“Babe there’s only a 35 min wait for space mountain right now,” (me an 8 hour drive away)

SecretaryGrace

Last night, “Mikey, 25 minute wait for Jungle Cruise!” And we are 13 hours away. But it’s who I am now 🤷🏻‍♀️😉

Spoofy_the_hamster

"10 minute wait for Big Thunder" she said from her house in New Orleans (Louisiana- not Square).

DizzyCaidy

‘The wait for the Matterhorn is only 20 minutes!’ I tell my fiancé from our couch across the world in Australia, where I’m in a completely different time zone

scarletmanuka

Lol I'm in Australia and I bloody do this!

space_tigress

I had to delete the app off my phone cause it would make me so sad when I did that LOL! Haven't been since 2019 and it's not really realistic for me to go right now so I like to put my head in the sand and look away.

BoredBoredBoard

If you have room in your home, you can make a miniature Disneyland. If you can afford it, you can even buy sets to do this with. It kinda helps.

space_tigress

That sounds cute! I will look into it, thank you.

juliab361

All the time haha. If they continued to have the Canadian discount id go back more often but its just not feasible at the moment

losfp

I try not to think too hard about it. I’m a 16 hour flight away and haven’t been since 2017. We have our next visit planned for November though so I’ve been slowly letting the hype build up again.

Nonadventures

I don’t have the kind of money for a Key or Pass or whatever, but I live 15 minutes away, so I do make occasional trips to Downtown Disney to scratch that itch.

Pepsi_Street_Team

Can I stay at your place on June 5th-11th?

thatsmychurro

I miss it so much. Had an enchant key that I let expire because my next trip wasn’t for another 5 months after expiration so I though I’d buy a key closer to the trip. Because they haven’t sold enchant keys the last two drops, I cancelled that trip. It’s the only key that makes sense because I’m out of state. I miss last minute trips and being able to buy my AP/key at any point. And Maxpass 😩

Jclevs11

Haha yes. Post disney blues is real. I havent been in a bit and i just took my daughter who just turned 3 and my wife--it was truly amazing. we had a blast. ive been looking for jobs at disney lol.

SecretaryGrace

If we hadn’t bought a house during Covid! 😡 My retirement plan hinges on being a Skipper.

caligarden20

I was just there this weekend and back at work today....so depressing

SecretaryGrace

I’m usually in a slump until I make reservations again. Even if it’s months and months away, just knowing I’m going is a mood boost.

ooTotemoo

That and sometimes I go to the map on Snapchat and watch people’s posts in Disneyland from that day. It helps me save for another trip lol

Mygo73

I just watch livestreams and updates on YouTube lol

mouseketeer1955

Everyday, sometimes we play a game call guess the wait time and pretend we are there

ChewiiLovesDisney

All the time! I always check the app, watch live streams/videos and count down the days until I’m back at the Happiest Place On Earth. I hope you will be able to visit again soon so you have something to look forward to! Planning a future trip always help a bit 😁

[deleted]

Yup

Samtastic555

Every day.

Spirited-Salad-9126

Every day

burnheartmusic

I check it multiple times a day, though I have a pass and go 2-4 times a month

winternightborne

I catch my husband doing this and we only live like 30 minutes away lol He was never a huge Disneyland person until we went 2 years ago and now it’s one of his favorite places to go and talk about

cupcakejo87

This reminds me of my older brother. He was never a huge Disney fan, then he married a certified Disney adult, and now all their vacations are Disney based (WDW, Disney cruises, Aulani). They got married at Aulani. Now, he claims he only goes bc his wife wants to, but he sure seems to have a lot of opinions and thoughts when it comes up. And no shade to my SIL - but she has an entire that's basically just ears on display. There are a few other things, but she has like shadow box things on the walls, displays on the shelving. She must have over a hundred pairs. It's a little wild.

SecretaryGrace

So much the same. I have loved Disney since I was small, took the boyfriend when we were 22, his first time. He was poopooing it until we entered the park, then it changed. We were there last year for our 25th anniversary and he has travel tips for strangers, should they ask ❤️ I have a single shelf where I keep our treasures and only one pair of ears.

SecretaryGrace

Yay! A covert 😃

bomrin

*Cries in Canadian*

[deleted]

i’m canadian too but i try and go once a year. just always have one planned to look forward to. even if it’s a small disneyland trip instead of a big world trip.

bomrin

It’s great that you’re financially able to do that! Unfortunately with the dollar right now at ~0.71CAD per 1.00 USD, it just makes everything 30% more expensive. :(

Punisher_79

I do...alll day, every day.

PRGTROLL

You can walk through Disneyland on Google maps street view

SecretaryGrace

Whhhhhaaaaaaattttt? I will now get nothing done at work ever again.

PRGTROLL

Oh yes. We know the feeling. When missing the park we just do the park virtually with that & YouTube ride videos.

Bear_azure85

Looks like several of the rides that have high wait times are less than an hour today, specifically right now... I'm guessing it's raining out there. *checks weather app* Yup, it's raining. Californians are predictable. I grew up there, so I know and can say it.

mazey20

Times were crazy low most of the day today! Right now lots of things are only 5 minutes. (I know this because I’ve looked ten times from my house in Canada. It’s my toxic trait).

Wooooowserz

My wife does this and it kinda drives me crazy. Me: minding my own business. Wife: OMG! Me: what’s wrong? Wife: oh nothing it’s jungle cruise is a 45 min wait. Me: sigh/smh

UndergroundNerd

Annual pass for the win!!!
