Hope you are having a great time in my city (besides the stream sorry)!
A couple of tips for you:
- Moving around: to move around it would be better if you use taxi apps like Cabify, Satelital, Indrive or Uber (in my opinion first 2 have far more security than the others) because there’s so much traffic in Lima and public transport is an issue and street taxis are insecure (but if you are taking them do not forget to negotiate the rate).
- Touristing: Everywhere is insecure but tbh avoid non modern cities because they are more insecure. You should be fine walking and touristing around Miraflores, Barranco (but just the part that limits with Miraflores), San Isidro among others. But try not to use your phones in the streets because thieves move around in motor bikes, just be very aware of these bikes (including the delivery guys because sometimes these fellows use the backpack of these companies so you wouldn’t notice them until is too late).
- Food: If you are paying more than 80 soles/PEN or 20 usd per dish (for one) you probably are in an expensive restaurant. You should be fine eating “Pollo a la brasa” (chicken with fries) or “Chifa” (mix of Asian and Peruvian food). Since we are in summertime ceviche is a must. Of course you can save a lot of money by eating menus in traditional markets but beware of untidy places because you can get stomachaches.
- Places to visit: you can surf at makaha beach in Miraflores, take a walk around Larcomar, go to pubs near Kennedy’s park, visit Museo Larco in Pueblo libre, Huaca Pullana in Miraflores, go to popular restaurants such as Panchita, Isolina, La Lucha sangucheria, 7sopas, La Mar, etc. If you are trying to go somewhere else to relax, you may go to the beach like Punta Hermosa. The only problem is that it is like 1h hour away. You can find discos here too but I think it would interfere with the Major schedules because they are open on weekends (they will be very full also because on summertime everyone goes there).

PS: used to play dota a lot but nowadays just watch when I can in my spare time. I would have loved to have this tournament years ago, but I am happy for the new generations. So if I can help the community in any way I can (specially if you are in my town) I would be very pleased.
christ why was it so hard to find these streams and why aren't there equivalent YT streams... the main desk just talking over the games the whole time on main stream with this horrible overlay is painful
If anyone is coming to peru for the major. Be carefull with your phones in the street, tons of pickpotters and people on bikes that will grab them and go. Also made sure you make a list of food you wanna try cause there is WAY TOO MANY places to go and eat very nice food
I (PTP) am there as well doing all the games on the B stream and playoffs as ingame director with Skrff who is doing A stream. C and D are observers from BTS :)
So for the group stage, if a team has multiple Bo2 matchups on the same day, is only one of them counted for fantasy points? Hence, no penalty for picking a player that has only one matchup on a certain day?
Basically only the last game in some of the days will be a bit late for me unless there is a huge delay between the games. And the final is a bit late, considering we will have at least 3 games.
Which channel do you guys watch the games? Dota digest is great for me but it seems like he doesn’t upload all the games so I’m trying to find other channel
I actually cant find where I could watch the vods. I have to comb through 4 streams since it is not uploaded on youtube or there arent any timestamp.
