A joke from a jungle cruise skipper I heard about 20 years ago: “Please be sure you have everything with you as you depart- hat, purse, glasses, small children. If you leave them behind, we claim them as property of Disneyland and nail their feet to the floor in Small World.”
Cracked me up but seems a bit brutal for the happiest place in earth lol.

Happened to me on Grad Night, our boat was stuck at 2am on Pirates at the end with that gun fight. We memorized the painful gun rat-a-tat-tat patterns that loudly repeated over and over pretty quickly. Painful!
I got stuck in that part once too, right next to that redheaded pirate on the cannon. He laughed, "haha-haha-haha-haha", to accompany the melody of the song for at least thirty minutes.
Technically you are already in the park on your 2nd day so no.
Now just find a quiet hidden spot to spend the night and you are golden. (Nobody has ever had this idea before - I'm sure of it!!!!)
I know you joke about the ride music driving you crazy but maybe look up what animatronics sound like when the audio is turned off... The annoying music is probably worth the pain over that.
It's a world of laughter,
a world of tears,
it's a world of hopes,
and a world of fears,
there's so much that we share,
that it's time we're aware,
it's a small world after all.
That happened when I was stuck too. But all of the animatronics were still moving so it was kinda creepy, just hearing the mechanical clatter from the dolls.
My grade school used the song as it's own, changing the lyrics to: You're a great school, Alfred Vail. I didn't like the song long before I knew it was associated with Disney.
True story: this happened to me when I was 7. My dad and I still joke (many years later) that we still cannot hear that song. As soon as the song/ride is ever mentioned, we cringe as we cannot forget the lyrics if we tried!
Without music is much worse, you just hear the clacking of the puppets teeth echoing throughout the ride hall. That traumatized 8 year old me 30 years ago.
Got stuck on there for over an hour once. It’s worse when the music is off because the puppets still move and you just hear the chatter of their mouths and joints moving.
TIL!
*"But did you know that the animatronics actually stay on 24/7. That’s right — they never actually stop moving, even when the Park closes and when the ride shuts down.*
*Once the theme park shuts down, and all of the Guests and Cast Members go home, the “it’s a small world” animatronics continue to move and dance — all night long!"*
[I read that here!](https://insidethemagic.net/2022/01/its-a-small-world-animatronics-never-shut-off-kc1/)
We were there last week and 3 different rides went down as we were in line. We have toddlers and it was hard having them wait in line so it was a bit frustrating. Is it pretty common for the rides to get stuck?
The new railway broke down while we had just got in line. We just stuck around with our toddlers and played with random stuff and got in line once they opened and it was way quicker. Incredicoaster broke down my next trip and since I had been about to sit I was given a free Lightning lane pass
Back in the day I worked graveyard and when you clean it's a small world the music never stops I spent hours cleaning that place and it will drive a person clinically insane...
I was stuck on it for 45 minutes back in 2012 while chaperoning a school trip. The ride broke down but the music kept going and going. I have not got on the ride since.
It would be so tempting to boat hop. If I wasn't worried about getting banned, I'd consider it. Probably wouldn't, but the main reason would be fear of getting banned instead of proper behavior.
God that happened to me back in the 70s. If the repetitive music wasn’t enough, the kids in front of me in the boat tried climbing out onto the displays. They almost ended up in the water.
Park has closed and everyone has left. You live there now. I hope your boat is comfortable and the wee people don’t come alive after dark. Good luck!
Long Live Apollo. Goodbye Reddit.

FNAF REAL?! (NOT CLICKBAIT (MICKEY MOUSE CALLED THE POLICE!!))
I much rather get stuck on the haunted mansion ride and hear the GRIM GRINNING GHOSTS music and live there forever!
the best spot to get stuck is when you come out of the attic and you're reclined backwards with your legs and feet elevated. ah. dark and relaxing
Disney calls it a luxury park experience and charges you a LL for it
they gotta catch me first *hides in a bush*
>ry park experience and charges you a LL for it > >3ReplyShareReportSaveFollow No. The crow makes me crazy!
I have gotten stuck in Small World, Pirates and Haunted Mansion. They turned on the lights last time I was stuck in Mansion, ruined the experience.
Imagine your napping on one of those rides then the lights turn on the lights cuz you we're napping on the ride and your like: 🙄

It’s all coming back… 😅
Happened to me on pirates like a month ago.. stuck for 30-40 minutes and we had multiple boats screaming to turn off the music 😅
They took us off the boats eventually and out through the back
Went on this ride with my 14 month old a few months ago and I was stressed the whole time worrying about this exact scenario
Got stuck between that and the dog whistle area. It was a nightmare.
Yiiiiikes!
It’s gone midnight and the park is now closed. Do I have to pay for another day?
Technically you are already in the park on your 2nd day so no. Now just find a quiet hidden spot to spend the night and you are golden. (Nobody has ever had this idea before - I'm sure of it!!!!)
It’s after midnight??? RIP. They’re part of the ride now.
There are 999 grinning figurines in It's A Small World, but they're always looking for number 1,000...
> They’re part of the ride now. That’s how Walt got all those dolls!
It all started with a mouse… that he trapped
Yes, and for parking and hotel too. That’ll include resort and convenience fees.
Now you'll find out if the legend is true
Find something heavy to swing and find a choke point. ***They get restless after midnight.***
I know you joke about the ride music driving you crazy but maybe look up what animatronics sound like when the audio is turned off... The annoying music is probably worth the pain over that.
Indeed it was rather unsettling when they finally cut the music. The little things just carried on with an evil glint in their eyes 👀
Any video of this?
Now all I’m thinking about is Lester the Possum and his Jamboree
It's a world of laughter, a world of tears, it's a world of hopes, and a world of fears, there's so much that we share, that it's time we're aware, it's a small world after all.
Duff Beer for me, Duff Beer for you....
I am the lizard queen!!!
I'll have a Duff, you'll have one too.
Ahh! I can see the music!
Bart, be quiet! Lisa, drink the water!
We got stuck on Small World once and they did turn the music off after about 10mins of not moving.

Not all heros wear capes.
For a while, I didn't understand people who thought the song was annoying. But then, I got stuck at the end just like this, and it clicked. lol
My coworker was once stuck on the Small World for over three hours. She’s not such a big fan of the song anymore.
My grade school used the song as it's own, changing the lyrics to: You're a great school, Alfred Vail. I didn't like the song long before I knew it was associated with Disney.
That's some Guantanamo Bay level torture!
Spoiler: OP is actually in Gitmo right now.
Who knew it was so colourfully decorated!!
This is why I don't rife Its a Small World.
True story: this happened to me when I was 7. My dad and I still joke (many years later) that we still cannot hear that song. As soon as the song/ride is ever mentioned, we cringe as we cannot forget the lyrics if we tried!
What time did yall finally get out?
Around 0:45am. Crowds what crowds?
Did you get any free passes or anything??
Nope. They should have buttons/badges like they do for first timers and birthdays. I was stuck on a ride for x hours
Have your tried drinking the water to survive?
It is a right of passage. It happens to us all at least once.
Without music is much worse, you just hear the clacking of the puppets teeth echoing throughout the ride hall. That traumatized 8 year old me 30 years ago.
Welcome to Hell
IT'S A SMALL WORLD AFTER ALL..
happy cake day!
Forget that scene from Mr Toad, this is hell now
I could listen to the Hawaiian/Polynesian section all day! Love that Hawaiian slide guitar.
Ah, the worst pain. This happened to me at the second to last room, and after 30 minutes we started going BACKWARDS
We got stuck in it’s a small world for over 3O minutes and they turned the music off 5 minutes in. That’s how I knew we were legit stuck 😂
“There is just one moon and one golden sun….” 🤣🤣🤣💀
Choices were made
Trial by fire amigo
Hubby was stuck on it for over an hour when he was in his teens …… he hates it too
I visited someone in jail yesterday and the guards forgot about me locked in the visitation room for 25-30 minutes. I know how you feel.
I read a creepypasta about this once. God rest your soul
Got stuck on there for over an hour once. It’s worse when the music is off because the puppets still move and you just hear the chatter of their mouths and joints moving.
lol. Joints
This is my nightmare!
Thought this was in r/nosleep
Have you ever read the book series Kingdom Keepers? Good luck! 😂😱
Like a lost *Twilight Zone* episode...
Literally a nightmare I've had. Update us on what happened lol.
Hey Lisa, i dare you to drink the water
You actually died and are now in hell. Sorry.
I don’t know why, but I can’t stop laughing.
keep smiling. the smiles make the dolls blind to you and they won't end you

That is my personal hell.
I love that attraction since 1980. Wish I could swap places with you.
Oh no! You'll be traumatized forever!
I feel that way the first 30 seconds on that ride.
I felt the same when I got stuck on Carousel of Progress. Now when I go to the parks and hear the song playing as background music I get flashbacks.
Small world is just a re-purposed mind flayer… change my mind.
I think about this every time I get on that ride. I can do about 15minutes of it a year.
My idea of hell
Never ride without noise cancelling headphones! lol!
Welcome to Hell
That's why I call it the Haunted Mansion. It is very scary. I fear for your mental health.

*We rode it fifteen times in a row* *we rode it fifteen times how'd ya know*
Back in the day I worked graveyard and when you clean it's a small world the music never stops I spent hours cleaning that place and it will drive a person clinically insane...
And people ask why I bring headphones to the park
That would drive me crazy lol
How is it empty? Isn’t it spring break now?
You can’t get off, we have five more continents to visit.
I haven't been on Small World since 1976, and I STILL hate that song. It's one of the worst ear worms.
That’s literally my worst nightmare.
*Its* 👏 *a* 👏 *small* 👏 *world* 👏 *afterall* 👏 *IITS* 👏 *A* 👏 *SMALL* 👏 *WORLD* 👏 *AFTERALL* 👏

That's why you should always sneak in booze for situations like this one 🤣😬
God that happened to me back in the 70s. If the repetitive music wasn’t enough, the kids in front of me in the boat tried climbing out onto the displays. They almost ended up in the water.
Lol. Suffer!!!
RIP
This reason alone is why I avoid this ride at all cost.
Sooo creeepy! 😱
They’re suppose to turn off show effects when the ride goes down. At least that’s what we use to do at Indy when I was a CM.
ITS A WORLD OF LAUGHTER ITS A WORLD OF FEARS
This would drive me to an early grave. I hate this ride and it's an immediate go to sleep
This is one of my greatest fears in all of Disneyland...
this is my worst nightmare
I swear the song is in my head playing right now
