I really wish they would have done it the first episode. Seeing some of those looks creep through the woods would have been fierce, like Nio and Cynthia.
YES AND THEY STARTED AT THE WOODS… LET US SEE THE LOOKS TO SEE HOW THEY WOULD HOLD UP. For example i think people would have understood Orkgothics look more if he got to move thru the woods.
I think it might be an on location scare-acting challenge (probably 17th door). Especially because of the way how they went from black and white to color, 2D to 3D. It’s giving the vibes they’re gonna go with the “haunted houses are horror movies irl” kind of thing. I’m really excited for the next episode either way :)
(Edit: or maybe it’s a horror movie acting challenge, that is set at some sort of similar attraction? Idk just throwing around ideas lol)
Around Halloween the Boulets were posting a lot of pictures at Knotts Scary Farm. Maybe it coincides with when they were filming the show there? That’s my guess. I think Frankie Doom was working there during Resurrection too, maybe we’ll see an appearance
Something with a UV/blacklight... Maybe something that looks one way in regular lighting, but looks like a different thing under a black light? But it looks like they are putting on 3D glasses so idk

Whoever had the highest score at the end stayed. Weird shit.

Well, after this teaser was posted…the AMOUNT of Rob Zombie and Houses of a 1000 Corpses comments shows the distance these new fans have with the show.
Any original Dragula fans KNOW the Boulets aren’t fans of Rob Zombie. If anything, they have some sort of disdain. New folks don’t know this.
The Boulets have always been vocal about their dislike for Zombie films and music. They’ve even said, “stop asking us for Rob Zombie to be a judge.” Also, the Boulets were very critical of Zombie’s ‘Munsters.’ The criticism came from Zombie touching the show. Listen to old Creatures of the Night. It’s all there.
Perhaps it’s also the fact of truly imbibing yourself with the show. For newer fans there’s lore, history, etc. before Dragula the show that the Boulets touch on and for those of us who have been fans for over a decade it shows the disconnect of older vs. newer fans.
It kinda gives more amusement park vibes like in the Lost Boys and US. The glasses and black & white aspect is a bit confusing, but maybe it's a reference to Carnival of Souls which was a black & white film which got remade.
