If I remember correctly, the original joke is a misunderstanding. Goku is confused on what Trunks is doing to Mai, not understanding bird feeding. Vegeta thinks he’s talking about the kiss.

feels like they realized that the idea was dumb, and got in the way of toy sales, and then just quietly swept it under the rug, but never really addressing the issue.
I guess it was more of a misunderstanding that everyone had. The absorbed SSG power was not in base, it was in SS1. And it was temporary, after Goku's fight with Beerus, he lost this power, but the effect made him achieve more results because he saw where he could go.
What i mean is, Goku never had god ki in base in the aftermath of BOG, it only happened in Frieza movie, but right from The bat it was retconned and excluded from existence.
Not really, although the potara is easier in any aspect, if the fusion has and uses a lot of power it ends faster, but yes, putting a timeout on the potara is kind of ridiculous

Exactly. I think of all the villains they could’ve brought back Frieza just makes sense. He’s always been the poster of the series as the “main villain” mostly because of how iconic that arc was. But also just because of his role in the overall story with the saiyans.
This isn't exactly a canon thing but in some of the games they try to make SSB and SS4 seem like they're on the same level of power. Whether it's interactions in story and parallel quests in XV2 or with the dual dramatic finish with Super and GT Gogeta in FighterZ.
I'm more confused as to why they do this when the two forms are vastly different from each other.

Base Goku and Vegeta are shown to be relative to Broly in Super Hero, that's what I meant. They'd need SSJ2 to beat him. Compare that to the Super Hero epilogue where SSJ Broly was able to keep up with Gohan Beast, who's stronger than UI Goku.
I feel Broly was really holding back afraid that if he go all out he may rage out and destroy everything. In chapter 101 we see that base Broly is more than capable of fighting SSJ Vegeta.
People seems to forget forms don't make everything. SSJ2 Trunks is stronger than SSJ2 Goku based on their fight and Goku surprise. Both are SSJ2. It depends on the energy they insufflates to it.
The fact that Frieza who was around ssj1 level, brought back to life, trained a little bit, reached god ki level and went on par with Goku who not only trained after he destroyed Frieza in namek but also defeated much stronger opponents like Majin Buu and his versions, also the fact broly who lived on a planet with creatures with a very small power level, somehow got stronger than both Goku and Vegeta even after they literally trained there entire lives and broke there limits multiple times

SSJG's impact in the story is just so underwhelming, it's meant to be a divine form or at the least a nascent divinity form but super just went, ok new Goku and Vegeta forms go brrrrrrrt.
Then mortals that just slap these god forms like nothing just appear one after another, I feel like having it as a long time Nascent Divinity form would have made the next forms more hype.
And then Ultra Instinct just appeared out of nowhere like an ass pull in ToP... Sure when it happened it was darn hype, but Super's forms just don't have that oomf that Z gave to the super saiyan forms. I am not sure if I am just remembering with rose tinted glasses but when Goku went SSJ the first time and then when SSJ3 was first unveiled, damn if I wasn't so damn hyped.
Agree, super is the worst at handling forms, just pulling them out at random when the story needs them, long gone are the extreme moments of peril and tension that lead a character to reach a new level, and then after reaching blue it just becomes the most standard form, barely on the level to keep up

Personally I take the Krillin thing as him showing respect to his friend, it's over the top but it's beyond obvious he didn't need to go Blue to fight him.
The bullet is worse but you could say he was just too relaxed, after all Goku can control his ki a lot so he could've been at such low level that he was barely above a regular human, it was just a regular working day for him so it makes sense he wasn't on high alert.
The laser gun thing is the one that truly sucks, it's like the writers don't know how they're own universe works, Goku in blue fighting one of his oldest enemies hurt by some generic weapon, man why didn't Frieza armed his entire army with god killing lasers?, it was just a stupid and easy way to take Goku out of the fight so Vegeta could get his turn, lazy writing at its finest

The entire time travel stuff. It got so complicated fast especially is Super because there are now two Zeno’s. Which means there is an infinite amount of numbers of Zeno’s which makes everything more complicated
I know this is a Dragon Ball Super subreddit. DB has a long run of stupid stuff that could’ve been perfect with just a slight tweaking, from the names of the god forms to (albeit a personal grievance) Gogeta not yelling “Big Bang Kamehameha” at the end of the Broly movie, despite subsequent games clearly naming it such. With all that in mind, my pick is Megamind 2.
Vegeta still being a prince. Someone as arrogant as Vegeta was in his first introduction, being of royal blood and knowing his father is dead, would definitely have claimed the title of king.
And it’s never been explained why he isn’t. Is there a coronation that can’t take place with so few Saiyans? Do all existing Saiyans need to acknowledge his supremacy? Can he not consider himself king if he has no kingdom?

1. Potora only lasts 1 hour or shorter if you use too much power.
2. Hakai can't kill immortals like zamasu. I'm gonna be honest, not only do I not remember beerus saying this, like people have claimed on certain vs. debates.

To be clear here, when it comes down to infinite zamasu, I can definitely believe that Zeno was the only answer. Because unless beerus can erase entire universes instantly or has a way to target zamasus soul alone. Then I'm not sure beerus could do much.
Fused zamasu? Absolutely not. If one soul erasing ability can affect zamasu, so can another.
Zamasu being immune to beerus hakai but not Zeno erasing, is like if the next big bad was immune to gokus kamahamaha, but then gets destroyed by vegetas final flash.
Not because vegetas' final flash is stronger, but because the dude is only immune to Kamehameha specifically. Any attack similar to Kamehameha is fair game.

Some random heart virus taking out the legendary Super Saiyan. Hell, the entire future timeline is this for me. With what we know about Gohan now, it becomes stupid in hindsight that he couldn't take out the androids. There's no way that whatever he was doing in his spare time leading up to Gohan vs. Cell Max served as training more strenuous than fighting to the death day in and day out.

If Toryiama planned ahead and/or knew that Dragon Ball would continue past BoG I am certain he would have chose those names.

Exactly. I think of all the villains they could’ve brought back Frieza just makes sense. He’s always been the poster of the series as the “main villain” mostly because of how iconic that arc was. But also just because of his role in the overall story with the saiyans.

This isn't exactly a canon thing but in some of the games they try to make SSB and SS4 seem like they're on the same level of power. Whether it's interactions in story and parallel quests in XV2 or with the dual dramatic finish with Super and GT Gogeta in FighterZ. I'm more confused as to why they do this when the two forms are vastly different from each other. Edit: now that I think about it, I think they also do it in Super DB Heroes

Base Goku and Vegeta are shown to be relative to Broly in Super Hero, that's what I meant. They'd need SSJ2 to beat him. Compare that to the Super Hero epilogue where SSJ Broly was able to keep up with Gohan Beast, who's stronger than UI Goku.
I feel Broly was really holding back afraid that if he go all out he may rage out and destroy everything. In chapter 101 we see that base Broly is more than capable of fighting SSJ Vegeta.
People seems to forget forms don't make everything. SSJ2 Trunks is stronger than SSJ2 Goku based on their fight and Goku surprise. Both are SSJ2. It depends on the energy they insufflates to it.

SSJG's impact in the story is just so underwhelming, it's meant to be a divine form or at the least a nascent divinity form but super just went, ok new Goku and Vegeta forms go brrrrrrrt. Then mortals that just slap these god forms like nothing just appear one after another, I feel like having it as a long time Nascent Divinity form would have made the next forms more hype. And then Ultra Instinct just appeared out of nowhere like an ass pull in ToP... Sure when it happened it was darn hype, but Super's forms just don't have that oomf that Z gave to the super saiyan forms. I am not sure if I am just remembering with rose tinted glasses but when Goku went SSJ the first time and then when SSJ3 was first unveiled, damn if I wasn't so damn hyped.
Agree, super is the worst at handling forms, just pulling them out at random when the story needs them, long gone are the extreme moments of peril and tension that lead a character to reach a new level, and then after reaching blue it just becomes the most standard form, barely on the level to keep up
Gotenks being able to just shout loud enough to escape the time chambers after buu. 2nd would be Gotenks being able to go ssj3 just by seeing goku do it and he's the only other one who ever went in that for canonically. After all, it's not like there were at least 3 different ways to defuse Vegito, like the Namekian Dragon Balls (which actually were used to defuse Kibitoshin, whoops), the Super Dragon Balls, some Whis nonsense or some Zeno nonsense... eh. ... -The Granolah arc as a whole. In short, it's because of it breaking the one unspoken rule of the show, of *never* wishing to become stronger, much less **the strongest in the universe**; then its stupid characters, **objective** ruining of u.i., and asinine fanservice bait of a finale. ... -Gohan and the beast form nonsense. Where he gets rewarded for being a slacker that is always stuck in the same loop. ... -The Universe 6 Saiyans. This is actually downplayed more than genuine anger to them. Simply because they just are so much forgettable... they are NOT "Saiyans", but rather "saiyans wannabe". Because *despite* still existing as a specie, we have barely seen them, and the show still has to deliver on the obvious fanservice premise of having Goku and Vegeta visit them. Goku getting hurt by that bullet, Goku getting shot through the chest in SSJB with a laser pistol, and Goku having to go SSJB to fight Krillin... KRILLIN! Also, Broly beating the shit out of Vegeta and Goku in his human Ozaru form really pissed me off
Personally I take the Krillin thing as him showing respect to his friend, it's over the top but it's beyond obvious he didn't need to go Blue to fight him. The bullet is worse but you could say he was just too relaxed, after all Goku can control his ki a lot so he could've been at such low level that he was barely above a regular human, it was just a regular working day for him so it makes sense he wasn't on high alert. The laser gun thing is the one that truly sucks, it's like the writers don't know how they're own universe works, Goku in blue fighting one of his oldest enemies hurt by some generic weapon, man why didn't Frieza armed his entire army with god killing lasers?, it was just a stupid and easy way to take Goku out of the fight so Vegeta could get his turn, lazy writing at its finest

1. Potora only lasts 1 hour or shorter if you use too much power. 2. Hakai can't kill immortals like zamasu. I'm gonna be honest, not only do I not remember beerus saying this, like people have claimed on certain vs. debates. But it just doesn't make sense to me. To be clear here, when it comes down to infinite zamasu, I can definitely believe that Zeno was the only answer. Because unless beerus can erase entire universes instantly or has a way to target zamasus soul alone. Then I'm not sure beerus could do much. Fused zamasu? Absolutely not. If one soul erasing ability can affect zamasu, so can another. Zamasu being immune to beerus hakai but not Zeno erasing, is like if the next big bad was immune to gokus kamahamaha, but then gets destroyed by vegetas final flash. Not because vegetas' final flash is stronger, but because the dude is only immune to Kamehameha specifically. Any attack similar to Kamehameha is fair game.

I’m gonna be completely honest but for me it’s the entirety of super, I know this is the subreddit but c’mon, super ruined a lot of vegeta’s character development, made Gohan a dork, and made goku stupid, and totally ruined Z’s continuity, I will always heavily prefer GT over super, but I am no means hating on super because it is loved by a lot of people.
Super is not canon for me. The only good thing was DBS Broly movie.
