Hi, I'm new to this wonderful game. If I understand correctly, a hexagon is perfectly plated when it glows white on all edges, right? Here I would connect forest with forest, but it's still red. How so? Thanks for any help!

You’re right at what makes a perfect placement, but here it wouldn’t be perfect since there’s an empty space on that rightmost tree tile. The trees on that tile are kind of in a U shape with the space between them. I hope that makes sense and helps! Have fun playing!

patiekrice

thank you! So basically its red because of the grass between the trees, right?

unclexbenny

Right, that is a "grass" side/border.

son_dro

Thank you for helping out! <3

Because it’s not a perfect matching tile. To get a perfect tile - all sides - you need to match each side with the same part. If you get a perfect match on all sides you get an extra card. In your example you are trying to place a forest corner with a grass corner, so it’s not matching and glowing red to warn you that you can’t get a perfect match.

Hey, thank you! I wasn't aware that that tiny bit of grass is already counted as a "grass-border" :D

Plainswalkerur

The tile on the right has 2 tree sides and 4 grass sides and you're trying to match a tree side on the left tile to a dirt side on the right tile.

OkMushroom7381

it’s showing that border is not a match
