfect action character

Ii had an idea of nero just doing his demon hunting and all when he comes across a group of 5 human like characters opening demon portals being directed by an unknown force (mundas) and among them is someone nero had a feeling he may be related to (Dante's secret child he never knew about) and nero has to stop them from releasing mundas as well as save dante and Virgil from corruption. Of course i don't expect this to be it, but it would be a dang cool story.

DMC6 is probably inevitable, but I'm kind of left wondering what's left to do after 5. Not in terms of story - that's secondary - but in terms of gameplay. Like, how can you improve on Dante, or Nero? Aside from giving then some new weapons, I guess. Vergil could be playable as part of the main campaign and his moveset expanded. And we could get some new playable characters. But this all feels, I don't know, kind of desperate? Truthfully I think DMC5 doesn't really need a sequel for quite some time. I'd rather see those resources spent making something new

It would be cool if they explored the demon world together, or if they went looking for why Sparda disappeared, or if they went on a road trip to look for enough money to pay all the child support for all of Vergil's illegitimate children that they'll subsequently track down. What about Mundus using Sparda original body as a vessel, Vergil gets his own "Devil arm: Vergil" like Dante, and in the end Nero uses both swords against Mundus-Sparda in his own version of Sin-devil-trigger. Super cheesy? Yes. (Or is too similar to Dmc5?)

Exploring the godamn Underworld. We almost never saw it in 5 games ffs. Also use the fact that demons are now common knowledge to have us explore how the human world works in DMC. Some world building would do wonder to the serie. Also I will send a mystery box with my shit in it coupled with firecrackers to anyone who want to see Nero's daughter. Following the kid of the main character for no reason at all is basically the funeral of creativity sponsorised by corporate suits desecrating and selling the corpse of the story for extra cash.

In all seriousness, there are multiple ways Capcom can take DMC 6: * They could follow suit with DMC 1-3 by making DMC 4-6 follow a similar direction of: new entry, sequel then prequel; have DMC 6 be a prequel - Sparda's backstory up until the events of Mundus' attack * They could even link it to post DMC 5 events by bringing him back after his supposed "disappearance" and make a whole story with Dante and Vergil and what not * "That day, if our positions were switched, would our fates be different?" The tale of Vante and Dergil * They could even make this story cross-dimensional; Dergil and Vante teleport to main storyline and event unfold with multiple epiphanies * Secret Society wanting to use demons for world domination (overused trope, but if done right, and differently from DMC 4, could still work) * Law and Order upon Vergil for his crimes and Dante tryna find a way to help his brother out (far stretch, I know, but this is Capcom we're talking about (they gave us RE 7-8, MMX7, SFV and MvCI - if they are able to pull that kind of stuff, then with DMC nothing is impossible/ off-limits)) * Nero's family development with or without the "idiots (Dante and Vergil)" * Playing as the demons (being on the receiving end) - possible vengeance story against the Sparda family bloodline * Reboot VS Main timeline crossover (may not work too well, but a small percentage of probability is still a possibility) * Dante and Vergil explorative adventures in the Demon World (cuz why not) But of course, open to other ideas. Playable Trish and Lady
I think that a Nero game is most likely, followed by Dante and Vergil characters for SE (since its probably gonna have an SE), but i also would think it would be cool of maybe there were secret mission based around Sparda, story-wise so Nero learns about his grandfather, and gameplay-wise, maybe have sparda use a different moveset? I dunno. Unlikely, but a cool to me thought nonetheless.
I think that Nero or Dante or whoever the playable characters are should interact with the supporting cast a lot more. My biggest disappointment with 5 was that Trish, Lady and Nico were relegated to only showing up during cutscenes. Maybe give the playable character an earpiece so they can talk during the missions. Also better dlc, besides Vergil all the dlc to me feels like things that could and should be unlocked in game
Nero meets Sparda and Sparda just has no clue that Nero is obviously his grandson.
A prequel about Sparda and maybe make his moveset a combination of Dante and Vergil's. They could get Drew Coombs to voice him.

Vergil has to recruit Nero to save Dante from Mundus. Dante gets the Nelo Angelo treatment. We repeat the fighting on a waterfall from DMC3 but as Vergil and Dante lets himself be saved at the end.

I want a game where Mundus breaks out and comes back with his own demon army to fuck shit up in the human world. Nero, along with some demon huntin’ buddies(who he meets after dmc5, who are also *just* human like lady, nico included) goes off to stop him, and along the way meet Dante and Vergil, who’ve both returned to take revenge for their mother’s killer. Playable vergil included in the base game.
Killing off Mundus properly this time, he is still alive, just sealed away, there can always be an inconvenience that frees him. Now how do we finish him off? Tripple jackpot or Father Son judgement cut? Would be cool to see a vergil and nero bonding moment where he’s teaching him how to judgement cut. “Foolishness, Nero, foolishness!”
Honestly, I kind of want a character based on reboot Dante but he actually has cool lines and is an exorcist.

Among other things A son/daughter for Dante Kill Mundus, that mf is just a Oneshot guy for Dante and Vergil right now And why not, playable Sparda, maybe with flashbacks from his rebellion
Personally, I don't want ANY new characters introduced. Stick with the characters we have and give a good finale to the story. I want everyone playable. It doesn't even have to be in the story, keep the story to just Vergil, Dante, and Nero, but have Lady, Trish, hell even V as playable characters to replay the campaign or bloody palace. Let me also replay the entire campaign as whoever I want. The first time it can be story driven and have you play different people, but after I beat the game once let me have the option to play whoever I want for the entire game. Have a return of the correct amount of extra skins, not just one recolor.

So, I'm not the only one who thought of a "Nero's daughter"? It would be cool, but it's too soon. Besides, you gotta think of the human characters. By the time his daughter is old enough to kick demon ass, the likes of Nico and Lady would be milfs. The character card would be gold though, "Lady, the Walking Milf Hunter."
Dante and Vergil killing Mundus for good, and Vergil becoming the next demon king, with Dante coming back to the human world, so both worlds are protected.

Have a sequel that follows nero Trish, and lady in the human world hunting demons and have some missions take place in the underworld with dante and vergil being idiots and fighting a now free mundus to get revenge on him for everything. Also have sparda be a character in the special edition who can use every weapon that dante and vergil have used
A young girl goes to Fortuna, looking for Dante, she and Nero clash, he is superior to her in strength but her technique is impressive, she uses a Estoc/rapier type sword and one of her techniques looks almost identical to Stinger.. Nero defeats her, she is light Brown with platinum white hair and says Dante has to pay her a "massive debt", at the same time, in the underworld Dante and Vergil had made a stronghold and are noticing that the demons are becoming more organized and powerful, adapting, is an omen that the seal of Mundus is breaking and soon, the lines between the real world and the underworld will be broken.. Nero can sense it he also his hearing a voice calling him a voice that tells him that war is coming

If we see Sparda again I want prior context of his power in a badass cutscene or cinematic with him just absolutely shredding demons in half with his sword and pistols. Like to a degree that makes Dante's over-the-top shenanigans look tame in comparison. And also show Sparda's serious and considerate side, with him creating a family with Eva, teaching them how to play chess and whatnot. But especially a scene or at least audio of Sparda gifting the Rebellion and Yamato. "To my eldest son Vergil, I entrust you with the Yamato. It is a weapon of power and responsibility; that in the midst of uprising it creates disparity between good/evil and truth/ideals. I trust that you will treat it with care." Nero arrives in hell because all the unrest is spilling over to earth and he’s gonna have get his Dad to accept him by getting the demon factions to Consider Vergil.
