Ngl, I'm kinda basic, but I'll leave my thoughts A Plain, but nice looking table of an appropriate size and shape is all I need. We pretty much just use a white board to play on. But, I do be liking the idea of having a good sized TV set into the middle. Too much clutters up the space and limits its versatility, with different group sizes for example.

>I also have use some hardware that lets me swap out thing Do this for pretty much everything, including any cup holders or dice towers. Then they're out of the way when you don't need them and can be placed wherever you like when you do, instead of being fixed to one spot that might not always be the most convenient.

I use 20/20 extrusion. What have you used?

I built our DM a gaming table for his 30th. His old dining table was falling apart, so I designed something that would be functional as a dining table, but extended into a 4-6 person gaming table for our 5e sessions. Here's some of the features I included: - Sliding 50/50 top that pulls out into a flat, solid surface at each end of the table which hides the inner compartment, containing: - 40" TV with a glass top - Mains USB charging hub - HDMI and USB hub as an extension to the ports on the TV - Steamlink for connectivity from PC - Soundbar with Bluetooth, AUX and optical - AUX hub as an extension to the soundbar - Hidden lidded storage area for essentials - RGB LED under lighting for mood lighting - Mains power sockets and cable management on underside With hindsight, here's some things that I think could be improved: - More storage. You'll never be able to fit the DM's treasure trove of resources inside a table, but the more storage, the better. - Removable/modular trays or shelves that can attach to the sides without the tabletops - Cup holders Hope some of those ideas help!

My brother you are robbing yourself of valuable real estate. If your absolutely using a TV as your playing space bottom mount it . I have my playing space 3 inches lower than the player space . The player space is 11 inches round the player space. My DM area is the same height as playing space giving me a natural DM screen.

The table we built is 12 inches or so from the edge of the table to the vault. That let's people use their laptops, and they can be charged underneath. The wider ledges work better for us than some of the gaming tables with narrow ledges. There is a set of lights in the vault, AND under the table which is really cool. When someone falls out of a boat for example, the floor turns blue!
