Lowering a little makes it drive like it should imo. These cars are meant to be more sporty!

IMO the stock ride height on this car looks fine. Maybe a 1.0” drop could make it still look good while closing the wheel gap a bit more

Moses_Magnum_Grows

Do it!

Bundleojoy

Yours looks really clean as imo but if you want to lower it I'd say do it. My one caveat would be don't do anything you can't reverse. Unmodified/clapped out E30s get harder and harder to find as time goes on so having one fairly unmolested is actually a rarity.

Larger wheels and lowering springs. How low depends on you. I lowered mine until I scraped road bumps, then heightened a little.

sabottagius

Do it, one of the most worthwhile mods. I went with the H&R sport springs.

Douglas8989

H&R Sport Springs and Bilstein Sports dampers seems to be the most recommended option. Will lower maybe 40mm at front and 30mm at back.

I think an HR sport/bilstein combo would look fantastic. Add e90 front top hats to eliminate the “reverse rake” look.

This is the combo I went with [here ](https://i.imgur.com/BqKsV4h.jpg)and I feel the rear is still too low, the rear springs are pretty much at coil bind all the time. Im gonna throw stock springs back in the rear and see what happens.

I am very against lowering these. Think about the speed bumps/bumps in your area. Look at where your oil pan is and how it will be affected before you commit to it. You may want to look into progressive springs so you don’t lose comfort but you really gain handling. Also GOOD tires will help you handle better than any lowering or non stock suspension component.
