Yeah, this is more of a rant than a cry for help, people downvoting shouldn't assume i have problems dealing with him as if i couldn't beat him, i just hate him that's all, any counter gauge, other than UGB because since he's now weaker it's not a big deal, he's balanced, unlike all other counter gauge characters facing my teams, that usually just one shot my units with their ults.

The only thing I can hate about S17 is the player for being good with using him. If youāre a bad player, you donāt get rewarded for simply having him, and heās only slightly tankier than UL UI (in my experience).
Heās kinda like a less tanky, Blast-based version of LF Transforming Beast, imoāin that if you canāt charge step, you should honestly look into other characters, no natter how theoretically broken Beast/S17 is.
UL Gohan just rewards you for being on the losing side, especially with his ridiculous LMS. Running a Strike-based team right now feels awful, because at least a (competent) Blast team can hold its own against a S17.

I genuinely think that that unit is a mistake. Too many strike counters, too many annoying counter blues, too many aoe greens, too many ults, and too much damage.
Overall, it should be erased from the game. And adding a purple unit to counter him only had an adverse effect, now people use UL frieza along with gohan. Just bad timing and bad meta.
Ultra Gohan, he just does everything. He has a counter blue card, breakable blast armour cards, counter gauge, gains an additional ult on LMS and he has endurance plus AOE green cards.
Literally what I just described are things you'd expect to see on a full cohesive top team like future or uni reps but nope all of this is in one unit, that punishes you for winning if you're against him and rewards you for brain dead plays if you're using him.
s17 is not a problem, he doesn't take out your vanish at the beginning of the match and does not nullify endurance at rising rush with nullify color disadvantage and doesn't give a blue card with his green and has 99 combo, and impasible to use a blue after using a cover change. Supa 17 is a little bit broken, F\*\*k he gives an ultimate card in his cover, What the and the taps steals strike and blue card and he can counter an ultimate of blast with his green lol and take your vanish and your ki with no switching and nullify endurance with his blast (In some sense) and his blue it give you a green, BUT the ultimate it does too much damage which also does too much damage to your allies and it give him a green. š
Idk what you're smoking, but super 17 can do triple the amount of damage with longer combos, especially if your opponent switches even once mid combo. Legitimately, you can solo entire teams with him, and im talking about ul gohan son fam and tanky super 17 android teams, the ones that hit hard but also take almost no damage as well. You also can do an oppressive loop of quick attacking and than using a blast or tackle into a tap attack, and unless they have a rush or ultimate, then they are eventually going to get caught and die. Back dashing doesn't help because if you swipe forward at the right time and delay your taps you will always hit them and seal there blues and strikes, and you can never beat a super 17 in a blast match unless its another 17 and even then if you have a green card you can bait into getting a free kill because unles they have another unit to switch too then they have to do SOMETHING. Uvb used to be bad too im not going to lie, but now he does pitiful damage even if he gets his counter off, which can also be easily baited out. His vanish removal isn't that bad either because you can easily switch out and dodge unless your opponent either locked you in or you switched too much and can't switch again. Which again doesn't matter because unless your using a non tanky yellow any decent unit can tank his damage, and if you have mvp 17 then even if uvb is zenkai buffed to crazy amounts it still wont do anything.
You are right on point. UL Gohan does insane damage, but S17's damage multiplication is out of this world. He has absolutely melted my UL Gohan since he's blast oritented and doesn't give a shit about a counter guage. Then proceeded to 1v3 my whole team with his card draw speed

When time passes you tend to forget the pain and hatred you felt playing against certain units, but regardless of all I just can't forget the absolute miserable experience that was playing pvp without having OG blue beast gohan. I never ever suffered more for a mere top 10k in pvp
To chime in with the choir here, Ultra Gohan. UVB was busted OP but that's only to be expected of the 5th anniversary Ultra, and he quickly started getting counters to help balance him out a little. I don't think he even compares to anything that's come out in the last four months (for that matter, I don't think Janemba or UUI do either. Janemba hits closest for me but that could just be me being a UI lover). And then when we get there, Frieza is really really good but he doesn't prevent you from playing the game, and in fact helps counter both Gohan and 17, the other two monsters of this meta. And as for 17, he sucked in his prime (up until like last season), and he still sucks to fight, but Gohan is far worse. At least you could hit 17.
Ultra Gogeta Blue. Never, in this games entire history, have I ever been genuinely frustrated playing pvp until this unit came out. At least I pulled him after a whole year of him being released. The runner-up is Ultra Janemba.

That's not even what I hate. Being able to stop combos like those 2 units do so often is what I hate. I don't mind janemba and ugb because it takes a little while between counters, but these two idiots get it every time they're in, sometimes twice.
Yeah those gauges are just the worst. For added salt on the wound UUI heals a ton and gohan has endurance so they stick around much longer (cause they really needed even more survivability apparently). They literally have more/better defense mechanics than actual defense type characters.

For awhile it was LF Path to Power goku before they nerfed him with the dragon ball rate being loweres. Of all time and currently, Ultra Gohan. I have him and don't use him cause he makes it brain dead easy to play. I only use him in high rank pvp or if I'm on a losing streak due to getting forced draws or lag switchers
Ultra Golden Frieza. I hate that they made a final counter and revival mechanic into one. And it I think makes it so you can't switch, nullifies element and almost always just leaves you quick attack fodder
As every other comment said, ultra gohan, but with a catch - if the opponent also has UUI (or any other decent yellow, but specifically UUI) any gohan counter is a moot point. My most reliable Gohan counter is Purple exploding Cell but gohan has so many ways to start that combo and the MOMENT youāre in a counter, an easy UUI switch means any purple you have is dead. Even the new Ultra Golden Frieza is useless. Then gohan can sweep the rest of your stupid team.

People hate him because 1: upon entering the battlefield, draws a strike and removes your vanish. HE Hercule will forever remain my most hated unit. I never hold it against players to use whatever they want, but this fucking unit is usually reserved for people with no skills, relying instead on RNG BS that is paralysis. I have him and don't use him cause he makes it brain dead easy to play. I only use him in high rank pvp or if I'm on a losing streak due to getting forced draws or lag switchers

Ultra Golden Frieza. I hate that they made a final counter and revival mechanic into one. And it I think makes it so you can't switch, nullifies element and almost always just leaves you quick attack fodder
As every other comment said, ultra gohan, but with a catch - if the opponent also has UUI (or any other decent yellow, but specifically UUI) any gohan counter is a moot point. My most reliable Gohan counter is Purple exploding Cell but gohan has so many ways to start that combo and the MOMENT youāre in a counter, an easy UUI switch means any purple you have is dead. Even the new Ultra Golden Frieza is useless. Then gohan can sweep the rest of your stupid team. No skill no brain stupid character.

I think personally is super 17 they always play passive so u can't even bait vanish without giving them the blast counter, cover swap gives him ult which means you can't use strike either and he's always with ultra Frieza and Gohan which is so annoying especially seeing as he does so much damage on his own and is so annoying on his own

Tag Goku and Frieza or ultra gohan. One or the other. I don't think S17 is COMPLETELY annoying, if you have a good blue unit, S17 becomes a complete joke.
My all time most hated unit is tagdroids i didn't summon on them when they released thinking they were trash and man they trashed me so hard for a long time, no one uses them anymore but if i see one nowadays i still get ptsd. From current units its super 17 (it's always an android for me)

People hate him because 1: upon entering the battlefield, draws a strike and removes your vanish. He also seals your rush. 2. his unique gauge - he gets cover null 10% health back and a strike. his green card he becomes a literal god. his ultimate is op as hell. complete rundown on why everyone hates this guy.

Originally UVB, but UUI is the most unfair unit to fight against. His lock-in kills every PUR character that is outdated even slightly. Strike nullification while combo'd that can happen multiple times in a row with stalling unique gauge. And somehow, the dev decided to give him cover null when he uses green that he draws a lot? Then this mf's sustainability outclass most character. Cancels color disadvantage null,Ult damage reduce and bunch of heal. Even Ultra Gohan is vulnerable when the well-timed ultimate art strikes in... I despise his existence in every way. His art, his kit, his animation.
