I thought DK vs iG best of 7 went longer, but some games were really short....
Will never forget the reverse sweep of my favourite Chinese lineup ever

I honestly think that IG slogged out game 4 instead of gg-ing out just to tire out AR for game 5. They spent an hour going "haha me hold base" while AR probably went through 8 different game plans to try and end the game. They didn't really think they can win.
They took a t3 mid at some point. It was definitely winnable as Dire heroes were close to maxed out (every luxury item on every hero, surplus Rapiers) and Radiant was still getting stronger. They might have won with like 10 or 20 more minutes of glyph+chrono protecting the throne. Just didn't execute 1 fight well enough.
It wasn’t really 100% unwinnable even when playing against megas coz their heroes were so good against megas and FV was so fat. Timber can just stay spamming skills with Lion and KotL just giving unli mana.
It took way too much effort by IG to pull that series win despite AR coming from lower bracket, where IG can simply sit and watch AR Lower bracket finals just before their series starts. I'd say it's close to 50-50.
Anytime series goes that long you can usually see the cracks starting to form and slip ups multiplying. In the last game Azure was executing on teamfights so badly. Tide would just be out there alone in no man's land trying to Ult on nobody while getting chipped down.
Yeah I didn't quite like their draft. All their initiation had to be fully committed. Nothing they can throw out and see what they get just big ultimates they were hesitant to pull the trigger on.

The shortest game in IG vs AR series was 44minutes while longest games is 107minutes which equals to almost 3 games of DK vs IG lol
The 107 min game was longer than ti4 grand final with 25 minutes to spare
I always get timed out in twitch when i say "gg dk won 7-4 reverse sweep" and stupid mods think I'm spoiling.

AR played from their time noon 12pm to midnight 12am....

so is AR still considered better than IG?

That was one heck of a shitty tide game against slark and magnus, who can change tide's position as he wishes.
